  1. Was that with e85 too? What Catback are you running? I need to change mine from Corsa Sport; its just too loud with headers.
  2. So I thought I'd try removing the Z71 badges myself; bad idea... The wheel eraser left behind marks in the paint; anyone know if this will buff out with a polisher? I don't know what went wrong or if maybe its because I have black paint...
  3. yes the l86 can run on e85 but it has to be turned on in the tune.
  4. Depends what’s more important to you. Performance or a warranty. if it were me I might take the opportunity to do a dod delete and upgrade the camshaft. If you're going to fix it may as well get more power out of it imo.
  5. Had rough country 2" leveling kit installed. Along with Fuel Offroad 18x9 +1 offset tech wheels; wrapped in Falken At4w 285/65R18 LT's.
  6. The cam does give up a bit below 2500…
  7. No, the camshaft doesn’t give up much, if any in the mid range. But the Btr truck intake manifold does. Heres an example on an L8T. The third intake manifold in the graph is a short runner design and it gives up even more in the mid range.
  8. I am adding a btr 220 cam. And your right I spend very little time at peak rpm. But I’m looking for full throttle power.
  9. Would an aluminum intake manifold heat soak and effect power? I ask because I’m considering BTR’s truck intake manifold. It loses maybe 40 ft lbs in the mid range but gains 60 plus horsepower/torque up top out to 7000.
  10. Just wondering if 77.98 hub rings will work? I know it calls for 78.1 but I have some hub rings that came with the wheels and it'd be nice if I could use them.
  11. Hi, I'm just wondering if hub rings that are 77.98 will fit. I know 78.1 is what I should use but these hub rings came with the wheels and it'd be nice if I could use them.
  12. I'm sorry, we must be on different pages... I'm talking about how motortrend consulted with lawyers and determined that, "federally", towing over capacity is illegal. Or rather... only if you're caught and end up in court. I'll trust mototrend before some random person on a forum.
  13. I'm not sure who your arguing with because it's not me. I was merely sharing information from a recognized source.
  14. Here's what motortrend has to say on the matter.. https://www.motortrend.com/features/1703-tow-ratings-and-the-law-discussing-limits-of-trailer-size/
  15. Look on the driver's side door jamb...
  16. Ported l86 intake manifold. Not quite done yet though; looking at opening the bottom of the snout so it's 87mm.
  17. Those towing specs are wrong, K2 6.2 trucks never came with 3.73's. Search for your year/model's user manual to get the correct guide.
  18. I'm in Calgary. I might try and sell them locally first. Not sure what I want for them, brand new is 3 grand usd; I also had them ceramic coated.
  19. Gmt900 is the generation of trucks before k2's (2014-2019). What year is your truck, what engine do you have? Search Google for a calculator that will identify your gear ratio; taking your 35's into account.
  20. I think those towing specs are for the gmt900 generation. No, running 35's will change your overall gear ratio. You probably want to go with 4.10's or 4.56's.
  21. They're 1 7/8, with race cats. Fits l83 and l86. I'm in Canada. With headers it makes the engine sound like a sewing machine. You hear the valve train, injectors, everything... plus exhaust noise was excessive. It was fun for a bit but eventually it wears on you. Butt dyno can't tell a difference.
  22. I have a set of kooks ill sell you. I got sick of the noise so I took them off
  23. These manifolds aren't expensive, and you'd have to be trying pretty hard to screw it up.
