  1. As an update to the situation if anybody happens to run across this problem... even though I called about six dealers all telling me from taking the fender off and unhinge the door to cutting the panel off, which I was ready to do. But all I did was bend the top half of the door panel back at the top by the window. I assumed the door panels with all the plastic were quite rigid but apparently on the new Silverados they are quite soft. I got the idea from a guy replacing a window sweep on a 24 Silverado and all he did was work the top of the door panel where it's inserted by a lip where it meets the window and bend it back ... had access to the whole inside.
  2. In my ignorant haste while replacing my front door speakers I forgot to attatch the wire latch to the inside door handle on the door panel that disengages the lock to open the door. Now that the door panel is back on and door shut, there is no way to open it to remove the door panel to fix this. Will not open from outside either. Anybody have an idea of what I can do to open it. Is there a way thru the inside door handle area?
  3. Thanks for the reply. Did you have to solder the filter? Any good guide online for that? I have vaguely seen pics of it somewhere I know you are referring to . The JL Audio's I intend on buying come with a filter at 450hz and wondering if the would work instead. That being said I know the JBL's you bought also come with them so there must be a reason why you didnt use them.
  4. I have been doing some research and cant seem to find the answer. In a 2024 Silverado LT without Bose and 13.4 screen setup I am trying to replace the stock dash speakers and have two questions. I am looking at installing JL Audio CF-275MT dash speakers. I have JBL 964m in the doors. Does the head unit filter the low frequency sent to the dash speakers. I am reading reviews on this speaker and others and many mention not to put the inline filter that comes with the speaker saying it distorts if you do, so a lot of people have run it without the filter, but they never mention if it is stock like mine or Bose so thats why I am here. Is the filter needed in my setup? Also is there a connector there that a harness can plug into.
  5. You dont have many options. the 295/55 are 12.2" and will most likely need a min 3/8 spacer to be safe as you will be fairly close to the upper control arm. And that maybe cutting it close even with that TBO. your adding 1/2 of tire to that side of the tire. measure the distance now and see how close you are to the arm. I am not sure on your offset for the stock 22 but thinking it is +28mm and if it is then you will need 3/8 or 1/2 spacer. That specific 35 is only 11 inch. That will most likely require trimming and will be a tight squeze. Go to a 20 and your options open up or something like this would work Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 LT265/60R22 its 34.5 x 10.7 ... half inch less wider than your current setup and 2 inches taller
  6. I ended up buying prewired single pin connector on ebay according to that model number. I'll just connect it to the existing wire. And then heat shrink. Hopefully that is the right pinhead. We'll have to see when it gets here. Thanks for all your guys's help.
  7. Thank you Tase. The pigtail would work out better. As I can just connect to wires together. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks to be the connector. The connector I have the issue is copper wiring broke off as I was fiddling with it trying to get it in, connector seems pretty much intact my. Do you think solder would be strong enough to hold that together, i was thinking it might end up breaking. And then being stuck in there.
  8. I was trying to install a set of illuminated door sills in 2024 Silverado LT. Based on the instructions here: Part of the install requires you to insert a wire with a pin on it already into one of the connectors attached to the BCM. Unfortunately, the pin connector that goes into the bcm broke at the connection point. Here is a picture of it. I was hoping someone would guide me to a part number in which I can order a new one, or have any other suggestions
  9. Looking to order 3/8 spacers, cause I need them for the front for clearance. I wanted to put them in the back to get an even look. I know they’ll fit on the front with plenty of turns but not sure about the back. Anybody know how many lug turns you can get out of the rear?
  10. I’m trying to keep it as factory as possible without replacing the upper control arms. Wondering what the max level I can go without replacing them.
  11. I’ve been wanting to put a factory 2 inch lift on my truck, have seen the warning on the kit for the 5.3 LTs which seem to point to the fact that they all come with composite leaf springs for that specific configuration. I’ve read that the last leaf is composite of the 3 leafs but I have taken a magnet to all three leafs and they are all definitely steel unless it’s some composite steel hybrid. So do some of these 53 LT’s just come with all steel or am I missing something? I’m just wanting to verify this so I can get the factory lift.
  12. Ok thanks. Will give it a shot. Thanks for all your help. Granted, I am using the default android auto that is the main os for Binize, not autokit. Not sure if that makes any. Don’t think it should. And secondly there’s several settings in the factory reset on infotainment. Do you recommend resetting them all? I know that I’ve tried resetting the infotainment yesterday. Didn’t change any functionality.
  13. Todd, I was hoping you can help me. I see in your post that when you’re in android auto mode your Binize starts up to android auto mode automatically, and then obviously into CarPlay auto kit. I’ve literally been on the tech support with them for two weeks and I can’t get it to automatically start up. Does yours automatically switch to android auto mode when you start your car so that it shows the T box on your screen without having to press any button buttons? Mine used automatically start upwhen it was in CarPlay input mode, it would just show up on the screen after about 20 seconds without any input. But now since I switched it to the android auto mode to get full screen, I have to manually hit the android auto button on infotainment screen to get the T box to show up. It’s driving me crazy I have to keep manually doing that Please any help would be greatly appreciated
