  1. I’m 90% wired up but I need to extend the red wire so it can even come close to the trailer harness wires. Have to buy some tonight and see what other connection options are out there. Not sure how to tap into that red and green wire for power. There’s not much room to play with under there and I’m not entirely sure how the heck this connector is even supposed to work unless there’s a lot of wire to play with. Did you have to remove or lower your spare tire to work under there? And is this connector for tapping into the power or for extending the red wire. I can see how it would be used for extending but not for tapping into the wire.
  2. Sunlight and a flashlight seem to enhance every defect. [emoji6] Pictures look way worse zoomed in and outside than just looking at the tire with my normal eyes. Definitely some peeling there though. Checked all 4 tires and in the 6k miles I’ve put on them I’m at 13/32 on all 4. They seem to be wearing nice and even. I am wondering though if maybe 35psi is too little in the front. They are not an LT tire but they are heftier than my older Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and certainly the OEM SRA’s that came on the truck. So maybe they do need a little more air than what GM is calling for. I aired up to 37psi this morning. I did rotate them from the front to the back before the road trip and even though I didn’t notice the peeling, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there before rotating. Curious to hear what General has to say though.
  3. They are not LT. They are P tires, 275/55/20. It’s a fairly new size for the ATX and last I checked it’s still not on the General website. TireRack has it listed though. Weird.
  4. Thanks. Alignment was done when the tires were put on and it was all good. That was right before winter so a lot can change in that time, but these are the back tires, not the front. I did have the tires rotated right before the road trip so they WERE on the front but weren’t showing this wear before the trip after they were moved to the back. Curious to hear what Genera has to say when they get back to me.
  5. Got mine in the mail today. Instructions they provide are slim, but hopefully the photos you all took here and info can be of some help to this non electrical genius here. Meaning me!
  6. Just got back from an 1,800 mile road trip down through Kentucky and Tennessee. The ATX’s drove nice, smooth and quiet on the all highway trip and got an average of 19.3 mpg for the entire trip. A couple of tanks I was getting 20.5 mpg but the drive home through hilly West Virginia and Pennsylvania took my trip average down. Got home and noticed there was some weird peeling on the tread and wasn’t sure if it was the roads down there in KY and TN. I thought potholes in western PA were bad, but it seemed like I spent the whole time down in KY and TN trying to dodge potholes way more than I do here at home. Hit quite a few of them and was wondering if that could of caused the peeling? Seems odd that it would but I don’t really know. The ATX is the most aggressive tire I’ve owned, so is this a thing when too much time is spent on a paved pot-holey highway? Tire pressures were set before the trip at 35psi (cold). I sent a message to General as well asking them.
  7. Noticed the Gen5DIY switch kit was now in stock so I ordered one for my '18 Sierra about an hour ago. Already got the shipping notification that the part was shipped. That was fast! Looking forward to getting this one installed.
  8. Curious if you ever got this issue looked at? Probably a different issue since you said yours does go to full after a while, but a couple months ago for a few fill ups I couldn’t get to full. My last two tanks I found that if I don’t pump the gas with the nozzle open at full flow I can fill it up. With the nozzle all the way open full flow I can only fill up to about 22-23 gallons and the pump/nozzle clicks off and can’t add more. Not sure if it’s an outside temp thing or what. I’m real leery of overfilling since last year about this time (again it was cold) my evap canister and solenoid were replaced because of a similar issue. I always stop when the nozzle shuts off so I don’t know how I had an issue to begin with. But apparently I did. Temp related issue? Not sure.
  9. My Undercover did as well, just a little less than the new Truxedo Sentry I put on. Always helps to have validation that Im not the only one and that they all do it. Thanks!
  10. Replaced my Undercover Flex tri-fold tonneau a couple months back because the underside was getting some corrosion and the latches were really rusting out. Sliced a few fingers a few times and that’s when I decided it was time for a change. I ended up getting the Truxedo Sentry CT. Nice cover! Super easy install and I think it looks great. I noticed theres some bounce in the cover at the tailgate when cruising down the highway and figured it was just due to it being at the end of the cover sitting on top of the tailgate. Nothing too crazy. It’s all nice and secure and tight on the side latches so I was thinking maybe it’s just due to the rigid aluminum slats of the cover. Anyone else experience this bounce on the tailgate with their roll up covers?
