  1. I know some people don't ever change it, and if it smells good and looks good I guess that's good enough for them. Mine was brown and wasn't burnt but didn't exactly smell like trans fluid should. I tow a lot with this truck so I definitely have to keep up with the fluids. On a side note, I'm surprised he has 250k on that trans, even if he doesn't tow. Most I've seen on one is 200k, and they're usually dead before then too Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  2. I'm rolling up on 75k hard miles myself. Few issues along the way but everything got worked out. I had a range unit at first but put a tuner on about 30k miles ago and the truck has ran better than ever honestly. Trans feels good, engine runs strong. Just be sure you get those driveline fluids all replaced, the 100k miles interval is BS, everything has been changed at least twice on my truck so far
  3. Did a good bit on her yesterday. Both diff fluids swapped, tire rotation, oil change Here's the old rear fluid, it needed changing Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. Look at the price today haha Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. I don't have the patience to do it myself lol or else I would. If I didn't have so many water spots on the truck I would clay bar it and re apply wax myself. I'm gonna let him take care of the water spots and bring it back and then I'll maintain it from there Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  6. In contact with a guy that detailed my coworkers Jeep and for how old it is the thing really shines. Gonna see what he'll charge me to bring my paint back Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  7. There is a dipstick though on these trucks Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. I should add it to my wish list and wait for the price to drop and buy a few lol Did that with my cordless impact I got about a year ago. Had it in my wishlist for a few years as finally it dropped drastically to 365 and regular price was 430. Swooped it up and glad I did bc the price went back up the next day Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  9. It says 14.75 on amazon for me, I was about to order another for $10 even though I just replaced mine lol Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. Takes 5 minutes to do as long as you have a torx bit set and a nut driver Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  11. I'm gonna keep an eye on it a lot more closer for now on and once that nice red color wears away I'll do another pan drop. Wish I had enough to pump the torque converter full of this stuff too without the old stuff being in there, like JSDirt did Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  12. According to GM the life of the fluid is 100k miles under normal driving, 50k for severe service. Obviously I overshot it by about 10k miles. The tcase is the same as well. The differentials are a "fill for life" aka 100k miles so when they grenade on you it's out of warranty, those will be done this week. And after having it in there a few days the truck seems to shift smoother. And JSDirt, these new trucks have a built in trans thermostat which fully opens around 192 or so, and I've never had it over 220 to my knowledge, I always keep it on the trans temp readout while towing Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  13. From what I remember it didn't smell burnt. I'm just wondering how it got so dark considering I swapped the stock fluid and filter around 15k so only 60k on this fluid, maybe from towing so much? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. Did a pan drop today and replaced the filter and pan gasket. Also took care of the transfer case while under there. Filled both them up with the good stuff. I don't think it's supposed to be brown and black [emoji53] Nice and clean! That's not red... Yeah man that's the good stuff (Kenny Chesney song) Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. I tow quite frequently myself, maybe I should give it a shot as well Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  16. 5w20? Did you opt for that over the 0w20? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  18. I've seen my old truck once since I've sold it. I regret selling it but I didn't have the funds to repair the rust damage and it's not like it was getting any better. Invested WAY too much money into that rolling death trap to have let it go for what I did but what's done is done Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. Sides of the cover looks better IMO Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. And over 53 mph average speed you know you do almost all highway driving lol. My truck is like 32mph average speed haha Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  21. Damn that's a really clean truck, love that iridium color too [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. Cute, I'm almost at 72k now lol Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. Not sure if I mentioned this last weekend when I towed the bikes to go riding but I always keep the truck in 4th gear with tow/haul activated so it's not gear hunting and I have some power on tap if I need it. Anyways, the coolant temp climbed slightly above the 210 mark which I though was odd considering they just flushed my system, replaced the thermostat, and also the radiator under the extended warranty. This is certainly not the heaviest load I've towed with the truck but I'm just wondering why it climbed up that far, considering its never left the 210 mark in the history of me driving this truck. Coolant was topped off too, weirdest thing. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. Replaced the cabin air filter today Also cleaned the outside. Spent 2 hours on it and it still looks like crap. Only downside to being on a well, the hard water spots. Guess I need to detail it. Or just trade it in... [emoji23] [emoji23] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. That cell phone mount is actually pretty solid as it sets, really only vibrates or shakes when you hit a bad rail road track, pot hole, or you bump it with your hand. Very satisfied for the price I paid, thinking about getting one for the work van I drive often Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
