  1. Honestly man I love it! Ya the duramax was sweet especially with 100%s, 10mm cp3 and the s369sxe. It literally took 20k though to get 700hp lol. 5k in a 6.2 and you will be running just as fast as a 700hp cc dmax. I live up north and was just sick of gelling issues, additive etc. I own my own construction business installing tile showers etc and wood floors. I have a 7x16 cargo and a 7x14 dump trailer. I had the dump trailer loaded at 8500lbs and my 6.2 towed it great. Plenty of power and braked just fine especially with trailer brakes. Only thing im going to do is throw some sumo springs on rear and possibly coil overs up front. When loaded heavy it can really want to bounce, front end included. I jacked my stock duratracs up to 50 psi and that helped with sway a ton. I knew the only sway I was getting was from my tires. They are 18”s with duratracs which I’ve read have really soft sidewalls even on the 10 plys. This summer I’m buying wheels and ridge grapplers so I’m sure that will make it even better. So so far though the 6.2 amazes me, apparently guys are running high 13s all stock crew cabs with 6.2. Once you get her wound up she pulls hard, my plan is long tubes and a e85 sensor and tune. Those 2 mods alone guys are gaining 80-90hp to the wheels. Be a good 420ish whp after tune and headers. At 5500lbs also vs the 7500 of a duramax. I’ll bet tune and headers could keep up with a built trans max effort dmax all day.
  2. Or you could just put a stock intake on? It flows fine
  3. How does the 6112 compare to say a fox or icon coilover?
  4. Any rubbing up front with 20x10 and 33x12.5?
  5. So if the truck is in park it will play dvds? I remember on the gmt 900's there was a much cheaper alternative to fooling the nav unit into thinking it was in park and would play dvds. It was around $200 iirc.
  6. Holy shit thats spendy. Do our stock units not play dvds?
  7. 285 does in fact determine height as well. Go look at 285/55, 295/55 and 305/55. Both the 295 and 305 is taller than the 285. The 305/55 comes in nearly a inch taller than 285/55.
  8. I’m assuming 10 plys at 70 psi?
  9. You guys should have just gotten a midnight edition. Comes with duratracs from the factory! This new 6.2 gets around way better than my duramax did.
  10. It’s not bad at all. 20% on sides to match rear, 50% on whole windshield is really amazing. I don’t need to wear sunglasses inside the truck anymore. It’s also great at night, I can see great and other cars headlights don’t bother me anymore.
  11. I cut my resonator off already with the flapper clamped open. I’m 3.5” dumped at the axle
  12. Ok I’m gonna order a new muffler. I like the sounds of the black widow venom 250. Problem is they only make it in a 3” version and my 6.2 has 3.5” going in and out of muffler. Can a shop expand the muffler to 3.5”? Also do I need center in center out? I thought I read somewhere that I need center in offset out.
  13. I did my whole windshield at 50% with a 5% legal strip at the as1 line. 50% is tough to tell it’s on there so with my legal strip hopefully a cop just sees that. I haven’t had any issues so far.
  14. My 2018 6.2 with 2500 miles on it has had a very audible tick since day one. This is a video of mine. Mine will only tick when its been running for awhile and up to operating temp. Its louder on drivers side but can still hear a good tick from passenger side. I have had a range afm disabler on since 1,000 miles and at about 300 miles i started driving it in L7 so it wouldnt go into afm mode till the range came here. I also have had a catch can on since 1,000 miles. Does this tick sound like your guys? I never hear any ticking under load or driving, just a very loud tick at warm idle.
  15. I’m running the range on my 2018 6.2 with no issues.
  16. So when chopping the resonator off on my 6.2 my exhaust is 3.5” going in and 2.75” going out to tail pipe. I didn’t put the tail pipe section back on with a piece of straight pipe. This leave the exhaust almost right at the bed where it stars to turn down. I bought a 3.5” to 4.5” 12” long tip to get the exhaust exit down a bit from the bed. I was starting to get a little black soot on the spare tire and frame, plus now you can actually see the exhaust a little if you really try.
  17. Can you adding a clip sound? Yeah man I will get one outside of the cab today. Here’s a video from in cab doing a wot pull. I have the 6.2, muffler only with flapper clamped open and a s&b intake. I’m also using the range device to keep it in v8 mode. https://youtu.be/OIDF7htwWsE
  18. Washed it and did a 4wd launch.
  19. You guys are making me want to order a set of 4 shocks lol
  20. I chopped my resonator off the other day. Stock muffler, valve open. Sounds way better! Stopped by my parents house and my dad asked me if I put exhaust on lol. I think I’m gonna run this setup for awhile. I did notice difference with intwke after exhaust mods, intake is still loud when you want to romp it. I used to get goofy intake noise when it would shift around town you’d hear a quick one second growl that was honestly annoying. That’s no longer there now.
  21. Pulled 7500lbs. Truck pulled it great. Was 12,900 on scales combined weight.
  22. Yes I have started and drove it once since clamping it open. Sounds much better at startup, idle and low rpm. Gets rid of that hiss sound and has a more pronounced deeper rumble. Debating on cutting my resonator off and leaving stock muffler on now.
