I typed in the exact number from the picture on my phone and amazon came up with the 2014-2018.

That exact Vitro window has been used for the last 6 years. Earlier this week I would buy a factory new window on Amazon. It was listed for 2014-2018chevy and gmc

It took five trips back for GM to finally say a new window would be required. Now it’s backordered and they can’t tell me when it will be available. Good luck. The second caulk job was sloppier than the first.

Good luck. My dealer got me 5yr-60k Miles. The 1800 crowd just restated my gripes and said they have no new information (even though when all of this started they said they could rush parts and such) and understand my frustration and offer compensation after the vehicle is repaired but can’t tell you what said compensation is. They did ask if I financed through the dealer and I asked them why. She told me they can make a payment for me when my truck is in the shop for x amount of days. I told her I’ve only made 1 payment to date she could pay it for me(I payed the truck in full but she didn’t know that yet). After all was said there was nothing she could do and for some reason could t contact the dealership? Claimed no answer? They answer every time I call them. Anyhow time to get off of my soapbox. Good luck to you and your endeavors with GM.

Talked to an Executive Customer Service Rep today. She wanted to check with the dealership to verify my story. I gave her the options of buyback or lemon law. This is ridiculous. Some of Y’all have waited 60+ days. I’ve waited 41 today. 44 come Monday. This has cost me about 10% of the cost of the truck so far personally and no telling how much it’s cost my business that I can’t pinpoint. I’ve asked them not to blow some up my tail with bogus compensation claims or promises to find out about the backordered window or headliner and report back with no information when GM is making trucks every day and I’m sure their not rolling them out of the plant without rear windows or headliner. I also asked her not to blame any of these delays on a strike that happened and ended before I purchased the vehicle. I also let her know that I paid for the vehicle in full with a check. As far as I’m concerned I’ve held up my end of the deal. I gave her the dealership General manager cell phone number and offered to three way call so we can all talk about this together and she said that probably wasn’t the best thing to do Incase one of us got blindsided. We’ll see how this one turns out Tuesday. Everyone at GM takes 48 hrs to do everything.

Just thought of something and did a quick search online for Vitro window for my truck to see if any are available online. This is the exact same window by the number that is in my truck but the window on amazon shows its for a 2014-2018 truck. If this is the same window they put in for the last 6 years then its definitely not the windows or the window manufacturer its got to be an excessive body flex issue. https://www.amazon.com/CMX-Vitro-2014-2018-2015-2018-Sliding-Replacement/dp/B07BHV8TN4

My leaking window is currently a Vitro 43R-004589 I think. That’s from reading it backwards from not the beat pic on my phone.

Just checked back with this thread. I’ve talked to my GM senior customer service rep for hopefully the last time. This lady has promised me that she can rush parts and help with the process but she doesn’t even understand which window is leaking. I spoke to her supervisor for the second time today. They told me my truck is too new for a buyback and that is not an option. They didn’t know when parts would ship. They keep blaming the strike on my truck not getting a window repaired. I asked them how many trucks were coming off the line without headliners and rear windows. They did not know because they are a call center and can’t see anything being made so they say. They’ve also promised me compensation for all of my lost time with the truck and the cost associated with it. So I have missed most of the eastern NC deer hunting season with my 10yr old son this year because of this and the loaners I’ve been given. By now I’ve would normally have 6 deer in the freezer. I have about half of one left that I shot before I bought the truck at the average price of beef around here I’m looking to spend $1,344 on food that I should have shot and put up myself but couldn’t. Can’t tow with the loaner, can’t take parts or do any type of diagnostic work without tools or a way to handle parts at work so I’ve basically spent a lot of time in the office, no telling what that’s cost me. We went skiing this past week at Snowshoe WV and it was awesome but the roads on the mountain were sketchy on the way down after the 4-5” of snow that fell ontop of the freezing rain and sleet that started on Saturday. Think of roads looking like a glazed doughnut. Well yesterday my wife’s Chevy traverse we took to the mountains started shifting real hard and clunky from 2-3 and back 3-2 when downshifting tearing upon That’s Transmision will cost me $3k. Can’t tow the boat and take advantage of speckled trout bite that’s been hot all fall. I asked her how was GM planning on compensating next for all of these losses. Of course she gave the Pelosi answer of “we'll have to Wait for the repair to be completed before we see compensation they can offer”. They have finally come to the Conclusion they can’t help me and that someone higher up will call me within 48hrs. I also called my dealership manager and told him that enough was enough. I was tired of the waiting and stalling. He said they are being held up by GM. He’s going to o personally request a buyback for me. Let’s see how this turns out. He thought he would have some news by this evening.

I’m currently on a ski vacation and am out of cell phone range until Sunday evening. I’m going to call my dealership on Monday and I’m supposed to have a call from GM Monday morning as well. I’ll ask about the shipping hold if I can remember.

North Carolina is 20 days. Not work days, or exceptions for holidays but 20 days in a twelve month period “or” 4 trips to the dealer for anything. The worst part of it is err packing right now for a 5 day ski trip in WV. Supposed to snow tomorrow and Wednesday when well be driving up and Saturday and Sunday for the return trip in my wife’s 2wd traverse. I’d take the dealerships Malibu but my skis and luggage won’t fit in the little thing.

