I glad you started this thread! I've been meaning to, but never got around to it. There doesn't seem to be a ver big presence on here of our color. I too hate that they are discontinuing it, but glad I got one while i could! -
In order to use the app in your truck, you need to have the app on your phone and it hooked up through a usb port. You can always have it play through bluetooth by selecting bluetooth on your radio and play it on your phone...

You will need a harness that plugs into the port under the dash. One should have came with your truck. They weren't ready for the early year models and I had mine delivered at no cost from the dealership when GM released them. You should be able to get one for free from your dealership if it didn't have one to begin with. -
ANYONE BOUGHT A DEALER DESIGNATED "DRAC" SILVERADO
lsorah0001 replied to tbare54's topic in 2014 - 2018 Silverado & Sierra
Although I haven't bought one, my uncle is the GM at the local Chevy dealership. He currently has one in the program that is getting ready to sell. I may be able to answer some questions; feel free to PM me. -
I hadn't planned on it, because I'm going for a factory look. But, this may work very well for that. If you pull the trigger, share, I'd love to see it!

No problem! I'm liking what I have!

That would've been awesome! I posted a while back looking for some, but didn't get any hits for used ones.

I've used this brand on other cars I've had in the past, and it held up very well. Hopefully this will too.

quick question regarding silverado LT
lsorah0001 replied to want a 2500HD's topic in 2014 - 2018 Silverado & Sierra
Exactly. If I understand it correctly, they used a plastic gear,(or something on the actuator) and replaced it with a metal piece. Doesn't leak if it's closed, it just gets stuck in the open position and won't close... -
So I decided to do the opposite of most people on here and add as much of the factory chrome look as I could to my LT. I've already installed GM chrome mirror covers and ebay stick-on door handle covers (which are really nice, btw.) I'm not a fan of paying between $140-$200 for the OEM trim, so I took a chance and bought some generic trim from Advance Auto. The factory trim measures 30mm or 1.1in. I had a choice of 3/4" or 1 3/8"; I went with the larger since it was the closest to facotry width. It is 8 ft. in length and is ~$18 per roll, so you need two. After cutting, the hardest part is to keep it level as you are sticking it on. Once on, I had to trim the edges to fit the door a bit better. It really turned out better than i expected. I've seen the question posed about buying the generic trim vs. OEM, so hopefully this can help make a decition. Feel free to ask any questions, I'd be happy to help!

I have an LT with the sliding rear glass. It was built in July 2013, and came with the "LT Plus" package which got me the rear glass, homelink, rear park assist, and movable pedals. The dealership fixed the part that was causing problems under a TSB/Recall. -
Just saw this green Z 71 at a local dealership. And holy cow! It looks so much better in person.
