  1. 2023 Silverado High Country 1500... Installed the Putco 60" Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar which looks awesome and is super bright........got it with the Plug-n-Play harness. Only thing I don't like is the Putco lights are only on for brake or turn signals during the day, unless you manually turn on the parking lights which in turn dims the DRL, which I don't want to happen........it's all about visibility. My question is..... Is there an accessible switched 12v source near the rear of the Silverado? I can simply cut the "parking light" wire on the Putco 4-pin connector (between P-N-P harness and LED light) and wire in a switched 12v so the Putco running lights are on whenever the vehicle is running. I see +12v for the 7-pin trailer connector which is HOT all the time, which won't work.....I need a switched power. Thanks for any suggestions.....
  2. Yes, all except the new JBL powered sub......that is ran direct from the OEM amp sub output. You need to leave the OEM amp in place......it's a digital signal to the this amp.
  3. Below is what I have done with my Silverado and I now have a sound system I truly enjoy listening to and it sounds awesome. 2023 Silverado High Country Bose factory system Dash Speakers: Pioneer TS-A709 Front Door Speakers: JBL Club 64CSQ (Did not use tweeters) Metra 82-3005 Speaker Mounting Brackets (free from Crutchfield) Rear Door Speakers: JBL Club 64SQ Scosche SAGMHR-634 Speaker Mounting Brackets (free from Crutchfield) Amplifier: JBL DSP4086 (8-channel DSP configurable amplifier) 40 watts RMS x 8 at 4 ohms 60 watts RMS x 8 at 2 ohms Sub-Woofer: JBL BassPro Nano (6" x 8" Powered Sub-woofer) 100 watts RMS Harness (For tapping into Bose factory amplifier without cutting wires): AIS - Audio Integration Solutions ([email protected]) Bose factory amplifier loads: AudioControl AC-LGD 60 Power Harness: Crutchfield CK8 (8-Ga power wiring kit with inline fusing) I installed the JBL amplifier in the Middle compartment of the GM rear under seat storage (GM option that was on my Silverado)......I could not find a good spot on the back wall of the cab without requiring some sort of fabricated bracket and I was also concerned about the excessive heat back there. The rear seat -back has a ton of foam and will trap a lot of heat. I installed the JBL Nano sub under the drivers seat......it does not fit all the way due to ductwork and seat harnesses, but it fits deep enough to not cause issues with passengers feet. Fine tuning the JBL amp was cool and fun doing it through an application on a laptop.......I dialed it in to my taste and it sounds fantastic. The JBL sub adds a great bass punch to the music......it won't rattle the rust off a vehicle but that's not what I was looking for........it's perfect amount of tight bass IMHO. A remote bass adjustment lets you dial in the amount of bass boost. The OEM sub was left attached and operational.......this was recommended by many (AIS also) to not cause issues with the Bose factory amplifier having issues if it's disconnected. Super happy with the results......sounds sweet. Pics below.....It starts out neat and by the timeI was done it's not as organized as I'd like, but it works well and is covered with the cargo cover, so it works for me.
  4. Things could get interesting real fast..... The driver works for DHL.
  5. Did it all myself.....I need to post a separate thread with some pictures when I get a chance.
  6. JBL 64-series speakers in the front and rear doors Pioneer TS-A709 speakers in the dash JBL DSP4086 DSP Amplifier JBL BassPro Nano powered subwoofer The amp is running all speakers except the sub, that's a powered sub so I ran it directly from the OEM amplifier to the sub. So nice to be able to tune the JBL amplifier with a PC picking the frequencies for each speaker and dialing it in. Sounds fantastic........
  7. Would be nice.......on my 2023 High Country ACP won't go full screen. But, I do like the split screen feature........I have the music player on the right with an expanded screen map application like Waze on the left. Works well.....
  8. Looks Ass-Backwards to me.....
  9. $1900? Holy crap...... So when it rains does that void your warranty? Not sure where you live but it doesn't rain DI water here in Minnesota. .......and who has a supply of DI water to wash/rinse a big truck? Sorry, but that is crazy ridiculous......car washes are pretty much mandatory in Minnesota winters.
  10. Since my post above I've replaced all stock speakers and added an JBL amplifier and powered sub-woofer. Using a custom harness from AIS the installation went well and did not have to touch any stock wiring. I haven't even tuned the JLB amplifier yet and it already sounds insanely good compared to stock. Very happy with outcome........this is the way it should sound from GM IMHO.
  11. Working on adding an JBL amplifier and powered sub woofer. Ordered harnesses to plug into the Bose amp from AIS.
  12. Awesome job! I wasn't sure of #2 and #7........the rest I was pretty sure of and you confirmed. Mounting of #7 looks like a little kid did it.
  13. 2023 Silverado High Country rear panel behind seats........ Name that component, I know some of them but not all (some are very obvious) so someone else will need to verify who is correct! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  14. Nice shift pattern.......must make for a very smooth acceleration.
  15. My brother was in for an oil change on his 2023 Denali 3500....... They said there was an open recall and were going to disable the release switches on his tailgate.......my brother told them to pound-sand. How stupid is that to disable the switches so you need to go into the cab or use a stupid remote. Geez, GM wake up and fix the damn problem, not disable switches on a $75K truck! I've heard nothing on my 2023 Silverado High Country 1500 about a tailgate recall as of yet......
  16. I know this is an older thread but was hoping to get further information for adding an amp to my 2023 Silverado High Country Bose system....... "T-harness for the Bose amp" What is this and how do I obtain this harness?........sounds like it makes tapping into the speaker outputs from the stock amp into a new amp and back out to the speakers, a breeze. Was looking at adding the JBL DSP4086 amp from Crutchfield. Appreciate further information.......thanks!
  17. Ginger and Mary Ann were real.........only reason I watched the show back then, don't ruin that memory!
  18. ......or it's a piss poor design and/or implementation. Try mentioning it to the dealer and they say it works just fine. During a test drive of a different 2023 High Country than I purchased, with the sales guy in the vehicle, it did the same thing. Excuses from the salesman abound. Turn it off and problem fixed.....not worth the hassle or safety issues it presents.
  19. It’s happening on both sides of the vehicle explain that??? not sure how that could be an alignment issue….
  20. My 2023 Silverado High Country ACC is flakey also....... It will sense a car in the next lane over and slam on the brakes when I start to approach it.....had it do the same with a car entering the freeway on the acceleration lane and putting myself and vehicle behind me in a panic situation that was completely unnecessary. It's a hazard in itself IMHO........talk about getting rear ended when the brakes are slammed on for no reason. Turn it off.......drive alert and use your own senses, not some computer and camera.
  21. Got the Corsa Cat-Back sport setup installed this morning....... OMG it is so nice.....love the look and sound! I had it installed as my knees are not up to the task myself.......the shop I had it done at did a fantastic job. Verified everything before install and then called me into the shop before the first cold-start. I was like, OMG that is way too loud my wife is going to kill me! But, once it simmers down after about 20-seconds it sounds so sweet.....love it at idle and acceleration. Not intrusive inside the cab either. Tame at cruising speeds..... Thanks for the recommendations.......very happy with the Corsa.
  22. Hummm, nothing but compliments on my Red calipers.......Damn Minnesota people are pretty fickle. Oh wait.........wrong vehicle!
  23. I've always thought texting was stupid and a huge step backwards.......but I was never a trend-setter. In a world of instant communication between people, it's amazing how most people still don't really know how to communicate with each other.
  24. Must admit it was above my intellectual level, no matter how I looked at it I didn't get the joke.......thanks for explaining the sick humor.
  25. I look in the mirror every morning and say the same thing......
