  1. I drive for a living . Hard to stay out of the throttle when your climbing hills in the woods or going up a back side of a mountian with 10 to 18 000 pounds behind you . Its getting axle wrap under part throttle climbing hills
  2. Hey everyone ill give you my truck specs then give you my problem. 2024 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 6.6 gas 10 speed allison crew cab 6.5' box When in snow conditions in 4wd or 2wd . Wet pave or even dry pavement under the right conditions im getting massive wheel hop/ axle wrap in the rear end .more often when im pulling a trailer . I ran traction bars on f350s i had in the past but i shouldnt have this issue with this new of a truck . I currently habe 49 000 km on it . I use the truck for work . I cannot find any loose hardware ( u bolts, spring hardware, shocks look good ) Is my springs weak already ? I couldnt find any broken leafs in the pack. Any9ne else have this issue . I was thinking of just throwing traction bars on it but i would also like to find the cause of the issue
  3. Looking for a front winch mount for my 24 2500 hd gasser . I am looking for anyone who has one and their opinions on the brand they bought and review. Maybe pictures . Found some online but hard to find a honest review . Thanks kindly from Canada
  4. My door moves alot too . Anyone figure out a adjustment i can do or a fix for it . Very annoying
  5. I haul campers with mine i own a towing company . I hauled all kindas from 5th wheels to tag alongs . Abything from 5000 pounds to 15 000 pounds sometimes more . Every trailer hauls differnt . In my experince the trailer tires make the biggest differnce . A good brand name tires properly inflated helps alot . Dont cheap out on trailer tires . I never use any forum of anti sway . I have good luck but every trailer is differnt
  6. My 2024 2500 gasser burnt oil like crazy for the frist 25000km . All of a sudden it stoped . I currently have 42 000 on the truck and no more issues . I also change my oil every 7500 km
  7. I never herd of this . I start my truck in -30 all time 2024 l8t gasser i live in canada and i dont plug my truck in . Coldest i started it was -35
  8. I never herd of this . I start my truck in -30 all time 2024 l8t gasser i live in canada and i dont plug my truck in . Coldest i started it was -35
  9. I got a 24 2500hd custom crew cab 4x4 6.5 foot box 6.6 gas I use to haul everyday. Anywhere from 7000 to 18000 pounds. Tag along and 5th wheel trailers Factory snow plow package truck and factory 5th wheel equipped. I would like to either add over load springs or bags just wondering what everyone else has for experience and opinions . I would like to get rid of it dragging it's a$$.
  10. Love this thread i been fallowing along . Cant wait to see finished product and some updates
  11. Mine are not textured . I seen other 24s with the textured ones . But if you lay under my truck its visable the paint is so thing the primer is showing
  12. I have a 2024 2500 hd i bought new in july 2023 currently has over 30 000 km on it Black crew cab 6.5 box 4x4 6.6 gas . Trucks bone stock factory good years on it and mudflaps. My issue is with the paint . I DO NOT use my truck in the woods at all . It stays on the pavement . The bottoms of my doors and both rocker panels look terrible . Chips right to bare metal Bottoms of doors are turning white with chips very obvious when i clean the truck Truck hauls campers to and from camp grounds most of the time . It never leaves pavement . At this rate ill have to take the truck to get repainted soon . Also like to mention that when i bought the truck the paint was so thin on my rocker panels you can see grey primer bleeding through the black paint. The dealeship gave me a touch up pen but the factory paint should be more durable. I owned alot of trucks and never seen "Road Rash" this bad on this new of a truck
  13. Heres the specs then the story 2024 2500 hd 6.6 gas 4x4 crew cab 10 speed allison trucks bone stock has 27 000 km on it atm i bought it july 18 2023 So other day i started my truck moved my 5th wheel in my yard then went to head into town . Truck was at temp as i had been using it around the yard . I jumped onto the road and rolled out and floored it around 25 kph and the truck stopped pulling at 118 and a messaged show up on my dash that said speed limiter set to 118 kph . I stopped the truck and it went away . Now fast forward to few days ago i was pulling a 5th wheel travel trailer that was 11000 pounds down the highway i pulled out to pass a car that wasnt maintaining highway speed i gave my truck 3/4 throttle ( i was driving 65 kph ) and it barked the back tires just like if you locked up the rear wheels . Felt like a old car with a extreme shift kit . Today as i was driving it it banged a few times hauling ruffly 8500 pounds in stop and go traffic like it was being slammed in gear as i was slowing down to the traffic lights . Anyone else experienced these issues before . Now in my personal opinion it seems electrical related . About 10 000 km ago my truck wouldnt stop dinging from Montreal quebec all way back to new brunswick until i unhooked my battier like a warning ding every 4 to 5 seconds
  14. I have a 24 2500 hd 6.6 gas and 10 speed allison . I haul more then 15000 with it . Handles 10 000 to 15 000 nice on the highway . I over loaded it few times towing 20 000 and 22 000 pounds . These trucks are built well . I have no experience with the 6l90e that your truck has hopefully someone else can chime in . I know 10 speed trucks handle weight at highway speeds very well
  15. Some of us cant use a break in period . I needed to replace my 03 duramax and needed a truck to go straight to work . I know theres more people like me out there who buy a truck for company use as im a owner operator . Its just a machine . Its bought to work . It doesnt have feelings and its going to probably have 300 000 on it by the time its 3 years old
