Has anyone with the basic side mirrors changed them out to the ones with the turn signal and puddle lights and if so, did you have to make any modification or was it just a plug and play?
Same issue on my 2023 LT. I've taken it to one dealership who "couldn't replicate the problem." Now, I'm taking it to another one for a second opinion. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it flashes normal and then does the fast flash like the old school trucks used to do when a bulb went out.
For those needing the harness on a refresh truck, reach out to Gen5DIY. They have one that plugs into the sensor behind the rear view mirror which then plugs in to the auto dim mirror. A lot safer and cleaner then trying to splice a wire yourself. The harness is $85 and totally worth it.
Yeah, it's a known issue, my 2023 silverado does it. Look up PIT6032B. Sounds like it'll have to be fixed with an OTA update. Just a matter of the engineers at GM to figure it out and send an OTA out to fix it.
Anyone else with a refreshed silverado have an issue where the led running lights/turn signal will intermittently not cut on at random when starting the truck? Sometimes it's the drivers side, sometimes passenger. Took it to the dealership and of course since they were working that day, I got the usual "they're working fine so there's nothing we can do."
I wouldn't worry about the leds going bad. Not sure what the hour ratings are for these but most leds are 100,000 plus hours of run time. Even if you ran your headlights six hours a day everyday, you wouldn't have to replace them for almost 50 years.
Same issue with my 2023 LT. Took it to the dealership and of course I got the usual "it functioned like it's supposed to and it's not throwing a code so there's nothing we can do." I've found switching it back to manual and then back to auto starts it back like it's supposed to.
Yesterday, I passed a car hauler carrying two high country silverados in single cabs. When I went to chevrolet.com to try and configure that option, the only thing you get with single cab is the work truck. Anyone know how this was able to be pulled off?
Order a set of "spring things" they're a rubber piece that you stick between the top and middle leaf spring. It will eliminate the clunking noise you hear. I had to put them on my 2023 silverado. I couldn't stand a brand new truck making a noise like that.
