  1. Oh. I see. I have an easy 3 step process for rust, not too bad anyone can do it. 1. Sell that truck. 2. Move down south. 3. Buy a truck from the south I tried it and it worked great no rust at all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That seems related. You’d have to know what the ECM is seeing to determine why the fans are on high. I take it the pressure switch didn’t fix it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Aw damn yeah did you try and remove the fender liner? I don’t when I do them but some of you kids may want to. You can also take off the manifold heat shield so your hand can get back there easier Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You do NOT ohm the sensor. You check the circuit from the bcm to the sensor using a scan tool, a fused jumper wire and a DMM. W/o a scan tool that can read the parameter, your only shot is to check for the 5v ref circuit from the bcm and to measure resistance across the harness from the BCM to that connector. If these tests pass then you need a sensor. There is no parameter for running your dmm across the sensor.
  5. In this case GM wants you to diagnose it like it is a C0472 or C0473 dtc which implies it is electrical. Either you have an open or a short, or you need to replace the sensor. It’s either wiring or the sensor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How fast? Do you have to drive it or is it immediate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Can you clear the code? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sounds like you need to take it to a dealer, you don’t know why it’s setting and you don’t know what the data list says that would cause it to set the dtc. A tech 2 and or mdi2 with SPS programming would be ur friend right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If it’s a 6 speed I posted a top trick on how to do it using a block of wood and a jack I took pictures and everything just for you kids Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Remove the connector to the steering wheel position sensor. Check for bent/loose terminals. There was a bulletin on that (back in the day) that had you check that, then if none were found to reprogram the EBCM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I guess you could change out the valve body and electrical connectors from the 99 transmission into your new 06 transmission. You can do that in car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Abs issue- prob need a module rebuilt HVAC issue- prob need a resistor Passenger window- definitely need a window regulator Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The cluster voltage varying is normal The voltage drop when ac on max is normal Idk about the ‘start vehicle battery low’ message get a meter and check your battery voltage when that comes on see if it’s correct Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. What brand fuel pump did you install? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Metro Atlanta $500 for a set pads rotors calipers whole deal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Always pushing the brakes ‘on’ just enough I mentioned it a few posts ago Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Sounds like pushrod length issue. Glad we helped, that was a tough one. Hardest issues I’ve ever had is when you fix the issue but then cause another with the same symptoms. I hate cars.
  18. You have to swap it over when you change the cylinder. Unfortunately with the way this whole deal shook out, unclear if he A. Needs ABS module B. Left contaminated oil in system when changing parts (unknowingly) and a new part is bad C. Did something incorrectly, or some combo of the three. When you’ve replaced the entire brake system other then the abs and it’s doing the same thing ur options are limited. And yes abs modules can do this.
  19. Contaminated hydroboost systems aren’t common but they do happen. I’ve also heard abs modules staying ‘on’ and holding brakes. Also, Double check pushrod length/adjustment, make sure there’s free play in the pedal, if the rod is too long, or adjusted too far in, it’ll hold the pistons inside the master beyond the compensator ports and never let pressure bleed off after applying brakes
  20. ^ what he said Replace the master again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. You had contaminated fluid prob from hydro boost going bad leaked into the master. Anyways when oil gets into the brake fluid it causes this issue. So when you started replacing parts you didn’t replace them all at the same time so the master cylinder got contaminated again. Replace master cylinder again, but be SURE you’ve flushed out everything before putting another one in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. What locks up? The front, back, one caliper in particular, all 4? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. They added the RPO accessory to your vin correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It’s because your VIN doesn’t have that added to it. GM techline is who you need to contact Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Service information. What are you trying to do? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
