  1. Update from one of my previous posts. My brothers 2010 5.3L CC Silverado just had a bunch of engine parts replaced due to oil consumption. His truck has almost 40,000 miles now and is his daily driver. Funny thing is, my two trucks are both tuned with AFM tuned out with no issues. His truck was not tuned and used a shit load of oil in 3,000 miles. Dealership was great about the issue with no questions asked. Don't hesitate to take your trucks in if you suspect there is an oil consumption issue. GM is taking care of people, warranty or not. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  2. Not worth it, don't bother.....Keep them at standard capacity (30rd.), that's what they are made for.
  3. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Do they have the limiter in them that onhly allows 10 rounds?
  4. Now you need a SOPMOD stock to complete the SOPMOD version of that rifle. That Magpul one is ok but the SOPMOD stock fits much tighter and is far more comfortable to shoot. They can be had for $58.00 from BCM. Very comfortable and the newest military/govt issue. We just got them at work and everybody loves them. Also ordered a few for my personal rifles. 5. Had a Ford in my garage yesterday/today. Just got done replacing the motor on my neighbors 2010 F150! Ford refused to replace it under warranty. They said he "failed to take it to a certified Ford dealer" for oil changes as stated in his warranty contract when he got the truck. They would not cover anything and the dealership wanted to charge him out the ass to fix it so he bought one out of pocket. Finished it about an hour ago, PITA! No more Fords in my garage! 6. Was clearing trees this a.m. to build another garage next to my current one. Had an accident, more like a miscalculation and dropped a tree onto the garage. Project now on hold, have to fix the roof and siding!!!! Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
  7. Something like that will cost $500 or more...........WELL worth it though for traveling. You got your AR set up perfect, no useless junk hanging all over. Can't tell from the pic but do you have a light on the handguard?....Even got the red dot in the right place. Can't stand seeing them mounted on the rear of the flat top rail. They should be as far to the front as possible, just like yours! Nice set-up. Get rid of that Sig and put a Glock in there!!!!! When we ordered them through work, we filled out a custom sheet order and they cut the foam accordingly.
  8. I have been on several flights for work related reasons and haven't had a firearm misplaced. Just make sure you have a proper airline approved, lockable case to transport on the airplane. I use a Pelican case with custom foam for an exact fit with my select fire Colt M4 and pistol including magazines. Not sure how much it really costs, ordered through work.
  9. The GM 5.3L engine was ALWAYS loud with lifter tick. I haven't owned one that wasn't. If you are that unhappy with your truck, trade it in and get yourself a Ford or Ram. I am sure you will be happy with one of those problem free trucks. As to your sweeping under the rug comment, that's just stupid. You are pretty much calling everyone here a liar because they don't have any problems.
  10. If you read the owner's manual from any other manufacturer, you will see that they state a certain amount of oil usage is expected. It's NOT only GM.
  11. Looks really good, definately one of a kind. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
  12. Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong. For some reason, certain newer mods. get weird like that sometimes, even though the posts are normal. Similar comments were made about a post or two I made a whike back that there was no issue with. The mod who commented to you didn't see any problems either. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
  13. LOL..........I'll take cold and snow over Communism ANY DAY!
  14. Washed both trucks and put them back in the garage.....Snow storm headed this way, AGAIN!......Put the snow plow back on the atv, thought we were done with this weather!
  15. ^^^^^ No big deal, easy fix. Have the pitman/idler arms checked. They may be worn to the point that they were easy to ajust for alignment but the larger tires and lift caused more stress. That would explain the pull and steering shake after alignment. Most likely they are worn and can't hold alignment after the mods. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for the pix. Definately sticks out WAYYYY to far for a duty rifle. May pick a few up for other AR's though. BCM makes great products, that CH should last forever.
  17. ^^^^^^^^^ That one looks much more aggressive than the BCM ones. Would most likely catch on things easier with the large "teeth" on that charging handle.
  18. Thanks for posting........Looks like I am going to stay with the factory charging handle on my duty rifle. The lever, even the small one looks like it may cause some snag issues on duty gear.
  19. ^^^^^^^^^^^ That would be great...A side by side would really help before I order a few of them. I am worried that it may snag on the front of my clothing/vest when hanging.
  20. I would like to get them for my AR's BUT was worried about them being a snag point....Guess I will get one for one of my non-duty AR's and see how it goes.
  21. How do you like the BCM charging handle compared to the regular one? Can't tellby the picture is it mod 1,2,or 3? Should last forever, they are much begter quality than any that are factory installed. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
  22. Sarah, truck looks good lifted. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
  23. Looks like Commifornia is getting worse.....Guess that's what happens when they have a $.68 a gallon (or more) fuel tax. Hope that doesn't spread to the rest of the country any time soon.
  24. Finishing my garage safe install. Have it bolted down with 8" long industrial bolts at 9 points. Now I have to get the shelves assembled and installed. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
