  1. The front one wasn’t too bad, it’s held on with a few clips. Just have to be careful when removing the original emblem if you want to hang on to it. The back one is held on with tape so I’m waiting for warmer weather before it goes on.
  2. Here’s the part number for the black GMC emblems, they come in a set.
  3. Thank you! I got them from MacMaster GM in Orangeville. They do a lot of lift/performance work on trucks so they have some cool goodies in stock every time I stop in. I’ll post a pic of the part number from the box once I get home from work. I don’t know if there will be a difference between Canadian and American part numbers though.
  4. Lmao ain’t that the truth! She’s better at colour combinations than I am though, so I wanted to hear what she thinks of it before I went ahead and stuck on the black one. I would’ve put on the rear one today if it was held on by clips, but the tape is a PITA so I’d rather sleep on it...and wait until it warms up so the tape can cure.
  5. Picked up the front and rear set of black GMC emblems, only put the front one on today because the back is held on with tape, not clips, so I wanted to get my wife’s opinion of how it looked before ripping the red one off
  6. Just under $1400 CAD taxes in
  7. Just got my truck back, definitely got more than I bargained for! My truck was built during a period in the 2016 MY that didn’t have apple CarPlay. Not only did the upgrade include factory navigation, it also gave me the projection icon on my screen and apple CarPlay functionality! To say that I’m impressed with this upgrade would be an understatement.
  8. I’m sitting in the customer lounge at the dealer now, the description online calls the parts required a “cable”, but it does include a new HMI module, antenna and whatever other cables are required to convert to IO6. Looks like the Canadian website doesn’t include as much info as the American one.
  9. Heading to the dealer this afternoon to install the GM accessories navigation upgrade cable. It’s supposed to convert my radio from an IO5 to IO6. One of my irritants with my truck is that it didn’t come with factory Nav, and doesn’t have apple CarPlay so I’ve been stuck using my phone. I’m trying the GM accessory cable because it’s about $600 cheaper than if the dealer brought in York Eectronics to do whatever it is they do to upgrade to navigation.
  10. How old is your truck? My outlet was pretty stiff when my truck was new. Had to really push the plugs in the first few times until it loosened up. I didn’t care if it broke because it would’ve been under warranty, but it loosened up just enough to keep the plugs in there nicely without having to really jam them in.
  11. Have you looked into an 18v cordless vacuum? I use a Milwaukee cordless vacuum that works with the same batteries as my cordless power tools. I charge my batteries in the truck from the 110v outlet for the tools, so there’s always a fresh battery to use in the vacuum. The battery life is pretty good when I use the big 9 ah batteries, not as good with the 5 ah batteries but still lasts long enough to vacuum out the truck
  12. 2016 Sierra SLE All Terrain Weathertech front and rear floor liners, 20% tint all around, BFG AT KO2 tires, driver side A-pillar grab handle, power folding tow mirrors, Leer cap, GM mud flaps, Readylift 2.25” levelling kit and 3” rear blocks. Up next on on the list of mods is an intake, cat-back exhaust and led light bar in the grille.
  13. I can’t wait to see the new tailgate in person once the trucks hit showrooms! I’m trying to convince my dad to trade in his Chevy Express 2500 for the new Sierra when it comes out
  14. Her last day at stock height. Going up 2.25” in the front and 1.75” in the back tomorrow morning!
