  1. I have a month-old 3.0L Duramax AT4 and this morning (temps in the low 30s), the electric radiator fan came on full speed while i was warming up the truck. It remained on throughout my commute, and came immediately back on when i fired the truck up 6 hours later to leave. I've read that the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) requires occasional flushing at elevated temperature and the manual indicates that the exhaust and such runs hot during this process so that the engine fan may be increased during this time. However, i also read that there would be some sort of notice on the dash about this mode being on and I received no such notice. I just rolled over 1100 miles. Can anyone with one of these new DuraMaxe owners confirm that this is what's going on, or is there something else going on here? I can't find reference to anything related to DPF cleaning or purging anywhere in the infotainment or dash menus,,, It's pretty annoying because it's 32 degrees out, the water temp gage is so low as to not even appear (i.e., below 160) and the damn fan is running like i just drove 100 mph in arizona in the summer for an hour.
  2. Yes, matte black. Funny, I picked up my (close to identical) truck from that same dealer a little over a week after that video was released. Mine has regular mirrors tho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I think it would. You may have to do something to the chrome to prep the surface, but I'm guessing powder coat is what they do from the factory. FWIW, they should be flat black, not gloss.
  4. Had this exact same issue with my new 2020 AT4 (CarbonPro) diesel. Would not work while at the dealership, but I drove 500 miles to get my truck (and it was Saturday Evening) so I made the trip home without NAV. After I got home, I was troubleshooting (seeing if other connections inside the console worked) and after plugging a USB cable into the jack next to the SD slot, it started working. This was the first time the SD card ever worked as it then began to "initialize" the card for the NAV system. Figure it was a loose connector on the cable or the jackplate. Every once in a while, I'll get a "SD card removed" error after I'm messing around inside the console, so there's likely an intermittent connection issue there. I'll have a look at it when I get around to installing my AutoStop Eliminator. Anybody seen a TSB on this?
  5. Total BS. If you have the Nav system, you get a card. Note the cards are serialized to the truck, so you can't take one out of a buddy's truck and swap it to see if it works. Call you (idiotic) dealer and explain to them that you were not given the SD card for your NAV system.
  6. What was the cost? Just curious because it seems it would be pretty simple to detach your chrome ones and have them powder coated, etc. to black for less than what OEM parts would cost...
  7. Can you add tailgate step lights if you already have the Kicker system? It looks like the lights go into spaces already occupied by the sound system... Thx.
  8. If you start and the top of this tread and read the whole thing, you'll get part numbers, installation instructions, etc.
  9. Got it installed today. Went pretty smoothly. The passenger side bed cap was riding up a little so make sure to check for that and press down on the cap before you drill. One hole I had to oval out a bit because the cap riding up caused the drilled hole to be a little low. I didn’t have a 7mm or 9/32” bit so I used a 1/4” and it worked just fine. I highly recommend using a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to 8.7NM (77 in-lbs). The way the rail attaches, it feels like you can keep going a bit more when the wrench clicks, so it’s hard to do by feel. Also re-check torque if fasteners after you torque the last one. I noticed a light gap at each corner up by the cab. Some adhesive-backed silicone foam tape or the like Should fix that if water tightness is important. Same goes for the space between the two portions of the multi-pro. Tighten the securing bolts evenly. The manual says this, and it is important to ensure the tonneau is alighted well so that the slam latches all work properly.
  10. The attachment system for the GM factory cover (see above) using the J-Nuts works pretty well. It would be nice if GM would make that attachment system available as a separate part number (or make the parts available to tonneau manufactureres) because you should be able to use that system to attach any type of rails/tracks to the bed sides of the CarbonPro without having to drill or cut through any of the carbon fiber portion.
  11. Okay, so mine arrived today. Likely wont have time to install until next weekend, but here's a scan of the PDF install manual (PDF Attached). Things to note: You install the J-nuts under the lip of the plastic bed cap, and need to drill holes through the plastic bed cap (but not the carbon bed itself) to access those holes for install. Fortunately, plastic bed caps are cheap and replaceable, so no big deal, but this is not a "no drill" install, but for all intents and purposes, it is. One Rivnut per side is already installed int he bed, at the rear (by the tailgate). Curious what accessory that was designed for (the rotating cargo basket?) Does not appear that anything is mounted/bolted/screwed to the front of the bed so the good news is that this thing should be completely (and quickly) removable so you can do things like, load dirt bikes into the bed, etc. Finally, there's an option for the power up/down tailgate which is interesting as that is only an option in the Chevy High Country, to my knowledge.... maybe this means Chevy CarbonPro is in the works? 12. Nicely done, very clean.
  13. How easily is it removed once installed? Presumably, you can leave the rails and J-hooks installed and have access to the full bed (e.g., for loading dirt bikes in the back? Any idea who manufactures this for GM? Thx
  14. Here's my new 2020 with the Diesel, CarbonPro, Technology Pkg, Sunroof, and DuraTracs.... and blacked-out GMC badges.
