Will do. Is a premature failure of the idler pulley a known defect in the 5.3L engine? I’ve had a 2001 Chevy Tahoe (5.3L) with 250k plus miles and it never had an issue with the engine or pulleys and is still on the same a/c unit. All I replaced was the water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt and belt tensioner. That’s it.
Interesting. Under warranty, my a/c unit failed a couple of years ago and was replaced. I don’t recall hearing this noise before the first a/c unit failed.
I think I have the same noise too? Take a listen. Turn up volume. I have a 2015 Sierra Denali approaching 56k miles. Performance is normal.
