    When you start adding lift kits and modding it yourself you're still building it from a stock truck. Now if you go out and buy the truck lifted, tuned, etc. then you bought it that way. Hence, "Built Not Bought"

    Did front brakes and rotors on the 06 express van we have for work. Did an 09 express cutaway box truck on saturday (just pads). Also yanked the PCM in my truck and gonna be sending it into Diablosport along with their tuner to get my Vin put back on the PCM. Should have listened to everyone and myself and just got a Blackbear tune...

    Welp, my truck is dead in the water right now. Got my Diablosport trinity tuner in, updated it, installed tune, truck ran awesome but I wanted to mess with some other tunes. Reinstalled factory tune, said it was successful, installed the "eco" tune came up with error so I reinstalled factory tune again. Went to go start truck to keep battery from dying, no start, nothing. Tuner says it can't detect PCM now and there is no stock file on tuner from what I can see. Called diablosport and their support hours are a bunch of crap. Gonna get off early tomorrow and work on it. Stupid shit like this only happens to me I swear

    It sounds like GM is paying the field engineers more to try and fix these issues than they would to sit down for a week and figure it all out haha

    So anyone with aftermarket wheels and tires experience that they need to have them vector matched in order to eliminate vibration? It sounds like these trucks are just super sensitive to "out of spec" tires (which I know isn't the case for most of yall) in which a regular mount and balance won't suffice

    Ah gotcha. So is it just because the tires are actually bad or are these trucks just so sensitive to tires they have to be within a really tight spec to not vibrate the truck? That is, if that's the only issue is tires lol

    Well been a while since I've been in here. Haven't done anything to the truck recently besides oil changes and tire rotations. I did take it into the dealership twice to get them to correct the vibe issues. First time was in September and it cured it for 2 weeks, then came back. Took it back in a couple days ago and they did a road force balance and matched the tires and wheels with their machine (not sure of the technical term). They almost gave me a new set of tires, but couldn't prove to gm that they were out of spec, so that was kind of a downer considering mine are almost done for lol. But, so far so good! Did 120+ miles at 76-80mph yesterday to test for vibrations and I didn't feel any. We'll see how long it lasts. On another note, I did buy a tuner last night. Diablosport Trinity tuner. Reasons I went with the Diablosport is 1) I like a can tuner because I can also use it as a monitor/ gauges and 2) because Diablosport has custom tuners that can work out tunes specifically for you. If I didn't want the gauges I may have gone with Blackbear as I've heard only positive things about them. Gonna be time for new tires here soon, so I've been looking at new wheels as well. Also want to upgrade the struts and shocks to Bilstein 5100's all the way around in the next year. This is assuming I don't get any vibes coming back into the truck.

    Update on my truck. They road forced the tires and matched the high spots on the tires with the lows on the wheels or whatever you wanna call it. They were so close to giving a complete new set of new tires but they were all within spec. I need new tires here soon because I'm at 33k miles, kinda upset about that lol But, I will say, took it for a 120 mile trip today on the highway and so far so good! Stock shocks suck ass time for an upgrade, if it doesn't vibrate again, I'm hopeful lol

    My next truck is an HD. Love how tall they set, and most of the newer diesel, if babied, get as good if not better fuel economy than my 5.3L gas truck with much more potential

    I need a print off of my first "fix" they didn't give me one cause I didn't owe anything. I'll be sure to have them print it off as well as this one coming up. Is it bad I'm preparing to go through buyback this soon based on everyone else's outcome? Lol

    The 8 speed is standard on the 5.3 now in the 2016 MY, the 8 speed became standard on the 6.2 in 2015 MY

    Dropped mine off again today. See what comes of it. My service writer and the service manager are very patient with me and understand my frustration. Another thing, since this is my second attempt, should I let them know I will pursue a buyback or lemon law it after the third and final failed attempt?

    Well my next little project isn't on the truck, but rather my trailer. Gonna be installing some reverse lights on the rear crossbeam as well as two mounted underneath the front crossbeam pointing outwards towards the tires so I can see where I'm going with it. Lights in total were $70, I have a bunch of wire already, so that didn't cost me anything. Have to pick up an in line fuse tomorrow. Glad the 7 pin trailer heads have a pin specifically for backup lamps, and that my truck actually works without having to put any fuses in under the hood or on the driver panel. Pics will come when I'm done with the project! Hopefully I can tackle it Sunday

    Install all aftermarket ring and pinions and let me know if it cures it. Then try gmt900 cab mounts, or vise versa. Those are the only things I can think of the try

    Set up my second appt for Thursday to check out my 76-80 vibe as well as my 80- 60 deceleration vibration (steering shaft shakes while decelerating). I'm also taking it in for a windshield under warranty. Was fine Saturday, walked out Sunday morning and there is a crack halfway up the windshield driver side about a quarter of the way across. Starts at the edge of the windshield, no rock chip or anything. Wtf is that? At just over 32k miles my bumper to bumper is about to run out and seems like this truck is falling apart as I speak lol. May be time to make some moves if nothing gets corrected
