The cable can be removed from the camera which will make for a smaller end to deal with. there is a thread that discusses its removal. It may be this one:

I'm another happy White Automotive and Media customer. Their Wireless CarPlay upgrade works flawlessly for me. the price was a bit hard to swallow but once I got over that, I was good to go.

My Sierra also came from Texas and when we moved to Oklahoma, I removed my front license plate bracket. Mine was so poorly installed, had four rivets and was even mounted off-center by several inches that I decided to replace the valence panel (part that surrounds the tow hooks). This was not a simple task but in the end, it turned out like new. This is a picture of the old valance after the bracket was removed.
