  1. Do you have any pics? Thanks!
  2. So nobody has swapped from 5100s to 6112s yet?
  3. I had the Grabber HDs on a work van and was very surprised how good of a tire it was, best all year commercial tire I've used. We get a lot of snow and it did better than I thought it would. Also curious about the APT. Only non LT 275/70r18 tire out there. 11" wide on a 8.0 rim and 33.2" tall. Sounds like a great fit for stock wheels, may need a level.
  4. They came back and told me that "it's no longer a valid tsb and we can't do anything about it". They did fix the other issue so I'll just have to fix it myself. It's like they were too arrogant after the first tech had no idea what he was talking about to acknowledge it's a real GM bulletin. Besides that, what kind of techs do you have if they can only look at and fix something if it's a TSB? How about you look at the issue and figure it out?
  5. I think the service writer was just taking the techs word for it. The tech was clearly wrong hopefully they have somebody else look at it. I'm a service tech myself, but not automotive and we have a few guys at our shop that don't have any clue as to what they're doing too.
  6. first they said it was from all data not GM and they couldn't do a thing about it. So I looked it up when I was there and it looks like a GM document to me. They finally agreed to look into it again but they don't think it's from GM. I showed them the PDF on my phone and she was pretty non-responsive. My truck is less than a year old with 3500 miles
  7. Dealer says this is not a TSB and there's nothing they can do about it. it sure looks like in the link posted this is from general motors, can anyone confirm?
  8. Also, measure from the middle of your wheel cap to the fender lip. Then tire size won't skew readings in comparison to other trucks.
  9. I won't have my truck back for a few days, but I have my fronts at the 3rd setting (4th being the highest) and a 2" rear block. I don't have as much rake as you. Seems like your fronts are at the stock setting, maybe 2nd.
  10. Bilstein says the 6112 springs have a spring rate of 750lbs, linear. I've read oem is 560. To me it sounds like these would be much, much firmer but I've read it doesn't quite work like that. Maybe someone smarter than me will be able to explain why, but I figured I'd share the info.
  11. I feel that there is a lot of difference in rake with our trucks. I didn't have nearly as much as some had. I put my 5100s on the 3rd setting and it looked nearly level, top setting would have probably been perfectly level. I'm not a fan of leveled trucks so I left it at the 3rd setting and replaced the 1.25" block with a 2". Still has rake so when I put a full load in the back or am towing my car it's perfectly level. I'd really like to hear Frome so done who goes from good 5100s to 6112s. I'm part of the group that says the 5100s are decent but far from blow my mind outstanding. It's firmer than I want. I do have 20s, but with a P rated 33.
  12. Those trucks all have spoilers. The whole aero package is completely irrelevant to this discussion as according to your theory they should have a flat bed cover with no spoiler. Additionally those trucks sit very low and I'd be willing to bet under that "bed cover" is a spider web of tubular bars making up the frame with big old wheel wells that take up most of the space. Not to mention a "bed" on one of those would only add weight and expense and since it's all fiberglass it wouldn't be able to hold any weight anyways.
  13. I noticed absolutely no difference in economy when I installed one. It would have been a nice side benefit but I got the cover to keep my stuff mostly dry. I assume a 8' box would see better aero gains than my 5'8.
  14. I lost about 3mpg with duratracs. I got ride of them due to issues I had with them and went with a slightly less aggressive Cooper AT3 4S and reclaimed 1mpg. The truck got noticeably better mileage on the stick Fortitude HT tires.
  15. To quote myself from the thread above that "I think you're gonna to have fitment issues with that size tire. Plus a 305 shouldn't be mounted to a 8.5" wheel, it's too wide. 265/70r18 or 275/70r18 is what you want"
  16. Mine don't, what's your offset? I'm on a 1.2" setting and 20x9 +24.
  17. I think you're gonna to have fitment issues with that size tire. Plus a 305 shouldn't be mounted to a 8.5" wheel, it's too wide. 265/70r18 or 275/70r18 is what you want.
  18. I'm runningn 275/60r20 on 20x9 + 24. 1.25" front lift, .75" rear lift on my 2018. I've read 1.85" front lift pushes these UCAs a little far and I really like the front and rear lift as it is. I have minor minor rubber occasionally when backing up and I've read it's the carpet liner and can be easily fixed but it happens so infrequently I haven't bothered.
  19. I'm interested in hearing from people coming from 5100s. I'd like a slightly more supple ride than my 5100s at 1.2" lift
  20. I believe the reason they recommend boot down is to remove unsprung weight from the suspension side of things. It makes no real difference, but technically a small amount less weight will slightly improve their performance. A damaged shaft is a bigger concern then a dent in the shock body.
  21. A 1/4" spacer will be around 1/2" lift for the front
  22. Excited to read reviews of those going from 5100s to 6112s.
  23. Other vehicle kits are 650-700. I think once these are picked up at various places we will see a similar price. Might take a month or so.
  24. Where are you getting these pics? I see they're on Bilstein.com now but I can't find what you posted. Do they list the spring rates? When I called Bilstein last they didn't have that info.
  25. I thought they were just released. those are definitely just 5100s with spacers.
