  1. Ok should I be worried about this: My old driveshaft is the big one. The new one I got is smaller in diameter but the slip yoke and length and u joints are the same? Am I gonna like break this new one or should I be fine? It came from an 03 silverado extended cab short bed 4x4. Did z71's come with bigger rear shafts or did GM just decide to change the diameter? 2. I live no joke across the street from Quantico MCB's training grounds for their jets. I remember I looked up one time and I swear a jet was so close that it was about to touch the trees. Whole house shakes too lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  3. Got my new u bolts in: My buddy has my u bolt flip kit plate. Needed the center hole drilled out bigger to fit over the spring center pin. New driveshaft is in the mail and be here thursday. My axle builder said he should have it done by the end of the week which would be awesome! Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  4. Hope it solves your problem! Let me know if you piece it out I'll buy it as a parts truck lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  5. That brake fluid is nasty! Take better care of your things! Lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  6. You havent bought half the parts I have. No room for you to complain lol On another hand, I made a quick disconnect breather for my axle tube Not actually going to use it just used it to check the threads. I use a 1/4" air hose barbed end with the 1/4-18 NPT male thread on the end. Works good so that's all that matters Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  7. Gotcha. Shouldn't a rear driveshaft from an 05 extended cab 4x4 short bed fit my truck? They didn't change anything between those years correct? Everything is the same except the year Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  8. I know lol I figured you would at least follow your own advice. My brake overhaul was the best investment I've done to my truck so far. Big heavy tires and teeny tiny brakes don't go so well together lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  9. SUV rears as well... Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  10. I did my hydroboost swap plus the 06 fronts and SUV rears and braided stainless all at once so I'm not sure I could tell if they made a big difference lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  11. Should have got loaded calipers. That's how I did mine. So much easier. I also put EBC green stuff pads on though Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  12. Keep getting the wrong parts? Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  13. Also plan on doing a u bolt flip kit when I install the new housing. Looks cleaner and I need new u bolts anyways Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  14. Don't you'll start breaking stuff like me lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  15. Thanks buddy. Just finished 1st and 2nd coat of gloss Plan on two or three more coats. Put the pop up Gazebo over it because they are calling for rain plus there is no room in the garage. Damn quads and truck parts take up 75% of the floor space lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  16. Finished sandblasting. Hit it with a coat of primer: Didn't realize till I finished but I should have drained the fluid and pulled the axles out completely and set those on the jackstands so I could rotate the housing. Either that or it would be nice to have a spare for my truck and can use that to set it upright so I can get all the way around it at once Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  17. Started sandblasting the new housing. A lot less pitting on this one for sure. 94 outside in pants long sleeve blasting helmet and muck boots sucks Pulled axles to remove e brake bracket and slid em back in so it would seal it up for the most part. Needed to get to the ends of the housing Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  18. Go all out with bilstein 5160's lol jk that's a lot of cash. Monroe ride nice. If you got the extra coin get Bilstein 5100's Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  19. Only Ryan would know that... lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  20. Agreed. Like I said mine was 6k with me (270 lbs) plus a loaded toolbox and lift, tires, stereo equipment, etc. I wouldnt think the crew cab can be that much heavier than my extended cab Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  21. I did more wheeling with it when it was stock cause it was cheaper to fix at that point lol Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  22. New winner? Lol, this was about a year ago trying to pull some other guy out of a hole and I didn't know the area so I dropped right into this one haha Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  23. I'll let you know how they ride. I also cranked down an inch. Can't go too far cause of my bent axle tube. I'll have a better review of them in hopefully 2 or 3 weeks Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  24. My truck weighs in at 6k with my fat ass in it. Also got my front 5160's installed today Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
  25. Tow haul just keeps it out of OD. Maybe you already knew that Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
