  1. Nice work. Looks much better.
  2. Make sure to check with Black Bear Performance. I bought mine through them.
  3. I don't know what size tire you're running, but Mickey Thompsons new Pro drag radial is hard to beat. Currently it only comes in 275/60/15 but there are rumors of a bigger size coming. I think they work ok.
  4. Yes sir. Full interior, tagged, inspected, and driven to get groceries on a frequent basis. I'm running a TH350 with 3.50 gears and I'm running a 275/60/15 drag radial. So, it actually goes down the highway nicely too.
  5. Did nothing specifically with the car, but did make arrangements for someone to cover me at the clinic so I can race on Sept 27. Going to a heads up street car race in Ardmore. I haven't ran it since May 18th. Getting a little antsy.
  6. Ordered one of these for it so I don't end up leaving my back bumper on the starting line.
  7. I would stick new wires on all 8 and the coil. I may certainly be wrong, but I just don't see the cam causing that erratic pattern. Certainly a steep power drop, but unless it's floating the valves I don't see it causing that. How big of carb are you running? Have you joined speedtalk yet? I have yet to find a more knowledgable site when it comes to horsepower.
  8. I would dyno it again before you go buying cams. I still don't think cam is your issue. Again, only possibility I see there is if you running a hydraulic cam.
  9. That really does look great! Really dresses up the engine bay in a very "clean" way.
  10. Looks great! I just took my cover off.
  11. That is a performance gear reduction starter. It's not very small, but I bet it's smaller than the oreillys starter. I don't see a "stock" starter living. If you like changing them then it will probably work.
  12. I can't imagine trying to get a full size starter on and off that thing. Damn! We can't get a full size starter in and out on our camaro or my nova. If we did it would never live. I just stuck a new MSD starter on mine in may.
  13. Do you have a mini starter on it?
  14. Installed O2 sensor bungs on the camaros exhaust and checked timing on the nova.
  15. Also, what other forums have you been on? I recommend speedtalk.net Some of the premier engine builders in the country frequent there.
  16. I certainly didn't mean to imply that you were a moron. It's just that this is the internet and you never know who's on the other side of the screen. I don't know your engine specs. I assume this is a solid and not hydraulic valve train? Under that assumption, my first thought would be some where in the ignition system too. I have certainly seen plugs do this. I have also seen a wonky distributor do it. How old is that digital 6 plus box? I just had to replace mine because it under load around the same rpm would make the car feel like I was hitting the rev limiter. I even tried adjusting the rev limiter to 9500 and it would still do it right around 5500 rpm. Long before my shift light.
  17. Were you thinking 700-800 wheel hp or crank hp?
  18. My new to me track cart.
  19. Most likely because the 700R4 won't hold up to the power that a GV unit will. Even a built 700r4 or 4L60 just doesn't like a lot of power. Especially if you like to use the power. I know everyone has a story about their brothers uncles friend had a 8 sec car with a 700R4, but the design just doesn't handle power well.
  20. Nothing besides talked about what I need to do to it. It's been sitting for about a month.
  21. I don't have a Gen V engine, but I do run a catch can. I ordered mine from http://catchcans.com Nice quality can for the price.
  22. Got the new front clip and drag radials installed. Took it out last weekend.
  23. It will run a little rich, but it will run fine. A tuner, like black bear performance, can tune out the rear cats and prevent it throwing codes.
