  1. Have them check the cap for the overflow and the radiator for an oil cooler leak. Similar scenario happened to my 6.2 but i caught it before an overheated situation burned up my engine. Edit: if your oil level was infact full, the radiator check may not be necessary.
  2. Aftermarket 9.5" wide wheels so the sidewall doesn't bubble out as much as it would with stock wheels. I've run this size before on stock 22x9 wheels and it wasnt bad at all. But this was also on a different gen truck as well
  3. I run these in the 305/45/22 size. I can say they definitely do not like cold weather and vibrate some until they warm up. Before these i ran the general grabber summer sport tires and they did the same during cold weather. Swapped to the toyos since they are advertised as all season thinking they wouldn't vibrate in cold weather. It takes a few miles before they calm down, my morning commute its about 20 miles with about 95% highway driving.
  4. Might be a bit late but Brian Tooley Racing has phaser limiters/lockouts specifically for the 19+ cam phasers. Not sure what the difference is but i'd assume they are slightly different in size if the standard one for the 14-18 didnt fit. Did you reach out to Texas speed to see what they say about it?
  5. For what its worth, i used the 2 degree shims when at the smae time i installed drop shackles at max 2" drop on my 2020 elevation 2wd with the 3.0 Duramax cc shortbed and had no vibration. I removed them when i traded it in for my 2021 rst 6.2 4wd and put the exact same ones on the new truck at the 1.5" drop setting without the 2* shims and have had no vibration in 46k+ miles that ive put on this truck.
  6. By your list, You should be logging ambient air temp as well to see how well this "works" if you werent already planning on it. Fyi, my stock piece lets intake temps get to 1-2 degrees above ambient temps while driving down the road and even matches ambient at times as well. Im down in South Texas. Stock airbox with a smooth aluminum intake tube to the throttle body. I only have one of the shutter blades removed on the upper drivers side. The last time i actually looked at this was during the August months as well so hot outside. Judging by that, id say the stock piece works well. I use HPTuners to log. I was seriously contemplating getting the stillen piece until the data showed it wasnt needed in my case. I could only see this helping when stationary by helping shield the intake path from the rising heat/air coming off the radiator. 2021 RST 6.2/10L80/4x4
  7. Im almost at 38k miles and mine is going in tomorrow for fluid exchange and filter change. Im hard on mine and after my cam swap, the tuner recommended this be done at 40k miles from what they've seen. They dont do the fluid exchange at their shop so I didnt see it as a sales pitch and more of a heads up to get it done so i will.
  8. My 2021 did the same, they replaced the entire sunroof assembly and it was good after for about 5mths. One heavy rain and leaked again but hasnt leaked since that one time. Check the drains but they are still kind of hard to see if you do what above post said. and also check the fin antenna next to the sun roof, i found mine to be a little loose and i think that may be where the leak came from. If the sunroof leaks during heavy rain, sit inside and get it on video. Thats what i did to prove it was initially leaking
  9. You can program them on your own, it just takes about 20-30 minutes if i remember right. I lost one and got a new GM replacement from Amazon and did it myself. There are videos on YouTube and instructions online that show how to do it. The dealer has to recut the physical key inside the fob and that was like $20.

  11. I did both front and rear hellwigs on my 2021 RST 6.2. It handles turns/corners much better. Was it worth the cost? depends on you goals. For me it was. After i added the hellwigs, i got the beltech drop coilovers up front along with a regular set of Bilstein yellow monotubes in the back, its way better than stock handling ever was. Much sportier and controlled in all driving aspects. If worried about costs, try the rear bar 1st. It made more of a difference on previous trucks ive added them to. This time i did both at the same time so i cant compare just the rear with stock front bar.
  12. On the 2020 elevation i had, i used a 2* shim at the initial install and had no vibration at any speed. It was 2WD and the 3.0 Duramax. I traded it in for a 21 RST 6.2 4WD and used the same beltech shakles on it with no shims and no vibration at any speed.
  13. Check and see if you have any vacuum leaks on the intake and if you havent, add some clamps for the valve cover connetion to the intake tube. Its minor but worth a check and its easy to do. I had a small vacuum leak on mine unrelated to the intake. I noticed power and economy were up after i put the stock intake back on and fixed the vacuum leak for a dealer visit. I still haven't put the volant back on but if/when i do ill be putting hose clamps on that hose from the valve cover to the intake tube. And when i say power and economy were up after, i didnt even notice power was down until after this was fixed. I chalked the lost economy to more time i was flooring it to hear the intake . I had no check engine lights and anything obviously wrong

  15. $699 for the unlocked ecm and 8 credits to get tuned directly from HPtuners. At least that's how I read it, but it does seem a little confusing if the 8 credits are actually included or not in that price. I have not reached out to them yet to confirm. You will either have to tune yourself if you know how, or take it to someone at that point. Much better price point then what it used to be

  17. There are still no real tuning solutions for these engines and since this is the case, no way to do a def delete yet. You've got a long way to go before your warranty is up!

Question for those that have gone the HPTuners route for tuning, when you put the modified ECM back into the truck, did y'all have to go to a dealer for the Vehicle anti theft system relean or is there a way to do this without a dealer trip? Maybe a tool/scanner that can talk to the vats module? Thanks in advance.

  21. What's the width of the stock 275/50/22 tires? Like 11", 11.5" maybe? Then compare it to 12" wide 305s, take half the difference between the two ( that added to each side of the stock tire) and see if you have that much room available on the inside if you were to go with the wider tire. Basically turn your current wheels lock to lock and see if how much clearance you have on the inside near the upper control arms. This will give you a better idea if you have enough room. I can tell you with my setup I have no rubbing at all, but again I'm on 9.5" wide wheels with a +26 offset. One thing to keep in mind, not all 305/45/22 are the same( some are wider than others, some run narrower than others), So be sure to check the specs on what ever tire you decide to run if you do change sizes.
  22. 305/45/22 will fit on 22x9" wheels, Ive been there, done that. Now if they will fit and not rub on the upper control arms on stock wheels on T1 trucks, I cannot say if it will work of not. I currently run that size tire on my 22x9.5" aftermarket wheels with a +26 offset
