  1. I think the advisor is wrong. The product page on the Chevy accessories site specifically says: "Allows you to leave your keys securely locked in your car when not in use". https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/keyless-entry-keypad-85539969
  2. Does it sound like it's somewhere in the drivetrain? Does it stop if you put it into AUTO 4WD mode? If so, search here for "jingle jingle" and make a pot a coffee.
  3. I sent the pics to my brother, who has worked in dealerships for 15+ years and he said that one dealership he worked for pre-wired all their cars for tracking/kill switch devices for high risk (bad credit) customers. In some cases, banks require them in order to finance the car to a high risk customer. He said that's what it looked like to him. Makes sense that it would have to be somewhat hidden and not easy to unplug or disable. The dealer I bought it from traded it with another dealer from Houston because it matched my desired specs better than what was in their local inventory. I'm guessing maybe that dealer sticks the harness in when they prep the trucks. Or maybe someone else was trying to buy the truck before I did, so they put in the harness but then removed the device...
  4. Yes, it is Velcro. It looks a little out of place as well…
  5. Thanks everyone for the assistance. I removed some panels and followed the wires until they dead ended at another connector up above the gauge cluster... So, it's not hooked into anything??? It was obviously done by the dealer, the way the wires are wrapped around another harness looks pretty janky. See pics below:
  6. Good call! I'll check it in the morning. Thanks for the help!
  7. No, nothing written on it. It looks completely "generic" to me.
  8. Yes, nothing listed. However, the dealer I bought from does tend to try to sell you on a bunch of that kind of crap. I told them off the bat that I wouldn't pay for any of it though. I wonder if they had already prepped it for something, or installed something and then removed it (since the connector isn't connected to anything)...
  9. Yes, factory brake controller. Have the package with the lights in the mirrors. 4WD, but no Z71...
  10. That would be my instinct as well... But I bought it brand new off the dealer lot.
  11. So I had the driver's side fuse panel off on my 2021 RST Duramx and I found what appears to be an inline fuse holder hanging below the panel. I reached behind and found that it leads to a connector that was just hanging loose (unconnected) behind the plastic. The other end of the wires seem to connect somewhere behind the light or 4WD controls. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this or knows what it could be??? Everything seems to be functioning on the truck as expected.
  12. Which leveling kit did you go with?