  11. Just got back from having the part replaced. All fixed now. I called the dealership on Monday and asked if the part has come in yet since its been a month and a half. After being on hold for a few minutes he comes back and says it just got delivered last Friday and they just haven't had a chance to call me yet to schedule a time to come in. Hmmmm. Coincidence? I don't think so, and I think I got lost somewhere under the parts counter. Im glad I called to double check. Anyway, I made the appointment for today and just got back. So we're all good now.
  12. Mine was done at the collision center for my dealership. They have a chain of dealerships as well as the collision center to support the brands for all of their dealerships.
  13. Thats the worst when it just happens and you have nothing to do with it. I feel your pain. Ive had that happen before. Luckily this time, I at least know who and how it happened. I couldn't be too upset though since it was a family member that did it and they felt awful after.
  14. Thought I'd share how my truck with the ATX's did the other night. Got about 4 inches of snow here in western Pennsylvania and I had to head to the airport to pick up my wife from her flight. I was cruising down the highway before the snow plows got around to clearing them and there was about 2-3 inches of unplowed highway I was cruising down. I was watching cars spinning their wheels and sliding backwards on one particular hill and my truck wasn't even breaking a sweat. Granted I was only going about 45 mph because of all the cars that were around, but still. I was very impressed. What impressed me more than that was when I realized I wasn't even in 4WD at the time. Whoops! Normally, when I can no longer see the pavement because it's covered, thats when I turn the dial to 4Hi. This time it completely slipped my mind because the truck and the ATX's were playing so nicely together.
  15. $212. He quoted me between $150 - $200. So it was on the higher end of that quote for sure. But it wasn't the $425 I was quoted from the dent shop, so it was a pretty easy pill to swallow.
  16. I just realized that I still haven’t gotten a call from the dealership letting me know the part came in. It was on backorder when I had them look at it around the middle of December. Wonder if it’s still on backorder or if they just forgot about me. Guess I’ll be calling tomorrow to find out.
  17. Great! Glad I can be inspiring and that you got your dent issue worked out. ? The fill issue was fixed last year about this time by replacing the solenoid and evap canister. I’m wondering if it’s an outside temperature issue. It’s been cold here in western PA and it was fine until early winter when the temp started dropping. There’s another thread on this issue from a few days ago so it’s something others are experiencing as well. I’ve got an oil change coming up in about 1k miles so I’ll have them look at it again when I go in for that.
  18. Thanks. Full of surprises for sure. Now I need to deal with the recurring issue of not being able to fill the gas tank to a full tank. Fixed it last year under warranty but it looks like it may be rearing it’s ugly head again.
  19. Yep! But it was also the most expensive nothing I’ve ever paid for. [emoji6]
  20. Thanks all. I’ll let you know how it turns out and post an “after” pic. I’m taking it to the same place that fixed me right up after I was rear ended by a mini van shortly after I bought the truck. I didn’t even think of them initially since it’s such a small dent. I assumed they’d have much bigger fish to fry.
  21. Had a set on my 2018. Crawled with confidence through everything that Pittsburgh could throw at them!
  22. My dealership collision shop seems to think they can pop it right out and it should only be about $150. IF they have to do anything more extensive than that including paint, thats when it would be about $450. We'll start small and see what we can do with popping it out 1st. Taking it on on Thursday. Better photo.
  23. Taking it to the dealership body shop tomorrow morning to have them take a look. Same place that fixed my bumper after being rear ended by a mini van. Curious what they have to say about it and what they will charge.
  24. This weekend my '18 Sierra decided to get a little too close to the snow blower and is now left with a golf ball sized dent in the fender. Oh boy! Got a quote from a dent repair shop for about $425. They mentioned that our trucks underneath the wheel well liner also have some metal that wouldn't allow access to the dent from the wheel well. So they would need to remove the bumper, the grill and I think they said the fender as well. Anyone have a similar experience? Here's what we are looking at. Best photo I can get at the moment of my salty and crazy dirty truck.
