  1. Glad you got what you wanted. They were giving crazy deals on the rams from 2019. I got about 14,000 off. another thing I liked was the advertised price on all the GM’s I looked at were including a ton of rebates that I couldn’t get. Like GM lessee. But the ram advertised price was only $500 cheaper than I got since I am not military.
  2. I gave up. Went to a dealer just in the outskirts of my city that has all the major brands in a row. Ford, gmc, Chevy, ram, Jeep, Chrysler, dodge, etc. so you can walk from one to the other. Makes it very convenient. I had been looking at the new ram 1500’s. Got a ram 1500 Laramie 4wd with almost every option available for significantly less than chevy would do. I hate it because I wanted the gmc. But the ram is one hell of a nice truck. Rides better than the chevys/gmc. More options for less money. And way, way nicer interior. And more power at right around 400hp and 400tq. I am not a ram fanboy and when I get another vehicle in about 2 years it will probably be a Chevy/gmc then. But for now this is a super nice truck.
  3. I didn’t have any luck getting to the pricing some here were able to get. All the dealers advertise prices I would have been happy with but when you contact them they are just being sneaky and in my opinion openly dishonest and listing prices with every rebate possible knowing very few if any buyers can actually get every rebate they add in. There is a local dealer who has some leftover 2018 Denali 1500’s but they are all black which I swore I would never buy another black vehicle. Maybe those advertised prices are real since they are now almost 2 years old now. I am still looking.
  4. Someone above mentioned ‘not on an at4’ Are the AT4 package trucks that rare that they will not deal on them as much? All dealers in my area have multiple AT4 trucks on the lot from 19. I wouldn’t think they are rare enough to demand any more than any other model.
  5. Thanks for all the info @Cowpie found another at4 that is close to me and has a slightly higher msrp but about the same ‘sale’ price. Guess I need to get into the dealerships. Have an infection in my leg and was trying to stay off it till it heals. I have a feeling that when I get in there, the advertised sale price will include discounts I am not eligible for. But maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.
  6. Looking at a 19 at4. This would be my second new vehicle in my life. Always purchase vehicles that are a couple years old and let someone else take a lot of the depreciation hit. I know this is a pricing thread and not necessarily a instructional thread but can anyone give me some input on how to get the best deal through Gm??? Just as an example, I know for Jeep, you can sign up for their ‘tread lightly’ organization for like $100 a year +/- and it gets you a discount of 1% off a new Jeep. Anyone have any suggestions??
  7. Thank you for the article. It always amazes me how serious people take their brand loyalty. If Chevy built the Wranglers, people would applaud them and the new Gladiator. But since it is another brand, it gets pooped on. Maybe rightfully so here on a chevy truck site. But I dont think so. I for one have owned multiple jeeps (srt8 cherokee with cam and vortech supercharger), multiple chevy trucks (have my lowered 2016 standard cab short bed and a 1970 C10 with big block on bags with short bed as I write this), ram 2500 lifted with cummins, and many others. All had pros and cons. As a Jeep fan, I love the new gladiator concept. I do think it would have looked better with a slightly shorter bed. More inline with the H2T that someone mentioned above. But I know they had to make it usable so people could haul something. I do agree with the above comment that once lifted with larger tires, they are going to turn heads. I have already gone out and priced a new rubicon with basically all options. But I want to wait for more details on the diesel. Almost 450 lbs torque in a Jeep will be amazing.
  8. Looks like right side of cover at the same level as centerline of axle tube. Pointing right. Not back at you. You can only see the side of it.
  9. Not sure if it was said but you can call her insurance as well. OR allow your insurance to coordinate. I have done it both ways. Hopefully dash cam shows what you need. But most people are willing to accept responsibility when they are at fault. The exception is when you hit them and they start getting sue happy. I have a dash cam in my vehicle but really need to get one for the other cars in my family.
  10. I'm running 285/45/22's on my regular cab. They are a little tall for my liking but they fit fine. They only rub the inner fender liners on very big dips. I am a little lower than you.
  11. When you upgrade from a 2.0 to 2.5 hmi for Apple Carplay, what button on the steering wheel do you use to answer a call? I tried the check mark button which I thought was the way you answered when connected via bluetooth but it didnt work. So I just used the buttons on the screen. I am pretty sure the end call button on the wheel worked when I had to end the call.
  12. Cool. What color you going with? (assuming they have multiple options)
  13. What are the new wheels?
  14. Do you only pimp your services on this forum or do you ever actually answer questions people have where the answers could help others???
  15. PS Already installed the camera. Just need the programming now.
  16. Might try to rephrase the question.... I have been thinking of getting a 2.5 HMI to get Apple Carplay. The seller said they can program in the Rear View cam which is the same thing the OBDgenie does I guess. So to rephrase my original question, what difference could I experience between getting the dealer to program which I assume changes the configuration with Chevy as well or getting the HMI programmed by some other means?
  17. It would be fitting if you had a GM truck. On a GM truck website. But I am sure it is informative either way. Good luck with the youtube channel.
  18. Is someone trying to advertise their youtube channel?????
  19. And for those that upgraded from non-nav to nav, where does the nav antenna get routed to? I dont have nav and will probably never use the factory maps (use apps on iphone) but the speed limit thing sounds kind of handy and it couldnt hurt resale value. Trying to justify the extra costs of the Nav HMI versus non-nav.
  20. Apparently I am in the same boat as you. 2016 with a 2.0 HMI I assume due to the parts issues. I may go ahead and order from dokus as well. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay???
  21. I found a few people talking about the genie. It is a small obd2 device that programs the radio to accept the rear camera. Works just like factory. I don’t know how technically it works differently than what the dealer would do. But the threads I read about it say it works perfect. Just saves trip to dealer. https://www.obdgenie.com/collections/gm-genies/products/gm-rear-view-camera-programmer-g-rvc to be honest I am not sure about the pre wire part. I figured my 2016 Lt trim truck should have whatever it needs. If not I am screwed I guess.
  22. I have read a lot about adding the factory rear view cam to my 2016. I have ordered the camera and handle assembly and it should be here next week hopefully. I was going to order the OBD Genie programming device that turns on the rear cam but started thinking that if I do that, and the dealer ever has to reflash my truck I may have to go back and use the obd genie again. No big deal unless something happens and the genie dies over time etc. My local dealer said they will add the programming for $175. They said $100 for something from Chevrolet’s side and then $75 labor. The Genie is $199 and I dont have to go to the dealer and deal with all that. Anyone one have any advice or opinions on either option?????
  23. ProClip has mounts that go around the left or right center vents. You buy the mount then you pick the phone holder you want. So if you change phones etc you can just change that part of the mount. They also have a mount that goes just over the radio.
  24. Just got a 2016 1500 regular cab short bed. It has a mcgaughys kit with spindles in front and flip kit in back. It is slightly too low for the tire size. So until I can buy new wheels and tires I want to raise the front 1/2-1 inch just for now. But the kit eas installed by a dealer for the previous owner and I have none of the rings that came with the mcgaughys struts. Does anyone have any any rings they aren’t going to use they would be willing to part with????? please pm me. I need at least 3 but 5 would be great just in case I want to go up the full inch. Thanks all.
