GM bed liner, GM tenneau cover, exhaust tip, GM deluxe floor mats. Hello GM, bye bye Ram (gave it to his son)! He loves the Silverado. Only cost him $40,488

Started the 2010 today to make sure it still runs. Decided to bring it to work today since it was already running, had to fill up with gas. $85.72, reminded me why I drive a Cruze to work all week...Damn gas companies!!!

Stock......don't have any pics from the last few months. Going to have to take some. First one is on the lot, second is on the way home in parking lot.

Loaded the race car for Friday night. Just got back from the engine shop. He found something new and wants me to give the engine a run. Good thing about it is it's his engine, so if it blows up it costs me nothing:) Have to put the body back on the Saturday night car and she'll be ready to go too. Drove the truck into work today, STILL acting up because of the Volant. Thought I had it fixed when I fixed the cold start issue by changing all the supplied fittings wit hstronger/better silicone. Can't seem to get my air/fuel numbers consistent in my logs, they always seem to be different. Will be swapping out the Volant tube for an AirAir tube when it gets here that is smaller in diameter. Should help the leaning out issues.

Doesn't have anything to do with Cali. emissions standards. If a cat. has a 9 year warranty, it's 9 years. Nothing to due with the state you are a citizen of. GM warranty is GM warranty. Still in the "shop". Went over entire race car, nut and bolted, new tires, scaled it, new torque are, torsion bars, moved a little weight to the right rear....Cleaned body panels and reinstalled, changed shock gas pressure, rebuilt extra shocks, bought a couple different weight coil springs and a few extra torsion bars. Still have to change oil, filter, clean air filter, tranny fluid, gear oil, power steering fluid, charge battery, fill fuel jugs, load back everything into the trailer and get ready to go Friday. Also need to mount the new spare tires on the wheels and hang them on the rack inside the trailer after they are grooved and grinded........ Other than that, not doing much at all.

Opening and closing it manually should not hurt, you have to do it to completely clean it. I have done it several times without issue. Is it possible you sprayed something you shouldn't have? Dealer may need to do an idle re-learn with the Tech-II. If you don't want to do that, drive if for a while (like a few hundred miles) and it should re-learn the proper idle. When yo udid it the first time, probably didn't drive long enough. If the truck was out of warranty, it would cost you maybe $85.00 for the re-learn at the dealer. The code you should be getting is P0507 = engine idle speed greater than desired (programmed) You said the throttle body was really dirty. The ECM made an adjustment due to the carbon build up on the throttle body. When you cleaned it, you caused a sudden change to the throttle body function and confused the ECM. It should readjust after about 200 miles or so and be back to normal. You need to take a road trip.

2qts. under 3K is unacceptable IMO. There is no way that much oil should be "used" unless something is wrong.

2010 5.3 burns NO oil. Running Mobil 1 full synthetic. (AFM turned off) 2008 V-Max 6.0 burns no oil. Running Mobil 1 full synthetic.
