  1. Yes I looked at both of those and thus my reply above......and also talked to boostautoparts on the phone, they don't have anything to do what I desire and they stated as such...... Simply put, all I want is the fogs turned on during the day without dimming the DRL, neither of those options do that.
  2. Sorry to say neither of the above will work for me.....darn I was hoping! Gen5 DIY doesn't have anything for 2023 refresh models. Boostautoparts has a harness but it requires the parking brake lights to be turned on to activate the fogs automatically.......on the refreshed Silverado when you activate the parking lights, it turns off the DRLs which defeats the point of what I'm trying to do. I even called them and they said they have not looked into activating the fogs off the DRLs and the existing harness would not do what I was wanting. Appreciate the try guys,....
  3. 2023 Silverado High Country here...... Anyone know if there is a way you can rewire the Fog lights to run all the time along with the DRL? Presently if you turn on the fog lights the DRL dim down........I want them to stay on full brightness but also turn on the fog lights. Why? For added visibility.....I rarely if ever drive at night, but want as much daytime front light visibility as I can get. Can't see using the fog lights for anything else otherwise. Thanks....
  4. Thanks for the post......good information, I was looking at those but didn't care to rip my '23 dash apart just to install it. They have ones that go in the diagnostic port, but don't make it for the newer models. Damn Engine start/stop garbage......
  5. OK, you can all laugh now.......I went back and had the windshield done also. 70% which is only slightly darker than OEM but went with ceramic which will block all the heat. The job they do is amazing, looks so good. Love it.......
  6. Well water? A lot of iron in most well water.....would be my guess. Rust can't form on the Bedliner material, it's not metallic.
  7. My 2020 RST had camera issues with 33K miles and 2-years old..... Technician found the issue(s), bad harness from the front to the rear with corroded terminals on it. He stated there is supposed to be dummy pins on all unused slots and my harness didn't have this which allowed moisture to enter the connector and corrode it. Replaced the harness and issue gone......just traded this truck 2-months ago for a '23 High Country.
  8. 2023 Silverado 1500 High Country here....... Not one single issue and super happy with it. Sorry for the OP if he hates his new truck, sell it and move on......life is too short to be frustrated and irritated as much as he obviously is.
  9. Who really cares? if I wanted a vehicle for speed, I sure wouldn’t be looking in the truck market. That’s not why 99% of the people purchase trucks. if it was so popular they would have continued to make it and make a big profit. Obviously it isn’t because nobody really wanted them, is a niche vehicle that didn’t sell well. Your point on the subject at hand? Manufactures aren’t stupid they make with sells….. thus why standard cabs haven’t been available in abundance for a long time.
  10. 50-years ago? Yea, I guess things do eventually change. No family vehicle here.....just a nice ton of interior protected areas to haul stuff, which is what a truck is all about since it's inception. There's a reason they don't build them......'cause they don't sell, period. The Little Red Express truck was very short lived and faded faster than it appeared, that appealed to a very few real truck owners. They built less than 8,000 total production......that's about 1-weeks production of todays Silverados.
  11. Hummm never seen it and never knew it was possible. Guess a better question is why would anyone want that on a loaded High Country? Can't imagine my 2023 High Country only being a single cab......yuck.
  12. Hummm, I would think the Denali seat would be on par with the 1500 High Country? I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 High Country and couldn't be happier with the front seating for comfort, especially the ventilated leather, so nice and cool. I've been driving for hours at a stretch with zero discomfort.
  13. You're convincing me to spend more money...... $$.
  14. Deleted - Duplicate post....
  15. I don't drive much at night, but was out the other evening, it is a tad darker but I noticed it also cut down on headlight glare which was very nice. No issue IMHO......
  16. The installer mentioned the windshield, I declined for now...... But, he did say they can install windshield ceramic tinting and it won't appear any darker at all but will block UV and heat. Might get it done in the future..... Just wondering how it might affect the HUD display on my High Country??
  17. Worked great for me.....thanks. c10cowboy, I tried your VIN in the link you showed, and I get a blank page.......either your VIN is invalid or not listed for some reason.
  18. 2023 Silverado High Country here..... I've pulled 3 different trailers (2 with LEDs) so far and no issues, actually works very well. I also have an LED dummy plug for testing and that works fine, truck thinks it's a trailer. My only complaint is I wish they would have kept a 4-pin connector along with the 7-pin......to many trailers still use the 4-pin and then I have to use an adapter.
  19. Following up to my original post, had the window tint installed today @ Black Diamond here in Minnesota. I went with the IRX ceramic tint on front side windows, rear side windows, and rear window with slider. Front Sides: 25% Rear Sides: 40% Rear windows and slider: 5% This is over the top of the factory tint of 70/20. I love the look and should be great with reducing interior heat and sun damage. The tinting flows nicely from front to back, rather than stock that just looks weird IMHO.
  20. Mine started doing this when I turned on rain sensing wipers.......like the feature but don't like a dry sweep of the wiper blade on the windshield.
  21. When I haul gravel, dirt or similar I go rent a tilt-bed utility trailer and pull it behind my Silverado...... Just too much possible damage to an expensive truck.....trailer rental price is cheap in comparison.
  22. I just purchased a 2023 Silverado High Country 1500...... Deal was great and trade-in was even better, got $38K for my 2020 RST. I got rust proofing and PPF installed as part of the deal. But, I passed on the EW as it was just to much money......basic package started at $2500 and went on up from there. I can get it later, but will probably take my chances with the factory warranty and go from there. Can't see paying that much money for warranty....
