  1. Moisture. Here in the south we the shaky shaky a lot, lots of humidity. Interesting take you have on the 8 speeds, sounds like you’re replacing converters and units, you work at Indy shop or dealer? You must see higher mileage ones then I do
  2. Yeah that’s not how new trucks work Bad batteries are no longer pass/fail It’s really annoying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Broken wire in the center console lid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Needs to be replaced Nothing to do with truck infotainment That’s a kicker module not a GM one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Remove the rear seat Then blow it apart on the bench Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Where you live....lots of humidity? Also torque converters are def cheaper then entire transmissions 6 speeds put you on the side of the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The factory GM ‘cold air’ kits are sealed and use the stock intake setup. They do delete the noise filters and they give you a neat clear plastic cover so you can view your wicked sweet air intake. The unfortunate thing about the aftermarket ones especially cheap ones are they aren’t sealed and they used medal tubing which runs hotter then the stock plastic. I personally hate that garbage because customers completely forget they have them then never clean them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It would take less time to figure out how to drop the 01 body onto the 12 frame then to go through swapping powertrains 2001 frames aren’t meant to handle that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Fluid changes fix 90% of concerns Torque converters are cheaper then entire transmissions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. NOOOOOOO they arent 100k replacement interval Just did one last week They made it to 115k 8 speeds shift quality is questionable but at least they don’t require rebuilding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Needs battery cables Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yes Most likely the switch in dash like newdude said Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Go to the menu press and hold the check mark then the car goes beep beep and you can engine relearn with your tire tool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. At work we service limo fleet Yukon’s sometimes. 200k+ on them They run and drive similar to ones with 50k on them these trucks age well with mileage. Biggest repairs are junk 6 speed transmissions (no servicing) and fuel injectors. Plus they ‘try’ and fix things themselves and it turns into bigger expenses for them. The fords are interesting. The 5.4’s have catastrophic engine failures a lot, timing issues broken spark plugs broken manifolds crankshafts that walk and tear up engines etc. The 3.5’s have awful turbo issues and broken crankshaft issues (lol) and are miserable to service and such. I’ve seen high mileage 5.0 fords that were great no real oil leaks or ticks or anything. They’re just huge. The Chevy V8’s are so much better to work on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Needs battery cables Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. When you replaced the water pump with an OEM one did you get the updated thermostat housing part number? They’re different sizes so if you install a old model thermostat housing with a updated water pump you may have issues. Just a thought Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Passenger blend door actuator Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Ugh Florida cars can be just as bad as Michigan cars... I worked at a Nissan store where the guy parked his Sentra with the driver side facing the ocean for about a year and a half. 2,000 mile car and we had to replace both front and rear brakes because the driver side pads and rotors were frozen solid with rust! Wheels pitting all the exposed medal rusty. If you went to the passenger side, looked like a new car! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That is not a GM approved diagnostic method. Probably just fine, however it does not tell you to do this in the service manual. Interesting [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. LOL it’s taken me years in a shop to perfect my smartassy-ness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
