  1. It's a Curt product. Check there website.
  2. I just installed this K&N 77-3103KC and I have only drove it just a few miles. Doing a trip later this week. But I am thinking of enclosing the filter box, so it only draws outside air. This only replaces the top hid of the OEM air box. K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Increase Acceleration & Towing Power, Guaranteed to Increase Horsepower up to 20HP: Compatible with 6.6L, V8, 2020-2021 CHEVROLET Silverado 2500 HD, 77-3103KC https://a.co/d/0tSCKGq
  3. Don't know how much this will help. But anytime you can get more air flow. It's got to be better! Now on to my next project. A cold air intake upgrade. I'm going to use the OEM filter box and just put a tube in.
  4. I asked in a thread Cold Air Intake if anyone seen the Stillen replacement Air scoop. Well after looking at their replacement scoop. I just modified my OEM scoop. Didn't think I wanted to spend over $250. So I modified mine kind of to be like theirs. In the area that goes to the filter box, there's a little wall. I removed it. Then I took the scoop out of the truck. 9 pop pins and 2 T15 torx screws. And seen that they only had half the front opened up. So I cut the flap off and open the other side. Then reinstalled it. Here's some pictures.
  5. I don't know about being a younger one. I turn 64 next week. Somedays I like it's going to be 84. One thing that I have been learning is that the OEM mufflers no matter what make. Are one of the main reasons exhaust Manifolds Warpand break bolts. Causing too much back pressure.
  6. I installed the AFE system. And after adding a resonator muffler, it's better. I like what it has done. Better throttle response and fuel mileage. Still has some drone in the 1500 to 1800 rpm range. Sounds good when pulling the rv. If I had to do it allover again. I would just change the OEM muffler. Walker's Dynomax 17517 and you need a piece of pipe. Walker 43366. I found these on Amazon. There is also Magnaflow 12909 Flowmaster 953558 and 74151. These are all 3.5" inlet and outlet.
  7. Sorry, don't know why it posted 3 times.
  8. The Outlaw and American are stainless steel. The Flowfx is not. I think that's what I read. They all are 3.5", flange to the muffler. And the duel tailpipes are 3". The Outlaw and American give you the option for the tailpipes to go out behind the wheels or straight out the rear under the bump. I think the American and Flowfx sound close to the same. These were my second choice.

  10. While I was not driving because of medical issues. My sister could it to work once every 4 to 6 weeks which was a 40 mile around trip. If it's going to sit for a long time. Use a battery tender. Don't just start and run for awhile. Moisture gets in the oil and exhaust. Like said the brakes will rust and stick. Which is expensive to fix. I learned that the hard way one year with my 2003 Silverado.
  11. That should be all. I just realized that I never got one of the tailpipe.
  12. Here's the pictures that I have. Remember this is a crew cab and standard bed truck. These pictures were taken with the clamps off. Started working and remembered to take pictures.
  13. Ok, we have installed the little muffler. A lot of the drone is gone. There is a little in the 1500 to 1800 rpm range. It is quieter, but sounds good when you get on it. Even when pulling camper. The muffler is straight through just like the main one. It's close to stock with a little louder volume. The exhaust system kit came with a 4" inlet and a 5" outlet. I did change that to a 4" outlet chrome tip. So overall it's quiet at idle and a good sound at highway speed. I'm happy with the setup. I think it's has better throttle response and gas mileage is a little better too. This is a 4" exhaust system, flange all the way to the tailpipe. I have some pictures, but I'm on the tablet and they are on my phone. Post them later.
  14. One thing we do is decide where you want to pull in for the night. Parking lots or campgrounds. See what is on your way. Then check distance to these places. We do this with the camper and on motorcycle trips. You may do short days or long days. We have usually let the Last day be the shortest. Unless having a reservation that you can't be there before a certain time. And it depends on how many stops you make as you drive. You know, fuel and nature calls.
  15. Here's an update. For starters I changed tips. It helped a little. I contacted AFE and asked if anyone else has complained about this. And if they had any ideas on how to fix it. They suggested to try a resonator muffler. The person that I was talking to didn't have the pipe measurements. If I would take measurements to see how big of one could be used. I measured and and came up with that I could get one 17 inches overall total length. They made one and I'm going to test it to see if it works. And get back to them. It arrived this week, but I won't be able to try it until next week. I have 2 ideas on where to add it. It's basically cut to fit. There are 3 different pipes in front of the muffler. One way is to take out the middle pipe, there's still some cutting. And the other is to cut the first pipe, this is the flange pipe. Cut right behind the hanger and then go from there to the muffler. When I get it done, I'll let you know. And hope to have pictures too.
  16. Any update on availability and pricing?
  17. Well, I finally got the drive my truck out on the highway. I have drone in the cab. It relaxes, it goes away. As soon as a load from going up hill. It comes back. Going to add a resonator or change the muffler. I can imagine how loud it will be pulling camper. But, it did run better. Better throttle response. I seen that there is Inserts to go in the muffler to help with this. Going to check these out and see if they can help without costing alot. Trying not to spend too much on fixing it.
  18. Stillen has a air scoop to replace OEM at the top of the grill. Helps direct more cool air in toward air filter box. I haven't gotten it yet, but will be getting it down the road.
  19. I went with one from AFE Power. It is 409 stainless steel 4 inch pipes and muffler. I got it on sale for under $500. So far it sounds good. Haven't gotten to drive it much.
