  2. I don't think 37's wrapped around 20's looks bad. That's what I plan on getting
  3. Get my gears from the cryo shop on the 16th. Man, what a wait. But they will be installed the next weekend!!!

Likin' the flag in the background! Haha nice truck!!
  5. Just pulled the trigger on a Yukon Grizzly Locker and 4.88's... Cant wait to get them installed!

  6. Im sure you already know this, but lose the spare tire. Other than that, looks like its gonna be a slick drag truck!
  7. I want some 20" XD Hoss wheels with 37's... They look mean

  8. $1780 for new gears, locker, and install kits. Hopefully another $1000 and I'll have my 4.88's installed!!!

  9. Looks sweet. and has almost a factory look to it. Nice job!
  10. What kind did you use? Will be nice to keep my truck looking new whenever I get my paint job
  11. I used one washer on each mirror and helped a little bit but still a little bit to go. If I use more than one washer then the cover piece does not sit flush with body. Oh well... Edit: Did the wrong technique. Looked it up and found a how to on leveling them on our forum. I was using washers on the top mounting bolt haha
  12. Do you know how many washers are needed per side? And will it still sit flush with the body? My tows are kicked up and it annoys me while towing
  13. Mine on my 02 is not a 6" lift, even though that's what I ordered. Might be different for a NNBS truck though. I'm going to a Mcgaughy's lift. Heard good things bout them, and price is not too bad. Will be ordering one after I get my gears installed and get 37's Oh, and mine measured in at 4.5" on my front a arm drop bracket (middle of top bolt to middle of the lower bolt)
  14. Sure as hell is true! Anytime we have a truck that sits at work, it always seem to break down when we need it the most especially that crappy International DT466 motor, what a nightmare... I used a regular gasket on mine as well as the tube stuff but in a black tube and was "specially formulated" for differential oil. But hey, it hasnt leaked yet so Im happy!
  15. That's a slick lookin truck right there. Always have liked white trucks with black wheels. Black headlights and fogs are a nice addition too!
  16. dang, for an 08 you are up there! Never seen a NNBS with miles over 200k, let alone 300k! Your gonna pass me in no time!
  17. wrote up a hydroboost conversion how-to for anyone that wants to check it out

  18. Hydroboost+ brake upgrade= best upgrade Ive done so far! Locked up a tire on accident by pushing the pedal just a little too hard. Bye bye spongy pedal feel!!!

  19. PS pump went out today, the day after i received my new one for my hydroboost conversion. Perfect timing!!!

  20. From the album: Brake upgrade

This was the most time consuming part of my day. I had to get into each nook and cranny for both coats. Plus I did the entire caliper since it isn't on the truck yet. I hung each caliper from a bolt that was attached to rope which I tied to a cable running between two trees. I used G2 caliper paint, very good stuff. Must use it in under 6 hours though. And it does look sorta orange, but once it dried, it is a lot redder than that

    Brake upgrade

Couple pics of stripping, painting, and setting up new brakes. Gonna be about 3 weeks before I can install everything!
  22. From the album: Brake upgrade

Here is a one of the calipers stripped down to bare metal. After you get as much paint off as you can with a putty knife, I used a wire brush and some brake cleaner, turned out beautifully!
  23. From the album: Brake upgrade

Calipers came with paint and Ive heard it is best to paint calipers from bare metal so I took out the time to remove the paint that NAPA put on there during the reman process. Used aircraft remover and a crap paint brush and it came off as easy as possible! This was my first time using that aircarft remover and man, is that stuff powerful. And the scent is not very pleasant either
  24. Got my truck stuck tryin to get someone else out.WTF!? Had to leave it in the hole overnight. Will attempt again in the morning
