Wanting to hear just from just one person who has been contacted to bring theirs in for the "retrofit". My 2021 Silverado is good to go, but my 2022 Canyon is not. I did get a letter on 8/26/22 saying the process had begun.
Mine does have the actual heated seats switches in place so I guess I just need the behind the switch module and an ecm update.
So to repeat, has anyone had their truck fixed yet?
I know the bolt pattern, center bore, etc are exactly the same for the 2018 and the 2019-2020 models. The issue some say is hit and miss with the brake caliper clearance to the spokes. I wanted to get the 2019+ 20" GM part 84253947 however they are on a national backorder. So, I'm looking at some GM part 23431107 (2018) 20" x 9" wheels but did not want to take a chance. Pretty specific question. Anyone out there put the 23431107 5 spokes on a 2019+?
1st post guys. Just trying to see if this lifter issue is just hit and miss or something more. Have a 2021 Trail Boss 5.3l that I've finalized a deal on working on-line. Was just about to go for it but I read tsb PIP5776E and it mentioned VIN build date range 9/1/2020 thru 3/31/21. The build date of this truck is 02/2021.
Not sure I can being myself to drop 60k on a fully equipped TB with a potential issue that GM is acknowledging. Maybe I'm being to cautious, but I think I'm going to wait until year end and see if the quality issue has been resolved.
