  1. Black Bear Performance :: Custom Tuning Solutions for 96 and newer GM Vehicles Wait time is low. Tune updates, "After" 1 year cost extra. Custom tuning via data logging/email. You wont be disappointed.
  2. I like their amber drl's (led board), but its not compatible with ltz trim for some reason https://www.diodedynamics.com/2016-2018-chevrolet-silverado-drl-led-boards.html To be completely honest, I took note of your fog light's because the housing is damn near perfect for an air duct. Mount a brake duct hose between it and the air box... I wonder if they'd let me just buy one replacement housing
  3. I hear you, the factory tuning is aggressively restrictive. The truck should do, what you want it to do right?
  4. Problem is, that doesn't work when trucks/vehicles are in high demand.
  5. Slip Tank
  6. Looks great man Hey, what fog lights do you have?
  7. Yeah, if you look in the owners manual GM call's it, "kickdown mode". Usually it's not a problem for me, but every now and then I end up a little short of that detent. Going wot, but going nowhere fast. As far as I can tell its only purpose is to trick the driver, resulting in less strain on the vehicle. It would also be nice of the pedal had a soft stop, so it's easier to determine where you are in the pedal travel. My foot hasn't found the end range of the pedal; I'd have to move my seat forward..
  8. It's a good thing I've ignored and/or don't read most of Transient's posts.... He isn't following or understanding the context of the topic at all.
  9. I'm just curious if you have checked to see if the tires hit the upper control arms? I currently have 275/65's on oe 18's (stock suspension/same tire) and they hit, and my understanding is that it should actually get worse with a lift/level due to the change in suspension geometry. Maybe you're 18's have different backspacing then mine
  10. Yeah, if it was half that I would be going with a cam too. Depending on the shop you may be able to get it for a couple grand cheaper then a blower install. But then you start thinking about cost per horse power and a blower starts making more sense. But imo a cam would be funner. There's a lot of labor involved. When I had my lifter's/vlom replaced I think gm paid out around 6-6500 cdn parts included? and that's without replacing the camshaft. I think a good speed shop charge's around 150cdn per hr.
  11. Yeah labor isn't 1:1 when comparing USA to Canada; we get screwed over... I don't remember the actual hr's quoted but I do remember it's quite a bit more then the labor for a blower install (at least this shop). They said that they have to pull the engine; that its just as hard if not easier than removing the rad and everything in front. I don't quite understand that, but then again they do a lot of corvettes. Probably have gotten good at pulling them.
  12. I went and fueled up this morning, and I couldn't help but notice how good the truck felt. So a I did a few wot runs, and man she was on fire! So I got home and started thinking about density altitude and was curious what the current DA is in my area. Found an online calculator, punched everything in and came up with = 2284 That's about a 1000ft better then I could even dream of getting during the summer. ahh well, it was fun
  13. Can you insert you're pictures into the thread. Doesn't seem to be working for me.. Do you have oe wheels? My brain is freaking out because you said your not rubbing
  14. This is the minimum needed. Plenty of other vendors that offer kits as well; or you can piece together your own. Imo if your doing the delete you may as well go for a cam too. I would look into BTR, "Brian Tooley Racing". https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5443-texas-speed-performance-gen-5-lt1-lt4-l83-l86-dod-delete-kit.aspx Unless your doing this yourself, be prepared for roughly the same cost as a blower/install. 10k + cdn.
  15. Not everyone wastes their time on forums like we do
  16. I'm not sure who you think is hating? But everything you just said, very clearly describes why and how key cycling/battery warming doesn't work on new vehicles
  17. It's inline, you plug it in and leave it there; you're not reprogramming anything. Pulsar intercepts instructions from the computer and alters it to achieve the desired response. https://www.rangetechnology.com/products/pulsar_lt/parts/22451 https://documents.rangetechnology.com/pulsar_lt_manual.pdf
  18. If you do open it up be sure to post pictures of the valves!
  19. Don't get me wrong, you will definitely feel that. It's just that imo a new block, stronger crank/bearings warrant a much greater power increase. Usually there's fairly significant wiggle room for power increases before it actually becomes an issue. Anything made for boost I see GM over engineering the heck out of it first time around. Just my opinion. Nothing wrong with being stronger!
  20. Yes, You can pull a fuse to disable the ecm (engine control module).
  21. Does you're gas smell like oil All joking aside though, my oil smells like gasoline as well. Imo I would only be concerned if you're oil level is rising excessively between changes. I once had the same concerns as you.
  22. Nothing with Global B Architecture. As to what years this applies to with the Silverado/Sierra I'm not sure. If I were to guess I would say 2022 models have it. 2021 models might have it? If you really want to, you can run your own computers in tandem with GM's computers. But think, "LOTS" of money. This has been successful on c8's with aftermarket turbo's etc.
  23. I don't know if I had the same duratrac's as you? I had factory P rated 265/65r18 With mine is wasn't that they got louder, it was that the frequency of the tire noise changed because of uneven wear (tires were rotated). It was a constant fluctuating high and low pitch mix of tire whine. Just drove me nuts; more so with the high pitch. They were a great tire brand new, but went downhill fast. Maybe because they were factory spec'd tires
  24. Yup, -18 Celsius. -0.4 Fahrenheit is what google says.
