2016 Silverado LTZ - Mid Travel to Prerunner Build
AZ_RADO_RNR replied to AZ_RADO_RNR's topic in Member Build Threads
Yeah I'll be running this setup for all of 2021, I need alot of seat time in the truck. As of right now, I'm working on finalizing pricing to do the following: Cab Cage Engine Cage Rear Backhalf Traditional Link's (No short course links for me) Rear Shock Package (3.0s + 3.5s??) Lacing the frame + plating / gussets 70gal Fuel Cell Wilwood Brakes Camburg Rear End (40 Spline Axels, Spool, etc..) Custom plumbing (fuel cell, wiring) PRP Racing Seats (Front & Rear) Custom Interior (Headliner, dash, console, etc..) Hubs Other stuff im missing All of the big name shops are booked a year out so none of this would get started until 2022 + all these shops require a 1 year downtime so I wouldn't have the truck back until 2023.- 42 replies

Removed the Camburg Mid-travel kit up front (also deleted 4WD) and went with a long travel kit from Dirt King; strapped at 18.5 inches of travel. Just got my +6 front and rear fenders back from paint and 37's will be installed this weekend. I'll post better photos soon, here's a teaser!- 42 replies

Yeah I went 3.0s in the rear. I will be keeping the 2.5/3.0 shock package for my new front set up, longer shock length. Shock tuning, valving etc is not my expertise so I'll have it professionally tuned.- 42 replies

I'm assuming you have a K2 truck, I have the Evil Manufacturing 3rd brake light but if you need more rear light output, GJ Motorsports also makes a 3rd brake light that will fit 3 BD S2's. PS - Du Ma May- 42 replies

I'll be deleting 4WD and upgrading to the Dirt King Race Kit in a few months and would like to secure a serious buyer for my current Camburg Long Travel Suspension set up. The $7,300 price includes: King 2.5 Coilovers w/ adjustable resi (just rebuild by SDHQ in Gilbert, AZ) King 3.0 Triple Bypasses - Valved specifically for this kit. Camburg Long Travel Kit (UCA/LCA) + Hardware (Brake lines, extended tie rods, 4WD Axles, etc..) I will have all new brake lines and uniballs (let me know your taper size). 4130 heat treated chromoly have had no usage since I've installed this kit. This will essentially be a new kit, this kit retails for $9100+tax. This kit is for both 2WD/4WD and for the 07-18 Silverado/Sierra's. For $7,500 I'll throw in my front +3 FiberWerx fenders that have been painted black and have bed liner on the inner skin for extra strength. This is a complete bolt on kit that will allow you to eat 99% of open terrain at high speed. Located in AZ, I am in SoCal every other month so I can deliver. For all other states, I can provide estimated shipping costs. **Front and side shots of the truck have been provided for better details of width of the kit and fenders.

Yeah I sold the old set up. In a few months, I'll be deleting 4WD and selling the current front and rear suspension set up; I'll be sure to make a post here when the time comes.- 42 replies

Yes caging the truck was in the response. The day after install I did a shakedown and jumped the truck going 80MPH, never clenched my ass so hard before as I preloaded the suspension from a dip and the rear started to lift higher than the front a quick sec when I got air time. -

I'm running the Camburg kit. It's night and day difference regarding off-road performance with the additional bypass. The people who are happy with just a 2.5/3.0 King/Fox coilover even at custom mid-travel spec just don't drive their vehicle hard enough. Without the bypasses I was constantly bottoming out the front, next step is to work with a shock tuner to get both the rear/front 3.0 triple bypasses properly tuned. Once everything is tuned, I'm going to use this current set up to improve my off-road driving skills. In 1.5 / 2 years or so I will do a 4WD delete and run a race kit in the front (might do j-arm set up but need to see if the additional 3 inches is worth it from your typical 17/18in travel from race kits) and link the rear (not sure if I wanna do short course or traditional) and cage the truck. I'm still undecided on engine modifications, I see dudes with 600HP+ blown L86s who are not using all that power off road and that kind of power would for sure get me in trouble lol. I regularly post stories of me on Instagram sending/pushing the truck pretty hard -- shoot me a DM for the handle if your interested in that kind of content.
