    Hi: My windshield wipers are running slow and at the same (slow) speed on all settings. Is this a shot wiper motor? If so is it a diy replacement? Thanks in advance. 2014 GMC Sierra SLT

    2014 GMC Sierra 1500 My battery tested as pooched the other day so I put in a new one. Now the dash gauge stays at about 12V while driving except every hour and a half or so will go just above 14V for 3-4 minuets then go back to 12V. I never remember this ever happening before. The gauge was always at just above the 14V and stayed there. Is this just because the battery is new and doesn't need to draw a charge very often or is something wrong with the battery? Please let me know. Thanks.

    Thanks Sid.

    It was the oil pump.  Good call.  In the shop still under warranty.

    That could have been a blown engine.  My mech didn't pick up on it right away.

      Sorry to bother you again but a week later a lifter of the left side failed.  GMC replace all 4 on that side also on warranty.  My question is;  What are the odds that lifters will fail on the right?  I am worried that I will forever be chasing follow on problems from the initial oil pump fail.

      I would love your opinion.

      unfortunately gm will only fix what has failed, they should have replaced all if the lifters knowing of the low oil pressure, you might not have any more problems only rime will tell
