Well, I'm at a complete standstill. I was hoping to finish by this weekend but unfortunately, tomorrow I'm having heart surgery and have no idea when I'll get back at it, but I'll let you know when I do.

Hey Brad12821, I'm in the progress of installing the Boost Power towing mirrors. I'd be lying if I said this install was easy. In fact, it's a lot of work but I move very slowly and take a lot of breaks and even a couple of naps. All I have left to do is put the truck back together and see if everything works. Actually, I'll be very surprised if they do work. The wiring was especially difficult for me because my eyes aren't what they used to be and I'm working with one hand. My right hand was in a cast and now in a brace and it's very painful to even use it. I'm right-handed and can't do s***t with my left so I had to stop frequently to ice my hand. I'm just too damn old to do this type of work and because this install is so involved it would have cost a small fortune to have someone do it. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I wanted to start installing the Boost Auto towing mirrors but when I opened the box there was only the mirrors, no wiring harness', or parts, nothing but the mirrors. So, I called them, and they wanted pictures of whatever was in the box and the empty box itself. Then they realized that they forgot to include the wiring harness, the wireless control modules and whatever else I had ordered. So, now I'm waiting for those parts to arrive, and I checked the USPS tracking and they have not shipped yet! Damn it, I thought I'd have the mirrors installed by now. I think I'm going to start taking my truck apart, so I can be ready when the parts do arrive. All I can do now is install the mirrors and that is it until the other parts arrive. But I must say, their customer service was on the ball and agreed that they made a mistake right from the get-go. I just wish they would have overnighted the parts. But I guess, it is what it is.

Well, wish me luck. Gonna start this install sometime next week. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for a great writeup.

Where is that write up for changing the dash speakers? I've looked but can't find it.

Ditto. I'm going to wait until someone posts the install instructions and what speakers they use and then I'll go for it.

I've heard that a lot of truck owners hate the Bose system, I agree. While I'm no expert, I didn't think that the stereo had enough bass. I finally changed the 2 front door speakers and I think it's much better, at least for me. But I'm old and don't play my music until the windows vibrate. I actually didn't think that the dash speakers did much at all to improve the sound. But, once again, I'm old, and don't usually blast the music. I'll be watching for your write up. If the dash speakers really make a difference, then maybe I'll try that also. I agree, for what these trucks cost, they should have a premium sound system. Good luck

I like that the AMP steps are 6" wide, but I chose the 2-step application.

Do you know if this can be done on a 2022 Sierra 1500?

Boy, wouldn't that spoil your day. In the first and third photos it looks like a full-size camper on short bed truck. I'm surprised at the 2nd photo but maybe with that large camper and the trailer in tow was just too much for that dually. In all cases, the trucks were just overloaded! As 64BAwagon said, "IMHO these people got exactly what they asked for, I have no sympathy for them. "Stupid is as stupid does".
