  1. That is was GM hopes for ( to wear you down) Yes, they replaced the driveline. But when you replace Sh@# with Sh%^ you still have Sh#%!!!
  2. Thanks Kyle
  3. It's a shame!
  4. The posted speed limit in ohio was 65 at the time! NO it doesn't state in the warranty that you have to obey the speed limit, that is what I was told at my dealer...Hence the point I was trying to make is that they will try anything from flat spots on tires from sitting on the lot to "excessive speed" to get out from having to try to solve the problem!
  5. GM would never BS anyone! Is it possible you purchased a buyback? They will also tell you since you are driving like a maniac (72+ mph) that you are over posted speed limits and that could void any warranty...Go buy Michelins then go from there
  6. I will say this...I really think GM has screwed the pooch this time around. I know all the brands have problems(foreign and domestic) And most TRY to make it right, But on this one GM has went out of there way to avoid this problem....lying to dealers and customers, and by forcing dealers to do the same! It seems they really stuck it to there Loyal customers this time. And I strongly believe that they wont be able to wait on the next generation to bail them out
  7. Might as well move on....GM sure has!
  8. Thanks for info!!
  9. Hang in there, GM has 4 yrs experience of giving the runaround on vibration! If you are lucky like some you will find out quite a few visits were never documented
  10. Most of the quotes were made by GM design team members, Sounds like they are throwing the 14/18 platform under the bus
  11. Has anyone read the article in the Jan/Feb Truck Trend Magazine about the 2019 Silverado/Sierra? Most of the issues that GM has claimed was "operating as designed" since 2014 has been addressed in the 2019 models....Imagine that!!! Even states that this design wont feel like you are driving a "wet noodle" down the road like the previous years!
  12. The best one is where the guy talks about people being to "proud" to admit they made a mistake. Talked to a few service advisors they would say people would come in complaining about rattles in dash or air noises.... take them down the road and they would be shaking and vibrating and nothing was mentioned.
  13. If you are fairly new to this debate, please refer to page 802 there are a few members that hit the nail on the head in a few posts
  14. GM gave me a dealer credit for 1000.00 My came with general grabbers and went to Michelins. That was at 19,000 miles, I have 66,000 now ...tires look good but still has shake. I do believe that a lot of the problems come from the "Factory Trained Technicians" That have no clue how to use the road force machine properly.... Even though they will tell you " I HAVE BEEN BALANCING TIRES FOR 20 SOME YEARS!!!! "
  15. Factory trained techs....cant ck a driveshaft or use a tire balance machine correctly(go figure) where did you get your driveshaft from?
  16. You must be new to the internet. I chalk it up to insecurities. Some people make the brands they buy as a part of their core identity, so an attack on that brand is an attack on them personally. Some of it is sunken cost fallacy too. People spend a lot of money on these trucks, so it takes a lot of humility to acknowledge you may have made a mistake on how you spent that money. Its almost like admitting you got conned. Not an easy thing to do publicly. After 802 pages on this subject, this could possibly be the best statement made!!!
  17. I haven't posted on this for a while..My 14 sierra reg cab 4.3 2wd 61,000 miles 17" wheels. Still has the shakes, GM did give me a credit (1000.00) to purchase Michelins thru a dealer. what got me back on this is yesterday I worked on a friends truck..1994 chevy work truck 327,000 miles with original ball joints and my truck wasn't that nice riding when it had 17 miles on it, according to my dealer its the flatspots from sitting on the lot...(sat for about 2 weeks before I bought it). And my 02 Silverado that had 174,000 when I traded it in was like driving a Cadillac compared to this one. Oh well thanks for listening to me vent..Its been awhile!
  18. I was told by my "service manager" and 2 others from GM assistance not to believe what I read online,I replied to all of them by stating..You should be glad there wasn't a internet between 1980 and 1986 because with the crap that GM built back then there wouldn't be a GM today. I know because I was able to make a pretty nice living off of repairing them!
  19. Of course they haven't...most of them aren't aware of any vibration either
  20. Could you or someone else please explain this to me, How can GM tell someone with a 2015 truck with 1000 miles on it to go buy new tires and that will fix it?? I still say the tires are 50 to 60 percent of the problems with these trucks...I know there is AFM problems, drivetrain issues, and also some dealerships that have no "TECHNICIANS" that can properly use balancing machine. I cant believe with all of the buybacks, lemon law cases, and the amount of trucks that the dealers have sitting on the lots, plus the loss of loyal GM customers they are still not at the least...offering assistance with tires
  21. This is the point I was trying to make 19 posts ago...You are not cheap,You shouldn't have to spend money on new tires for new trucks. Or you shouldn't have to spend big money to make the headlights better . I believe GM outkicked their coverage on the design..I just read an interview from Anita Burke chief engineer of GM midsize trucks says " customers want refinement, good handling and a comfortable, noise-and-vibration free ride" Not happening with junk oem tires
  22. Why should he have to buy new tires for any of 3 new trucks?
  23. sorry wrong topic
  24. That is what they hope for!!!!!!!!!
