  1. Good question on the shocks, because I honestly don’t know. I would imagine whatever it came with. And yes, I’m running LT tires. I thought about trading for some 18’s
  2. A little background on my truck. I bought it with a leveling kit, and am running 275/60/20’s all around on stock wheels. I love the look, but it rides very rough. What’s being done on here to resolve this? I’m guessing a great set of shocks. Any advice?
  3. I did not. The only thing that had to reset was the external temperature. It showed 32 at first, but then it caught up.
  4. Looking to replace my Discoverer AT3’s next year sometime, and have seen lots of trucks running those Ironman AT’s. The reviews are excellent, and the price I’ve seen as low as $125/ea. Anyone here running them?
  5. So, I used whatever Napa had. I paid $147 out the door for an AGM. Keep in mind I get a good guy discount since I used to work for a Cadillac dealer, so we used them a lot. As far as Optima batteries go, I have heard the same complaints you are hearing. I didn’t want to spend the ridiculous money for a Chinese battery. I was having AC issues with my old battery. My driver’s side wasn’t cooling as well as my passenger side. I had an active body code for low voltage to the HVAV system, so after about 2 years of that battery, I felt it was time to replace it. Slapped the new one in, cleared the body codes, and I’m back cool again. My buddy at Cadillac swears up and down that I didn’t have to remove the coolant tank, but I did it anyway. It made the job easier.
  6. In Florida, because of the intense heat, I’ll usually get right around 2 years, and when the battery decides to go, there is usually no warning. You’ll just walk outside to leave, and nothing.
  7. For those DIYers...I know join the club of those who have replaced the old flooded cell battery. I also believe the engineers at GM to be sadistic. I’ve never had to remove so much crap just to be able to remove a battery, for Fox Creek...On the bright side, I did spring for an AGM, and it is smaller in size
  8. Ed, my truck is also a 14. If the actuator is truly bad, you can change it yourself if you have some mechanical knowledge. I believe GM calls to remove the entire dash, but I did see a video on YouTube where you only removed the glovebox and radio. I’ll see if I can find the link,
  9. Just learned that a lot of GM trucks with dual zone climate control have had issues with their blend door actuators for the AC system. A blend door is what regulates the temperature of the air leaving the vents. They can either be vacuum or electrically operated. A clue to this may be that the temperature on one side may not match the other side (hot, or warm when it is set to cold). I was fighting an issue with my AC just not blowing very cold at all, and I feared the worst. But, I noticed on my way to work that the window and windshield on my passenger side were fogging up from the cold air. You just never think to check the passenger air coming out. I was able to reset the AC by disconnecting the truck’s battery for 30 minutes, reconnecting it, then turn the key to on, but do NOT start the engine. During this time, do NOT touch anything! Wait for approximately 1 minute, the truck will tell you to roll down the driver’s window, then back up. After 1 minute, turn the engine on. The AC system has reset itself, and should function as normal.
  10. Alright, well myself and friend of mine are replacing my compressor, condenser, and expansion valve on my 2014 Crew Cab with the 5.3. I need to know how much PAG oil I need to add to the system when these 3 components are replaced. I am using Warren AC components. Thanks!
  11. That’s beautiful work. About how long did it take you?
  12. So, would I need to separate the housing on a 2014 in order to install the new projector?
  13. Man, I just run into you everywhere, huh? It’s Ross
  14. Anyone here just running their own custom set up, like a sleeper? I’m not a fan of the chrome tips, and like just plain piping.
  15. Great song. Maybe I’ll name mine “Bonzo” after John Bonham.
  16. This is my 14 SLE with 86K. Who here named their truck? Mine needs a name!
