    So I am wondering if there is a timing issue between brake application, power up and holding in the ignition button? I am going to be very deliberate about applying the brake, letting the systems power up so to speak after 15-30 seconds, then pressing and holding the ignition button. I know I was in haste the times I got the crank but no start and quickly pushed both, not taking time (extra seconds). I am sure there are some software/hardware timing lockouts in place, but they may not be totally correct and if you hit the right timing, perhaps it cranks with no ignition applied. I recall something about timing and the glow plugs in one of the information fliers. My first diesel. Will see what happens.

    Got my truck July 16. Crank no start has happened twice, both under 600 miles, guessing about 400 mi and 500 mi. I freaked out and started pushing the start button multiple times to try and get it to stop. Sounds like holding the button in will get the start cycle to stop? Once it stopped, waited and minute or so and it started fine. It's clear by sound there is no attempt for the engine to fire, it just cranks. Sounds like no one is sure what it is at this point, especially GM? I hope the problem does not progressively get worse.

    Picked it up Yesterday! So May 27 - July 16. Crew Cab w/ Standard Bed, built in and shipped from Indiana to Denver. Good luck to all of those out there still waiting. There were sales guys talking about the 2022's, so likely August will be the release on those.

    Looks awesome! Were they easy to install? I am curious of what size were the pilot holes and the screw quality? Also the urethane that protects the paint under? Thanks!

    Truck is on the dealer website "in transit"! Hoping that doesn't mean they will screw me and try to give me back my deposit and cancel our deal...

    Find the highest volume dealer for your state.. go there. Maybe look at an adjacent state. It's easy to email and ask if they will honor factory rebates and MSRP... if not, move on. Eventually you'll find the right dealer.

    I got good news from my dealer today that my Silverado Crew Cab 1500 completed build today and assigned a VIN, 4 weeks after order accepted! Also it was built in Ft Wayne, which makes me happy since I read Crew Cabs were assembled in Siloa, sorry Mexico, but I prefer to buy American. When it will ship (via rail), no idea.. but he said trucks are flowing pretty well.

    Does anyone know if the chrome window trim on the LTZ and High Country models are removable, like a thin metal covering over normal black/rubber trim, or is it a single piece? Thanks

    Anyone taking delivery of their ordered trucks from March/April, or even May (if it isn't on hold)? I ordered mine in May, dealer said it was in production, but won't be able to tell me anything else until it is finished from the assembly line.

    Interesting... I doubt if a death occurs after that timeframe because of a faulty safety component this warranty will matter, they will still get sued and be responsible for it? At least that seems to be the precedent for other cases like that today.

    I bought a Tacoma for good mileage and get 21 MPG combined, but looking forward to my LTZ 3.0l and even better mileage in a bigger truck!

    Well, I guess I could make my way down to Dallas area maybe Friday or Saturday if you think we could figure out a time/place to pick them up would work, but understand if you have Family stuff going on. Let me know.

To clarify, you're asking $500 for the set and there's no road rash on the rims? I haven't had the gloss black rims do they show scratches from washing or anything? Tried to PM you, but I guess newbies aren't allowed

    Hey All, Ordered a Silverado 1500 I6 Diesel LTZ with only the Z71 package extra. Dealer said preliminary order was accepted on May 27 and today said the factory accepted the order. Took me a month and a half to find a dealer to order what I wanted with Supplier pricing and GM Rewards.. I even tried to order from the #1 volume dealer in the country in Texas and they said they would not sell to me unless I lived in the state... we'll see if my local state volume dealer will honor the pricing if and when the truck arrives along with the rebates which at the time they promised. They said there was GM Star Guarantee or something like that which they promise the rebates at time ordered and will honor them when it arrives if they happen to be even better. Rebates already went down $1000 in the wrong direction.. Saw mention of Driver Alert holding up orders, is that for lane changes or? Thanks and good luck to all you fellow waiters.
