  1. This works. But it works even better with the extension tube. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0987RV9ZC?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_14
  2. Ok, I thank you for your response. I didn't mean anything by it. And was just asking. I understand that it cost alot to use a 3D printer.
  3. Don't know anyone with a 3D printer. But it this was for sale, I buy 2.
  4. Find out what year and model of the van. Then go to gm website parts and see if can come up with a part number.
  5. Hi all, Has anybody added a extension tube to the oil filler hole? Making it easier to put oil in. I found one on Amazon. But it's straight and 2-3 inches long. I know that the added length would help hold the funnel. Was hoping for a 45 degree one.
  6. I know about battery tenders. I have had one on motorcycle for years. The last battery lasted 9 years. I also have one on the running lawn mower. Batteries have lasted 5-6 years. I don't have one on the Silverado. I drive it, then I get laid up and can't drive. And it sits. I have left it sit for 4-5 weeks. So far it's always started. Sometimes it turned over hard, but always started. Then it's driven or let run for 15-30 minutes. The factory battery is 6 years old. Thinking that I may be on borrowed time.
  7. Thanks all! I was driving it until a infection and I couldn't get my prosthetic leg on. I'm healed and should have it on tomorrow. But I have to get it on right away in morning. Or my leg starts to swell.
  8. How long did your factory battery last? Mine is a little over 5 years old. It's turning over hard. I know sitting for 6 weeks or more ,isn't helping. It's only been moved out and back in, just to get the mower out. Until we rearrange the garage. Being 5 years old probably makes the sitting worse. Should be used more now. Should be out of the wheelchair and walking again.
  9. Ok, I stand corrected. It's not the tag on the truck. It was a vehicle hitch chart. And of course I can't find it to show. I'll keep trying to find it. I used to work for an auto parts store. We sold a lot of them. Replacements and upgrade. They were 20000 and 30000 lbs share rating.
  10. I like the idea of the Goosebox hitch. But they aren't rated as high as it Fifth wheel hitch. Even the towing tag on my 2500hd saids that I can tow a heavier Fifth wheel then a Gooseneck tongued trailer.
  11. Glad it worked out. I have gotten good info on here. And I hope that I gave good info.
  12. Try buying a 4" inlet and outlet muffler. There are a lot of 3.5' mufflers. I found a lot of them in different sizes. There were some that were too long. Some had to add pipe. And a few the right length. I posted on one of these threads, which is about exhaust. A list of 3.5" inlet and outlet mufflers that would work as a stock replacement.
  13. Ok, thanks! I never thought about keeping the OEM pipes. And you can't just buy the pipes. You have to get the whole assembly, one big piece. I have thought about going with 3.5"pipe from the flange to a 3.5"inlet and outlet muffler. And then an adapter to the 4" tailpipe. Wonder if I'd gain anything?
  14. Then you went back to the OEM pipes and changed the muffler. That was the Vibrant Ultra Quiet muffler?
  15. I would need an oval shaped resonator if going longer. The pipe drops 4-5 inches from the flange. And it would have to be a least 22 inches or more.
  16. Well one thing in your favor, you have 3.5" pipe. Unlike my 4" pipe. You have more choices. After having straight though ones and not hearing any difference. I would say try a turbo muffler about 18" to 22" long. If I could find one with a 4" inlet and outlet, then that may get rid of the drone I have.
  17. Sorry all I can find is the 50 HD muffler and the part number is 8535572-307. Which should better.
  18. Ok, you have the Outlaw kit. Try changing the muffler to the Flowmaster 50 Big Block series it would be a quieter muffler and should get rid of the drone. I'll see if I can find the part number.
  19. What's the part number for the Vibrant that you used?
  20. If I could just buy exhaust parts and build my own system. I would get. The flange to muffler pipes clamps and hangers from Stainless Works. The muffler would be a Flowmaster 50 Big Block series with 3.5" dual inlet and outlet. And the tailpipes, clamps, and hangers would be from the Flowmaster Thunder kit. That would make a 3.5" dual exhaust cat-back system. I think that would be a good flow and not really loud with a good sound. That's my thoughts. What's your prefect exhaust system?
  21. My AFE exhaust pipes are 4 inch. I have heard it's a thing with 4 inch pipes. What makes me wonder is if the little baffles in the main muffler were melting, wondering if the ones in the resonator glass pack are. I'll have to check to see if the outside turned color like the muffler did.
  22. Yeah, the 5th wheel I have now and the one I had before. It's like if you could take the front one and put it behind the back one, it would ride better. The campers that I had before these, the axles were back farther. Giving more front overhang.
  23. I had a Mbrp quiet series muffler on before now and pulled 5th wheel. It was loud. It turned color on the outside. And when we took it off to change mufflers. It was melted inside. The baffles that stick out were deformed. My Silverado is a 2020 2500hd with the 6 speed transmission. Now my Brother-in-law has a 2021. Same motor and transmission. He has the same AFE kit, still the original kit parts. And his truck is not loud and the drone isn't as loud. He pulls a 33 ft travel trailer. These are the same truck, just a different years. I was wondering if I removed the glass pack resonator or replace it with a chambered one would get rid of the drone.
  24. When I was looking at them, I was thinking of using the 50 big block series. It's the quietest of them. But still has good sound. I talked to someone who had the Thunder kit, which uses the 50 HD series. And he said it's to loud. He was going to go with the Big Block series. He pulls trailers. I haven't seen him in awhile and I don't know if did it or not.
