  1. Interesting that GMC doesn't include the full manual but Chevrolet does. Like I said, I have the manual saved to my computer and tablet which are way easier to search and find things.
  2. Wow...did you see that I corrected myself almost immediately! Within minutes! I guess in retrospect, I should have just deleted what I first said to keep YOU from having to comment!
  3. Been reading through your posts. A test I think you should do is to put a current clamp meter around each brake wire going into each drum brake assembly and measure the current at various gain settings when manually applied the brakes with the manual lever. Make sure you only use one of the wires...doesn't matter which one as long as you just put it around one. Make sure you use a clamp meter that can measure DC current. BTW...when I first bought my trailer, my brakes basically didn't work at any setting. What I had to do was burnish the brakes. That meant driving at around 40MPH and applying brakes hard to get down to 20MPH. Do this 10 to 20 times letting brakes cool down a little between applications.
  4. The funny thing is, for your truck, the manual I have would be just fine since many of the options are not even on your truck! The E85 is not available on the 6.6L gas engine. They used the smaller engine still for awhile on the WT?
  5. Now that I looked at my paper one, mine might be different than yours. Looks like this:
  6. Yes, I have the paper one...same as you have. All you have to do is go to the table of contents and see how much smaller it is...it is CONSIDERABLY smaller. I have it on a tablet so I can reference it if I am on a trip. here is a simple one...go to the lighting section. You will not see this page in the paper manual.
  7. If you look at this manual and the one you download, you will find the paper one is not a complete manual.
  8. First thing I did on my trailer was disconnect the 12V going from the 7 pin to my trailer batteries. I use a DC to DC converter to charge my lithium batteries from my truck trough a seperate Anderson connector.
  9. Little ones are pretty much worthless towing a trailer.
  10. They came with tiny mirrors?
  11. '23 and earlier you could do it yourself if you had two keys and wanted to add additional.
  12. Liters per 100 km is the common way to display the equivalent of MPG where you use the metric system.
  13. UPDATE: Spoke with a locksmith and GM made this impossible to do other than at a dealer starting in 2024 for most models and a few GMC models in 2023. They said that, eventually, the code will get cracked and aftermarket programmers may work but that may be awhile. GM is not alone apparently. Same issue with Ford.
  14. First long trip was getting 15 to 16 MPG going a steady 70. truck had 500 miles on it.
  15. Those are good. Those will be the next set of tires I put on this truck.
  16. Yes...but which Michelins? If they are the Primacy, they are a lower level tire.
  17. Wouldn't raising the trailer's suspension 2" be a better mod? I know horse trailers like to be low....i used to own a horse trailer...but it seems better than modifying the tow vehicle.
  18. That's a option as well. That's in addition to a number of views. You don't have to use invisible trailer to use the trailer camera.
  19. From another thread, it sounds like I need to lower the height so I will try again when I get my trailer out again
  20. I kinda figured that would be the case but wanted to be sure.
  21. We were coming back from a camping trip pulling our trailer. For the last 2 hours of the trip we had no sound. When I say this, it was just not the radio...also turn signals didn't have sound either. When we got home, I stopped the truck engine, got out of the car...got in 10 minutes later and started the car and now have sound again. I was at the dealer a few days later and talked with the service manager. Sounds like they have seen this before and they say it's a software bug and that they can update the software on it for a fix. We will see.
  22. I am not sure I see the point of doing this other than seeing if it can be done or not.
  23. They don't mention 2024 but I imagine they would work fine. Anyone install these in a 2024 yet? https://www.amazon.com/HERCOO-Multi-Pro-Compatible-2020-2021-Replacement/dp/B097DMJQ73/ref=sr_1_9?crid=1RTGMR48QDLAL&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.mRcQwFCX2duW-JPTEBGEGhADN0ytY-tXbKRfVwN9LboJBGdtuy3NRUh-9eLr_R7pcJG2QweDmrqxqVRKCItEbQepglqHTcSh2_ioooSuAlzddAQJEluLU8P_XaYImX20Li3DRcOu45fkwf_GuC_u_ejXpbAwUe6lQlJNw5mGv9DqoOX4My1JivqT6xkHsyTzRtmDMRkwYN0IkFafWprLFhX9YUEeTqJqqhY5iXh92go.8N9dL5OT2xtbeWzV0A9d0t13rxgvwmsF-igc9C59ebs&dib_tag=se&keywords=gm%2Btailgate%2Bled&qid=1717867897&sprefix=gm%2Btailgate%2Bled%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-9&th=1
  24. If your fob is out of range of the truck...won't matter.
  25. They basically clone your fob. Keep your fob in a faraday pouch or wrapped in aluminum foil in your house https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H1C21O2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
