  1. That's actually very interesting. He put in slots for the notches but didn't go the next step to allow you to lock it in though. Probably works fine and still way better than a normal funnel. I am guessing the LS has the same opening than the LT. I haven't had an LS engine for 6 years. His would be a lot faster to print. Mine took 17 hours because of all my overhangs and I need support added. His was only 6. I made mine very thick which may have not been needed. Always kinda cool to see how other people do things. I have special threaded funnels for every car I own. This is the first one I designed.
  2. Thank you. I would never sell anything I make. I will share the design file for free though. In fact, I have already shared it on Thingiverse. I have a bunch of things I have designed that are posted there. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6652293
  3. before I designed this, I looked and looked and never found one. I looked all over. Sometimes, its more fun to design your own anyway.
  4. I haven't looked at that screen while doing the calibration. Going to try it tomorrow.
  5. I guess not really a MOD but I will put this here. Did my first oil change at 1600 miles the other day. Did not like the shenanigans I had to go through with a long funnel so I decided to design and 3D print my own with a bayonet/threaded mount that matches the oil cap and a 45° angle. Printing a flexible gasket as we speak to hold it in place better. IMG_1753.mp4
  6. It's not grayed out and I just read the other thread about this talking about the 118 inches. Going to try lowering my height. Says on my display the max is much higher though. EDIT: I may have already changed it from 123 inches to 118 inches before looking at the selection.
  7. What height did you have in before? Was it just the changing of the number or that particular number that did it?
  8. Installed my factory camera at the precise location on the back of my 25' trailer and angle was set to spec. Went into setup and it won't finish calibration. I have gone 5 to 10 miles down perfectly straight roads doing slightly less than 30 MPH. Any suggestions of what I might need to do to get this to finish calibration?
  9. Mine works fine with a 25' trailer. A longer trailer might need it moved.
  10. Look behind your license plate and see if the receiver is there. Believe mine said 4T on the side Look at this thread:
  11. I do a drain and fill at 30K miles. At the first 30K miles, I change the filter too so it's a pan drop. At 60K, simple drain and fill. At 90K another pan drop. A majority of my miles are towing a 6500# trailer. I have a Heavy duty,
  12. On my new truck, I am getting the sides to match the rear seat ones(illegal in CA). I am also getting the clear low E tint(not really a tint but they call it that)It might have a very slight tint to it.
  13. Correct...looks like it can be added.
  14. Right now I have a 30A DC to DC and replacing with a 50A. Haven't tried it yet.
  15. I ordered my truck and one thing I didn't order was the high idle switch and now I regret that. I did order the 200A alternator. Ideally I would like a high idle when I am charging my trailer lithium batteries through a 50A DC to DC converter. Anyone add one of these to their gasoline powered trucks after the fact? One thing I don't know for sure is if this was even allowed as an option on the gas trucks.

  17. Not odd at all. Many times manuals are produced in other countries. A good portion of my circuit design team was in Romania. The Forscan software that Ford uses was developed by a Russian software guy.
  18. I just bought my service manual from them. The only downside is they came in 4 parts so a little harder to search for things. I may take a snapshot of the collapsed index to help in the future
  19. I am not fond on any transmission pan that doesn't have a drain...including these GM trucks.
  20. Sorry for the not so good angle picture. In my driveway and I am hitched up to go on a trip. Mine has sliding windows with pet screens to protect the regular screen from things hitting it inside.
  21. Installed my camera and tried to do calibration for both transparent camera and rear trailer guidance. I could not get through calibration but it was an overcast day so wondering if that is part of the problem. Also, I do have a camper shell installed so the camera in the bed is blocked. Not sure if that makes the transparent camera mode not work. Trailer is a 25' travel trailer bumper pull.
  22. What are your liability limits and how many miles do you tell them you drive a year? I have to carry at least $1M liability for my umbrella insurance and that boosts my insurance cost. I carry $1000 deductibles on collision and comp. I use USAA. Have not found anyone that beats them.
  23. Just put a SnugTop on mine. Personally, they are the best as well as being the most expensive. If you do get one, make sure it unlocks at the same time all your doors do. Not all have that optional feature.
  24. Exactly what I would do.
