Well after much deliberation decided to go back up . Replaced the entire front suspension (control arms, inner and outer tie rods, timken wheel bearings), threw on rough country 3.5” struts and lift shocks, reflipped the rear with new oem parts, wrapped the cosmos in 285/55R22’s, threw in oem tpms (dealer gave me wrong part number so going to have to go fight to get those replaced for free. Have a decent amount of equity in her so now she’s going up for sale. Love the truck but I’m ready to move into newer Sierra with LZO .

Been chasing chevy shakes for the past 12 months. Think I have finally made progress on the problem and trending in the right direction. Replaced the MP3023 with a lower mileage one month or so ago, got her in on first lift attempt, was pretty ecstatic about that. Made a difference but did not fully solve. Performed a trans service and dif fluid service while I was under the truck Replaced trans mount Popped in new plugs and oil service, plugs burning nicely Replaced U-Joints on both shafts Huge hassle on a simple job. DO NOT BUY MOOG. They do not fit. I DO NOT SUGGEST GETTING OEM. Went to dealer after MOOG did not fit via VIN search and still ended up with wrong parts. Finally hit it with SKF brand from Napa These made a massive improvement to the shake issue Noticed upper BJ's that came with IHC kit had 1/2" of play in them. Went with Cognito Brand 2500/3500HD Uppers direct from Cognito. Of course, as has been everything with this truck, the relief cut in the IHC arms is too tight for the BJ cup on the Cognito brand. So after some "machining" and ingenious tool use I was able to get the old BJ's out and new in. Note I sprayed the machine ends with couple coats of black prime to mitigate rust concerns. Now to get the truck aligned, again, and have an appointment to get drive shafts balanced just to be sure. Driving is night and day different now. Very slight vibration randomly at cruising speed. Steering input is 1000% better than it has ever felt, even from first day of IHC install. Plan to call IHC and chat with them about going V2.0 with their uppers to incorporate the Cognito BJs as the standard option. Back to loving the truck again.

Finally pulled the trigger on HU I have been eyeing for 2 years now. Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX with iDatalink Maestro RR2 interface, HRR GM3 T-Harness, and iDatalink pioneer specific harness. Only have 1 issue, rear view camera will not display. System will kick over via reverse input and manual function of HU but no display. Will need to call and trouble shoot with Maestro rep. Beyond that love the unit. Size and fitment worked well with the Scosche Double Din. Only took minor trimming to project unit out far enough to clear and dremel some of the bezel molding in areas that are not visible to end user. Also contemplating scooping up a stock 15 Tahoe rear sway bar kit from strut masters and installing. Going to pull some measures off my father in-laws hoe to see if it'll fit. If so I have some stock 1" square 3/16 wall rusting up in the garage to weld for mount points on axle. For under 100 bucks it'll be nice to control some of the body roll a little more.

Did a service today. Oil change, cleaned and oiled the air raid, cabin filter, detailed the wheels, gave the calipers a once over, and threw on some new headlight assemblies. I think I'm into them.

This project turned into crap salad as soon as I walked back into the garage yesterday. Let’s see -New caliper brackets in kit weren’t quite oem fit so they were binding with the pads - tried to reuse old brackets, reamed new caliper mounting holes, find out after installing passenger that driver caliper bolt is seized -buy more parts, of course I have to double check behind the clerks at Oreillys, almost gave me half the WHOLE order -Amazon shipment with SS lines didn show till 6pm. -bleed system after reassembling for the 3rd time What an absolute pewp show. What should have been a 3hr project started with a 2nd day at 3pm and did not end till 11pm. On a positive note though truck feels improved. Glides down the road much smoother, no more warped rotor vibration on and off the brake pedal, braking modulation has all the feelz. So the what’s and what nots Do not purchase: AutoShack BRKPKG005294 Front Drilled and Slotted Front Brake rebuild kit. Better off piece mealing your own kit together Do purchase: Stoptech 950.66002 SS brake lines (FRONT)

Time for an “OEM” upgrade. These, brand new calipers, SS lines, and ceramic pads should make her feel solid underneath. Seein some sway bars in the future.

I ran 4-12 cabling through all of my doors, 12ga, 4 strains per. You can snake the cabling through the bottom of the B-Pillar wiring loom, there is just enough from between the factory connector and body to squeeze this through. Depending on what wiring you use depends on how it fits. The 4-12 wire that I put in each door is absolute MAX total wiring gauge that you can squeeze and keep it with the factory look using the factory seals, no cutting. Did the same thing through the kick panels down low for the front speakers, I ran 2-12 wiring for the mid range into the dash. Yes I know, I put my tweeters in the door cards, not the ideal position but I did not feel like drilling anywhere else in the door cards or the A- Pillar/upper B-Pillar. I've adjusted my crossover with a +3db on the tweeters to offset the mounting position.

At 7.25 how close is your axle to your frame rails?

FYI I found the build thread category by happen chance on here. Went ahead and created one on the whip since there will be more to come as time progresses plus I photo bombed the hell out of that thread. I need to get my post count up so I can post my sweet sweet ICON parts in the classifieds section. BTW who the hell puts a 50 post minimum to respond in classifieds. 20 should be sufficient.
