  1. No nothing that I know of. Before plugging it in I did go into the trucks setting to forget my phone ( bluetooth) then shut the truck off then started it and plugged in the dongle and then went to Bluetooth on my phone to connect to the dongle and it worked. I didn’t update to the latest firmware as I'm worried it won’t work if I do.
  2. Yeah it’s awesome others I read have issues so not sure if they changed something to make it work now but I love it. My plan was the same as yours I was thinking we could just take the stereo module out of a newer vehicle with wireless CarPlay. I took the bluetooth modules from a 2012 and was plug and play in my 2008 to give me factory Bluetooth so hopefully it’s the same so the ones that can’t get this dongle working have another option.
  3. I just received my Carplay2air last week and so far has been working flawless in my 2020 3500hd Denali. I didn’t update to the latest software as was worried it would mess it up but so far has been perfect. It connects automatically every time so far takes about 10-30 seconds to get connected once you turn the radio on. I love being completely wireless!
  4. I bought the CarPlay2air dongle it makes CarPlay wireless and so far it’s been working awesome in my 2020 3500hd Denali automatically connects every time.
  5. I got my Carplay2air a few weeks ago and has been flawless in my 2020. I didn’t update it to the newest version as it works perfect and don’t want to chance the update screwing it up. It connects every time but takes about 10-20 seconds
  6. Awesome thanks so much for the info.
  7. Looks good what off set is on the rims? Also how much tire is sticking out side the wheel well? Did you have to do any trimming? How does it ride vs stock?
  8. Well I tried the Carplay2air dongle and it works great! So far no issues hooks up automatically every time. Using the usb in the console so it’s hidden.
  9. I had the dealer when I bought the truck switch them out. Not sure what brand they are but I really like them.
  10. I used Vvivd Smoke black gloss Vinyl headlight headlight tint from amazon it came in 2 rolls 12x24
  11. For those that have sled decks this worked very well bought a two prong plug from amazon and wired into the taillight then plug the deck into it. This makes a nice looking install but also easy to remove the deck.
  12. I just bought my 2020 with this tailgate and I wired in a waterproof toggle switch down by the receiver hitch that I can disable/enable the center part of the tailgate to unlock or not.
  13. Just picked up my new Denali a month ago. So far had the sled deck built for it Ceramic coated, blacked out gmc logos, blacked out side marker lights, hardwired a radar detector in now just waiting for BDS to release their 4”lift kit to get some new rims and rubber.
  14. Has anyone seen or heard if we can take the modules from a 2021 gmc Tahoe or Sierra and put in our 2020’s to get the wireless CarPlay? I just picked my new Denali up a month ago and got it back last Monday from ceramic coating absolutely love the truck but definitely need wireless CarPlay.
  15. Thanks. That really sucks you would think its not that difficult to program hopefully you can get it to work. I thought the only reason for programing was to get full function of the on star.
  16. No programing at all just plug and play
  17.
