  1. The railgrab is what I had from a rack I used on our Subaru. So far no complaints, I am currently carrying 20 40lb beach cruiser bikes and everything stays tight. Did you ever get something working?
  2. I usually obey torque values - but in this case I did not. I have done several projects since I installed the rails so I’m not sure if a I am mixing details. I believe I decided not to use the torque wrench because: - I believe blue locktite was on the screws - if not then I put it on. - The screws were long. - I felt the engineer was giving a reference for how snug they should be and to balance the tightening off all for points. (assumption based upon experience - other people’s mileage my vary). What I did and why: So, I just evenly snugged all 4 corners over several steps. Torquing to specific values on a plastic surface always concerns me because plastic is can flex differently at different temperatures so you may screw more or less down the threads to achieve the same torque value based on how much the plastic flexes.
  3. It looks like you torque down on the top allen screws quite a bit. Did snug the side bolts before wrenching down on the top bolts? Here is mine - they are very solid and the plastic caps are not warped.
  4. I’ll take a picture of my install tomorrow. It is dark outside now.
  5. I installed the same ones on my truck a few weeks ago. Send a few pictures so I can get a visual on your issue. My install was pretty straightforward and the result is a very sturdy mount. I have yakima crossbars attached to the rails for my bicycles.
  6. Looks like there is a Bulletin on this issue No. 20-NA-155 dated 9/2020 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10181694-9999.pdf Currently have my truck in again for unrelated issue of a hood latch sensor failure (keeps telling my hood is ajar when it is secure).
  7. nhtsa.gov Ok, I'll make it even easier 2019 Silverado: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Silverado_1500/2019/tsbs/ 2020 Silverado: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Silverado_1500/2020/tsbs/
  8. I had this issue seems to be fixed at the moment (has only been a week) Dealer said they applied TSB# PIT5735a which I believe is this: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10173676-9999.pdf No error codes - I will update later this week So basically the brake module is staying on (after turning vehicle off) and reading the wheel sensor. Dealer said they flashed brake module with new firmware to fix issue. The TSB dated 3/4 mentions that GM will provide an update later to correct issue. From my understanding the dealer just got this new update a few days ago. Time will tell. So if all of the error codes are listed under the brake module then this is your problem. In my case, the bluedriver scanner shows the truck's error codes were from the brake module.

  10. Some good news: My dealership called moments ago and said that Chevy had new module updates (posting yesterday) regarding this issue and that they are going to apply them today and further test drive on Monday to confirm. I will let you know more when I get the truck back and post any relevant info. ****Update Dealer said they applied TSB# PIT5735a which I believe is this: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10173676-9999.pdf No error codes - I will update later this week So basically the brake module is staying on (after turning vehicle off) and reading the wheel sensor. 11. I had the same issue prior to the last update in performed in Feb.
  12. I have my truck (2019, new body style, crew cab, WT, ~5.5k miles) now at a different dealership. I figured since several dealerships in my area seem slow that they would spend more time investigating the problem. My codes are like those previously posted by others, but without the P codes. When I scan the modules (Bluedriver scan tool), codes are either pending or in the history. It may take several tries to clear the codes leading me to think there is a connection issue to one or several modules (or a short). I dropped the vehicle off Tuesday morning and last night was informed they were going to spend Thursday going into more diagnostics, vague so far but the service advisor seems to be willing to help (unlike the previous dealership I went to several times).
  13. My error codes are back again; no CEL though... dammit
  14. I never used the app to remote start either as I do not have a remote start. I posted the recurring codes I was having earlier in this thread and you quoted me and asked what was the document that referenced my issue with these codes. Have you scanned the codes yourself? You will need a code scanner that is capable of reading the modules. I use the BlueDriver scan tool https://www.bluedriver.com/products/bluedriver-scan-tool Additionally, your best start is probably to follow chain of command at your dealership. If you have hit a dead end with the service advisor, talk to the service manger, and then call GM for additional support or try another dealership. One thing I learned is if a module is updated, other modules may need to be updated as well so they can properly communicate with each other; otherwise and error may occur. Also, find out how long your truck sat on the lot. If it sat for a long period of time and the battery was not maintained the main computer may need to be re-flashed and the a complete history wipe of the codes may need to be performed.
  15. This is a recall not a TSB: GM Recall #N192268091 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2020/RCLRPT-20V055-2135.PDF Check your VIN here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