Well today makes day 60 of owning the truck and day 30 of the dealership having possession of it for the repairs.
-
I paid in full. Maybe they can pay me rent on it. I’m going to call the dealership service manager on Monday and see if I can get in contact with the regional manager

Didn’t receive my callback in the 24hrs they had promised so I called and spoke with a lady that sounded like she was from the Pacific Islands area that told me I have a scheduled call back for 2:35 on Monday. At this point I’m of the belief that the customer service people are just there to answer the phone and absorb any questions and not actually answer anything. Two calls ago they offered compensation for missing most of deer season, most of fall fishing, and everything else I can’t do in a loaner vehicle but she never said what the compensation would be and I’d bet she can’t make any deals like that anyhow and if she can I don’t want a $100 GM accessory I want the truck back and to not leak.I’m tired of being lied to. My dealership has told be they have never talked to the lady whom my claim has been given. I ve given them her number and extension and 5hey have tried and they can’t contact her. Has anyone got any contacts for North Carolina regional service or an email for someone higher up at GM that can actually find out what the heck is going on?

we can go that route if I have to. NC is a loser pays state. I did ask her about that and she told me that was a different department and they lawyers would have to talk to them. The senior advisor told me three days ago that she was going to check into my parts and see what the expected delivery time is. Today she told me the same thing and I'm tired of being told she will find something out and call me two days later. Why can't she just find out and pick up the phone and call at that time-(I actually asked her that and she told me she is very busy and there are other people having issues besides me so everything takes 48hrs to do).
-
Does anyone know who will call me now? I just told my senior advisor lady that I was not happy at all with the way they were handling the problems and that they are making trucks every day so there are parts available to GM and I wanted to talk to someone higher than her that could do something. I also told her that NC lemon law is 20 days and they are well beyond that along with 4 times back to the dealership and they hit that this time. I told her that somewhere in North Carolina was a truck like mine that they could swap out and make me whole. So she said her supervisor would call me within 24hrs.

I'm inclined to think its a flexing issue with the body too. We've had a similar issue with a Jet Vac truck of ours with the frame flexing and ripping the radiator apart. We crossed braced the radiator with 1/4" steel and haven't had an issue with that one since. The dealership is swearing they are testing it the day after they fix it but it.

One of my dispatchers husband has an early 2019 that she drove today. I asked her if I could look on the back glass to see if it has leaked. She said sure look all you want it’s been dry so far. One quick glance with my flashlight and the streaks were obvious as was the broken window frame and the stained headliner. I hate it for them I guess I just had to share my misery.

Mine is a Mexican build and I’m in Easten NC.

20 days qualifies here in NC. The dealership has me recorded as taking it in only twice. This is the fourth time. They just don’t close out the service ticket when I went to my office and sprayed the garden hose and took it back the following day. I’ve got every conversation recorded right after it happened in a diary I’ve kept in the truck since I picked it up.
-
Unreal. I hate it for you. I spoke with my senior rep person Jeralyn yesterday and asked about when they start talking about buybacks or trade outs. Maybe they aren’t got it figured out yet.

Ok guys here is another update for you but first a little recap. Bought the truck on Oct. 31, 2019. First time it rained my son asked me why was the back seat wet. After fussing him out about spilling a water or drink in the truck hes not supposed to be drinking in I checked it out and sure enough found the rear seat to be wet and water dripping in from the corner of rear silding glass window. Next day I dropped the truck off at the dealership. two weeks go by and I pick it up. Test it myself and leaks again with water hose spraying on top of cab. Take it back and they try the TSB again. I tested it once again and it leaked and at that point I saw a large stain covering approximately 20% of the headliner. They tried to clean the headliner and removed approximately half of the stain and added two oily palm prints and four finger prints. They agreed to replace the headliner at that point. Dealership called me again this past Thursday Dec 19th to tell me they could take the truck and wanted it that day. I needed to haul coolers and presents 3hrs away to my inlaws for Christmas with the Inlaws on Friday so I asked if I could just drop it off on Monday. I have been stuffing paper towels bunched up behind the seat headrest where the water drips in and putting a tarp over the truck cab when I park in the rain. So to today. I dropped my truck off at the dealership for the 4th time. The rear window and the headliner are both on national backorder and they can't tell me when I can expect anything at this point. They put me in a Malibu for a loaner. Not happy at all about this. I was under the impression that repairs were imminent after being told they had escalated this to GM. The customer service people on the 866 number can't tell me anything except to wait one to two business days for a second tier agent to contact me.

And my truck has come back with filth and dirt inside that I didn’t leave in there each time I’ve taken it.
-
I got a text message from my dealer that GM was looking into my issue with them on Monday. Today I got a phone call to bring it in so they can try to figure out what needs to be done and to pick up a Malibu to drive. I have Christmas with the in-laws this weekend and have to drive 3hrs away and really need the bed of my truck instead of my wife’s traverse so I’m Going to take it in on Monday. Got a 5 day ski trip planned for Snowshoe WV on Jan 1st. I hope it’s fixed by then I’d really like to have r wheel drive and comfort for that drive if needed.
