  1. Having replaced the ac condenser in the 2014 Sierra I used to drive I know the condenser is also the trans cooler so there could be some validity to this BUT I would have to ask how they came to this conclusion since refrigerant is a gas which would leave no evidence of intermixing with a liquid like trans fluid that i know of. My old condenser had a small pin hole leak that would cause the AC to blow warm air about a week after recharging it. If this diagnosis were accurate, I would think you would have experienced warm AC before any trans symptoms became evident. .
  2. Just acquired a 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ. Beautiful truck, super clean, very low mileage. The only thing I really want to change is the wheel / tire set up. I don't care for the 22's. Looking for more tire and less wheel, would prefer to find some 18" takeoffs. So my question is would a set of 18's from a newer Silverado or Sierra fit my truck? Same hub size, brake caliper clearance, and offset? All input is greatly appreciated.
  3. The cylinder is scored so time for a rebuilt motor.
  4. Stick to your list and add a differential service, change the brake fluid, don’t bother inspecting it, it will be dark and dirty. I have a 2014 w 86k miles on it. im very happy with this truck, only planned on keeping it a few years but it’s been such a solid truck, I’m keeping it a while longer. I replaced the spark plugs and did the trans service (along w changing a couple of seeping trans cooler lines at 82k Just changed the coolant (lots of horror stories about aging Dex Cool out there) and added. A bottle of Water Wetter because of the climate I live in. Air filter gets changed annually as well as the AC cabin filter. Noticed the plastic portions at the connectors near the fire wall on the 2 heater hoses are starting to turn brownish which means they are starting to deteriorate. They will be replaced shortly. Don't overthink it, just get it taken care of.
