  1. Any long term updates on this? 2018 silverado doing the same thing with less than 1k miles. I notice it 55 to 65 mph and louder under load. It's driving me crazy. I have not had time to take it to the dealer yet. I am considering a lift and 35s. However I'm apprehensive because if something does finally give in the differential, I don't want to be left holding the bag because "my modifications caused the failure." I am also considering regearing to 4.10s if I go to 35s. Forgive my ignorance, but would that totally replace the ring, pinion, bearings that some of these guys got replaced? The 4x4 shop that regears it should set the backlash and preload on the new gears anyhow, right? Thus eliminating this problem, of course assuming the shop that regears knows what they're doing.
