  1. 6 months ago, some people had posted about a dealer on the east coast that was giving good discounts. I can't find the thread with the name of the dealer. Anybody have that info? It might have been in North or South Carolina.
  2. Exactly what I would do. I have lithium batteries and the that same Victron XS DC to DC converter on my trailer.
  3. I know the rear seal is a one time use according to the service manual. Didn't know the nut was.
  4. You made sure it works with the truck running right? BTW, if it isn't working, it's most likely the inverter that isn't working...not the 120V outlet in the dash. Do you have multiple outlets? Do any of them work? Many possibilities including power to the inverter, as well as the serial link to the inverter that turns it on. If you happen to have a DTC related to the inverter, it will not get turned on.
  5. Yes...I brought that bulletin with me to the dealer.
  6. Not yet but that is my plan.
  7. I had a friend whose Fumoto valve got knocked off due to a piece of tire from a truck hitting it. I would never use one I had a Ronin plug on my F-150 which allowed me to drain the oil without taking the cover off. Personally, the plug is so easy to get at on our trucks, I wouldn't bother.
  8. Likewise. Would be nice for my 50A DC to DC converter in my trailer to have it although not a necessity....especially for $1260.
  9. Definitely needed for a camper like that. I used to have a large Lance slide in camper with a 1T dually. Even with the dually, that thing needed as stiff a suspension as you could get.
  10. Went into the dealer to perform the Gateway recall and few other simple things. One of the things I requested was to add the UF3 Fast Idle mode. They could definitely do it but they were going to charge be 4.5 hours at $280/hour for a grand total of $1260. I decided I would pass on getting that option added. On the 2024 models, both the ECM and BCM require programming. In previous years, it may have been just the ECM that needed programming so it might be cheaper. Anyone else do this on a 2024 model? What was the charge?
  11. I can actually agree with you there. New one is going in in the spring and much bigger! Architect/engineering is being done as we speak. All stainless steel railings!
  12. Currently in the backyard...waiting for the snow storm to arrive. No need for a pool...it's just my 2600 sq foot lake house.
  13. That's one of my vacation homes(I own it free and clear). This one is on Lake Tahoe in Tahoe Keys. Boat sits on the dock in the backyard. Previous picture was after I pulled it our for the season. BTW...I have no idea who Brad Bill is but keep on trying to think that.
  14. What does the MyGMCApp say what is has in percentage? It will have a number that is actually read from the sensor and displayed as a number.
  15. Based on where you live, I can believe that!
  16. Yep...was a good post. Definitely what I would do if I bought a truck off the lot with a snow package.
  17. 3300# payload was fine with me! Unless you are actually using your truck for snow plowing or have a diesel, ZERO reason to have a heavier duty front spring on a 3/4T truck. My rear axle rating is 6600#. I can afford to pay cash for a Denali so I will take the lipstick! If the Denali Ultimate was available in gas, I would have bought that trim! If the work truck trim model is what you have to buy so be it...people buy what they can afford. I tow a 6500# travel trailer(possibly 8000# in the future) and a 6500/7000# boat so no need for anything heavier. It's why I bought a 3/4T! I enjoy the WAY smoother ride. If I wanted the rough ride like the snow package gives, I would have bought a Ford F250. I drove in a friend's truck with the snow package...was unbearable to me. He is probably changing his springs now!
  18. GM has done this many times in the past. Typically, it's because there are too many vehicles in inventory across the dealerships.
  19. My 2024 Denali Gas have the exact same numbers. I wouldn't want any heavier. Not that a Denali would ever come with a snow package, but if I had that package, the torsion bars would be the first things I would change out.
  20. Is that a new feature for 2025? My 2024 Denali doesn't have it.
  21. When you do get a DC to DC converter again, get the Victron Orion XS 50A. You will need to run heavier wires though. I know you had the 30A before but the Orion XS is so superior in many ways when you want to charge lithium. I have 560AH of lithium in my trailer.
  22. In order to get my alternator to kick up to a high enough voltage to enable my DC to DC converter to start, I momentarily turn headlights on and off. Once the alternator sees the load of the converter, it stays in high voltage mode. If the truck is still in its high voltage mode after a startup, it will start up the DC to DC fine. Yes...it's a smart alternator. If it wasn't, it wouldn't be having this behavior. My F150 did the exact same thing.
  23. This is just some of what it says:
  24. LOL...I was an EE for GM at one point in my career, We had smart alternators for over 20 years! All you have to do is monitor the voltage of your truck and you can see the variable voltage occurring at various times! Seriously...it's very easy to see...even a caveman/lineman can see it. From the Service manual
