  1. @Sonders Since I see you are pulling a camper, do you use the GM factory extension camera for trailering? If so, how does that work with bikes on the rack? I just put an undercover tri-fold on my truck and I really like the rack system you’re using.
  2. Getting ready to call my dealer tomorrow about some 'chirping' (hoping this is the issue) and rear end noise (possible leaf spring isolator replacement TSB). For those of you that have had this issue, was is primarily after longer / higher speed driving? That's when I really notice the issue with my 2019 with 40k.
  3. For the last few trucks I had before I bought my 2019, I always had bed caps / shells. We had a large dog at the time and it gave him somewhere to ride so he could move around (all had sliding glass for air movement) and still gave us plenty of room to use the bed for hauling. When I bought my 2019, we no longer had a dog but I still wanted a way to secure items in the back (mainly to keep them out of plain view) so I went with the BakFlip MX4 and couldn't be happier. I can secure items under the cover when needed and still carry larger items by simply folding it up or using the rods to support it against the rear of the cab. I have found one place that appears to have leaked a small amount during a 'monsoon' of a week that we had recently but it was minimal. If I'm carrying things like luggage in the back, I always use plastic totes for ease of loading / unloading and for added peace of mind knowing that those items will stay dry.
  4. My 2019 just did the exact same thing. Volume up button quit clicking but still worked at first..... now nothing and I have lost all steering wheel control except cruise control. Another trip to the dealership, hopefully a quick / easy fix.
  5. Thanks, I was researching those since the AMP is $75+.... figured there had to be a more economical alternative. I'll have to try that out.
  6. Installed AMP steps... what a difference in looks! Has anyone installed AMPs and used the plug and play cable to be able to still use the OBD port?
  7. As promised, scan of the documentation from GM concerning the use of Hypertech. GM - Hypertech 8-25-20.pdf
  8. Mine had been also..... I have a copy of the information that my dealership gave me that I'll scan and share (it specifically calls out the P/N 730129). I have removed the Hypertech calibrator to see if the condition still exists.
  9. Had this exact issue with 2019 with 10,500 miles on it. Needless to say, I'll be taking it off the truck. Has anybody contacted Hypertech about some sort of refund since their product does not work as advertised (causes issues with new body style trucks)?
  10. While driving Saturday night my 2019 Silverado went 'crazy', all gauges quit working (all needles went to left including tach, speedometer, etc.) and digital speedometer went to zero. Warning lights stayed on during this time, AC turned off (fan continued running but not cooling), cruise turned off (though it was not always on when this happened), seemed that power steering turned off (still could turn but felt like I lost power assistance), backup/reverse lights did not work. It happened several times but everything has come back on after various lengths of time. The truck never turned off but all these conditions stayed until the issue resolved itself. Has anyone else had this issue?
  11. Have you had anymore issues? Guess my luck ran out today/tonight with having no issues on my 2019 Silverado (purchased in October 2019 and just over 10,300 miles). The gauge cluster started showing all codes, all needles went to zero while moving (tachometer, speedometer, etc), and the a/c stopped working. I also noticed that the reverse lights and camera were both not working. Has anyone else had this issue?
  12. Having trouble getting a good video.... will try to get a good one soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just ordered mine... eager to see the difference with no more DFM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I'm debating this for my 2019 6.2 / 10 speed since I have read nothing good about DFM. Wonder if I can use this with my auto stop eliminator? I dread having to take the dash apart again to take it out.
  15. I’ll see if I can get a decent video this weekend if the weather clears up in NC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So I guess you like the console tray? I’ve been debating getting one for small items so I can find them easily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. What did you use to paint the calipers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Installed a BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover.... straight forward install and took me about a hour by myself. I had camper shells on my last three trucks but didn’t want to lose the camera on this one so I think this will work great to give me a means to lock things up in the bed. Tailgate auto feature works great also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I couldn’t shell out that kind of cash for a cat back when there is minimal horsepower gain. I’ll keep my AFE! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Very pleased with this ‘muffler replacement’ so far... very deep and slightly louder and no drone at 75mph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I actually emailed AFE after finding pics of it on their website but I ordered from another vendor that had the cheapest price shipped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Took the time this afternoon to get this on the truck. My thoughts: 1.) This replacement is very high quality and fits great. The only issue I had was I overtightened one of the Accu-Seal exhaust clamp and broke it, luckily it was the rear-most connection and there is plenty of 'overlap' in the pipes so I can drive until I get a replacement. 2.) This has a very deep exhaust note and louder at idle.... tried to get a video but all you could was the birds chirping in the background. I'll try again later and get a drive-by since the rear exit exhaust is hard to hear while driving. Factory muffler is about 29" long while the AFE muffler is a straight-through design and is 14" long. I left the front flapper in place and removed the rear flapper (still have factory resonators).
  23. I would post up differences from wheel well to ground before and after but I accidentally threw the wrong set of instructions away while I was cleaning up. I do recall that it was a full 3.5” front and 2.5” rear from stock and before new tires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It took me 8hrs from start to finish. I didn’t think that was too bad considering I did it all by myself. I’m sure that if I did another one I could trim off a few hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The worst part of the front was taking the struts apart for the pre load spacer. I used a set of spring compressors and a pneumatic gun to make compressing them quicker (tried to do it with hand tools but that was a fail). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
