    Last friday i removed my blockoff plate from the Y pipe so i could put my cutout back on. Gasket fell apart in my hand. So since thne i have been driving around no muffler , hahaha (HELLO DRONE!) Finally got the gasket in mail today since NO ONE stocks 3.5" header flang gaskets , and re installed today. Sounds and feels good to have it back down to a controllable level!

    Changed my antenna to a bullet. Direct from china for $7. So far so good with reception but i mostly listen to harddrive or XM.     I took mine and heated them up before bending them, and put them through my tiedoen cutouts. Actually had to drill a hole through the plastic plug. The 90 elbow is a good idea tho.

    sounds good. I finally have my exhaust complete. I had my buddy who is an awesome welder, cut out the stock muffler, and put in a magnaflow 22" in. before the muffler tho i had him put in a Y pipe and i have an electric cutout in there. I still have to route a pipe from the cutout instead of dumping under truck into the frame, but it sounds phenominal now. I also had him remove the resonator and that helped bring on some deep sounds. The 3 cats really quiet this truck down tho. I still have to get a video. And some pics.

    I'm averaging a steady 12.9 13.2 in city.. I got maybe at best 13.5 or so in my 06 silvy w/ 5.3, I'm glad i made the switch. Helps that I live fairly close to work to..

    I just bought a magnaflow 12909 for mine. Only drawback it is offset and center.. So a modification might have to be made. still researching now.

    You probably have to get it reprogrammed at dealer with the tech 2. If the vin dosent match, it wont work.

    Looks awesome. You beat me to it tho. I have the primer / white paint / top coat sitting in my garage right now and was preparing to do it soon, haha. Looks great tho. Just confirms I am doing it right..I wont copt you completely tho with the flames and 6.2 like that tho.. i have another idea ;)

    daryl , I am debating just removing the bowtie, or painting just the gold bowtie white and leaving the chrome surround.. Does the gold separate from the chrome? wondering if i can stick a thin screwdriver in between chrome and gold insert and pop out the gold. Not sure tho.     Drove to work, drove home.. Then drove for 1/2 hour to the gun club for sporter rifle thru some hills.. Love it. Every Wed. for the next 7 weeks.

    Anyone know what involved in removing the tail pipe resonator on the 6.2L? I want a little more sound and bet it would be a good temp fix until i do full exhaust. Is the resonator clamped on? havent had a chance to look under it yet and inspect. thanx
