All 4 auto window rolldown feature
Rob Mugs replied to SMDBIOS's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra
Get WAMS and then you can do windows down AND up from the keyfob. Great for those rains you didn't see coming -

Powering Dash Cam with OBD2 port
Rob Mugs replied to Ted m's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Just my 2 cents DO NOT DO THIS You can power it off the passenger side fuse panel. Not sure about Thinkware but my BlackVue has a shut off if the power on the battery goes below "x". Why risk damaging a very expensive component? -
Anybody else hate their factory Goodyear Wranglers?
Rob Mugs replied to Daveymw's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra Mods
I hate them but noise levels are low on my reasoning. They SUCK in wet weather and frankly, aren't the best snow tire I have ever had either. -
Google Maps on 2022 refresh, getting data

I don't have a 2022 refresh.. yet Can you still use Android Auto and step around the built-in? -
Why does the Silverado has a button for all windows down?
Rob Mugs replied to Fas-T's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra
For what it's worth, you can convert this button to lock in the stank. Maybe it could be renamed the "hotbox button"? It makes that button function as all windows UP with WAMS/BT Diesel Works. Cool side note, this also allows the 2 fronts to be rolled up AND down with the keyfob -
I'd need to hear it to believe it. I have yet to chop my exhaust but if there is a muffler-only mod that won't drone, I'm 100% willing to give it a go

lifter failure Please vote
Rob Mugs replied to FJB's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
No lifter issue with my 2020 6.2 BUT.. did need a new engine for another issue, broken spring. Spring exploded and went through the rest of the motor, grenading it all -
More details needed. Do they admit the mistake? Is it in the contract? While this is an OLD story, my parents ordered an 81 K5 with every option available. They forgot 4WD. The dealer tried stacking deal upon deal for them, to which they refused. Had to wait for another build and that 2WD fully loaded truck sat for 8+ months

Will look 20x worse than what? Leaving it alone; exposing the primer or steel? If you do it right, it is a solid 20/20 or better

8inch to 10inch Screen Upgrade
Rob Mugs replied to Rally6.2RST's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra Mods
That's for an 08-11. Not sure what the relevance is here. I can also suggest some units that will work in a 72 Blazer though. -
Apologize for the confusion caused there. To be honest, I figured it was an "LT" option and not one that came with the TB alone.
-
Absolutely 2020 LT Trailboss.
-
My LT has Bose, so a bit confused there?

2 things to keep in mind: The front door speakers are only mid-bass IIRC, all of the speakers are 2 ohm That said, There are some 3 ohm speakers on the market that can meet midway between the stock 2 ohm and 4 ohm in most aftermarket audio.

Best of luck getting one, I have a bot monitoring Target and have still had troubles. Damned scalpers are a-holes

You do not need to send the BCM in. You just make the changes in the portal as shown-->Plug the device into power and let it connect to your WiFi and download the tune-->Plug it into the truck and start the flash process. Here, you can see I adjusted the Approach Lighting (when you click the keyfob at night). The DRL, Park Lamps, Reverse, and Turn signals light up. No eye burning laser headlights @GTPprix is the original owner. Good people

I have not but did a little digging and someone said that this extension would work https://www.gen5diy.com/products/gen6-camaro-live-view-mirror-camera-cable-spoiler-camera Also found this, but no idea if anyone has tried it? https://camerasource.com/automotive-cams/gm-oe-fit/2019-gm-1500-w-360-view-relocation-kit-with-camera-included.html

Price has gone up a bit due to chip shortages but not quite 800. 300 for tune and 295 for device $595). Truck will not be down at all though. You select the options you want on their web portal and then plug the device into power. It downloads the new update and then you flash it to the truck. Takes maybe 10 minutes total. Some other things that I use..... Auto close/open for sunroof (no need to hold the button) Enable Fogs and DRL for approach lighting at night (no blinding headlights) Removed door chime Set one touch lane change interval to 6 while towing and 5 while not (3 is default) Emergency strobes/Wigwags Windows UP with keyfob

For what it's worth, you can disable this with WAMS as well... and have tons of other goodies to boot
