  1. This literally gives me an error message now and then with a black screen. "foggy" would be OK
  2. Yeah, it seems that in many ways, my refresh is a downgrade. My interior door handles no longer have lights, fogs are junk, shifter configuration is janky (who thought pushing forward would be reverse instead of park?), backup camera intermittently doesn't work, truck turns on parking brake when on the slightest incline...... Might end up going back to a 2020. The only nicer thing on this is the larger screen
  3. Don't see anything for the 23
  4. There's a guy on the Tube that removed it and didn't notice any difference. Can't seem to find the video now but it's something to do with the lens.
  5. Anyone making something as a replacement for the JUNK that is on the new models? My 2020 fog lights actually lit up the ground and my 23 does nearly nothing. I'd be better off with a 3 D cell Mag Light taped under the truck.
  6. The whole refresh is a bad design in my opinion. Wish I would have stuck with my 2020. Piano black=sucks Shifter is unintuitive (full forward should be PARK, not reverse) This G damned parking brake automatically turning on. Save a parking pawl, ride an e-brake? Loss of space due to floor shifter Front end's Chevy logo is up too high Front end missing the turn signal lamps, independent of the DRLs isn't as nice looking But hey.... we have a pretty screen
  7. I agreed until this line. This has been a "thing" for many years on these trucks. My early 2020 had it and my 23 has it. I believe it goes back even further. I drove a Ford the other day and honestly, the technology is like comparing a flip phone to a modern day smart phone. It's much more refined. From the trailering functions to the lane keep assist. It all just blends into the background. Once I have built a little equity in this truck, there's a very real possibility I'll be making the move
  8. Let me guess.... The trailer is 100% LEDs. First of all, not sure how in the world this would affect surge brakes which are mechanical Secondly, the LEDs are likely not drawing enough power to trip the system which uses resistance to detect the trailer. Add a resistor or incandescent bulb inline and test.
  9. Hey guys, This one might be a bit hard to explain. 2023 6.2 w/10 speed. At low speeds, if I let off the throttle, the truck lurches. That is, it feels like I'm not only letting off the pedal but hitting the brakes at the same time. I don't feel it EVERY time but quite often. Anyone else have a similar issue?
  10. No kidding On a tangent... how many have thrown it into "park" only to realize you're in REVERSE? Full forward has been Park for all automatic transmissions forever. Why the HELL would they make it a button here? Damned near hit a car today after backing into a spot. In my head, it was in park until I started going backwards
  11. Awesome.... so the wiring for the signals is already there, just not being used?
  12. For reference, Google "Project Farm Air Filter" and you'll see his testing with filters. Then, look at this at 20:30. K&N can kinda do it but S&B's knock off will not do the same things I still think that the guy in the video is wrong and his data is outdated, but even someone trying to push oil filters is "meh" with the knock offs.
  13. I won't go oiled as they simply do not filter as well (and by a substantial amount) Ended up buying one of their dry filters to replace it. On a quick attempt to get the old one out, seems like it's going to be a bear. Almost feels like it's got adhesive on the thing
  14. I think it's just as stupid as lifting a truck and putting low profile tires on it. And Naughty... he asked for an opinion... so he's getting em?
  15. Have their paper filter as I have had some bad luck in the past with wet filters. They want 70 bucks for it!? Same price as the oiled filter. Anyone successfully swap it out with something else? Seems absurd and I'm certain they don't MFG them themselves
  16. Might be looking at a Ford for my next truck. My wife's Escape doesn't have "Blue Cruise"/just lane keep and it'll basically drive itself. Would be great for long trips
  17. Are you running a Viofo A129 camera by chance? Unplug the rear camera and watch the issue go away. If my wild guess is correct, the A139/A139 Pro won't have this issue
  18. I had the same thing happen and new remote was the ONLY thing that fixed it
  19. I had the same issue with my 2020. It would get worse after a rain. It did start after I installed a brake light bar. I removed it, hoping that would fix it but alas, it continued to be an issue. Tech at dealer asked if I had ever removed my tailgate (I had... to install the light). Seems like that was the issue. It wasn't clicked in tight and water got in.
  20. I had added a brake light bar to my 2020 and had constant headaches with it and eventually pulled it off It's now 2023 and I want to put LEDs on my camper and am getting the following as shown in the video. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOs07FMpbLN9o3szqkuJOR7mwhbYpW0BlSLOJejJZaGVwO20c0lTtfSzrSjnBx2-Q/photo/AF1QipMvn4D39-tCevx-DoQKPALJvaUdc5Fj5ioYx96E?key=Y3hQMExsaGRZUUVIV0pmQ2ltOS03Rms1MF9oQ0FR I have seen a few people say that they needed to add a resistor. Cool What resistance to match the impedance of the incandescent bulbs? I saw the Curt 57003 but not how anyone mounted it and honestly seems a bit janky to have plugged into the factory location and then presumably screwed to some part of the bumper? I'd much rather have something that plugs in to the plug underneath and replaces the factory plug.
  21. https://www.amazon.com/HERCHR-Circuit-Adapter-compatible-universal/dp/B07RTHKYHR/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3JQ0K9IEGPJNL&keywords=3+blade+fuse+tap&qid=1685670523&sprefix=3+blade+fuse+tap%2Caps%2C114&sr=8-4#customerReviews You will need to file it down a bit to fit. I used some sandpaper and took about 2-3 minutes
  22. About 95% sure it isn't going to fit. Every single picture I have seen has been on a "non"-refresh model. Let us know though!?
  23. Good Q, I am looking to add a bullbar and don't want to pay for the upfitter switches. https://404parts.com/products/2019-2021-silverado-sierra-upfitter-auxiliary-switches-package Have you found a bullbar for our refreshed trucks? Been having a tough time.
  24. Does that have the lane keep assist? I know with the Viofo, it was picking up the lane keep's huge box
