I'm looking to do a full interior swap/update on my '99 silverado, don't know much about interior fabrication but i'm going to do what I have to in order to make it work. For now I plan on taking everything I can out of a part-out silverado from 2014 or newer and throwing it straight into my truck. If anybody has any tips or prior knowledge from a project of the same nature any help would be appreciated. From what I could find, not many people have documented this sort of thing on YouTube and the ones who have only show off the final product instead of the full process or steps they needed to take in order to get what I'm looking for.

This is pissing me off. I've never been able to get my contacts to load to my truck infotainment system. 2019 truck, 2019 phone... You would think it would not be rocket science. Flash forward to yesterday, so we have completed outfitting a new 2020 2500 diesel WT (with the plain jane WT radio). The chief said all the officers can pair their phones to the truck if they wish. What do you know? It takes just a few seconds to pair and completely download my contacts to this bare bones radio. WTF GM??? Issue an update or whatever to my radio so I can use my flipping phone!!!

Hey Forum, Does anyone know if there are any available software updates for a 2014 Silverado? Has anyone had any updates performed at the dealer? My concerns are that I do not have the latest software in my truck. I have a 2014 Z71 but it does not have an Offroad Module on the DIC nor does it read text messages or have the texting module on the MyLink center screen. I would imagine that there would be some updates available for the ECU also. I could be missing more items here, but I'm just not sure what else may be out there that I don't have.

Hello all. This is my first post on this forum. I joined just a few days ago and have been searching this forum for my answer but cannot find it. I tried to use the search feature but it doesn’t seem to work on my iphone. I have been having problems with the infotainment system with my truck that i bought about a month ago. Its doing the thing were it will play bluetoothed music the same time as the radio. From what i have read is that there is a software update available that resolves the issue. My truck also has the “Advanced Trailering Package” and some of its features have been a little glitchy so i plan to take the truck to the dealer to have these updates done. But before i go i want to be ready with specific TSB numbers so they know i mean business and dont pass them off as normal. I would also just like to know in general were i can find a continually updating list of TSBs for our trucks. Can someone please point me in that direction? Thanks! -
My 2015 Silverado 2500 radio has stopped working. Seems to not get signal from ignition when to activate. Back up camera works fine. Radio will suddenly turn on sometimes or if CD is pushed in or fuze is pulled and reset. No bluetooth connectivity. Any thoughts....Dealership wants $150 to diagnose and $150 to reprogram.

Hello, just picked up a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali this week and have a couple questions if anyone can answer then would be great. I'm curious if there's a way to have all 4 gauges on when in theTechnology and Media Themes without engaging the tow/haul mode? Also, are there any additional themes either available or being made available besides the 3 that come installed in the system? Thanks, Storman22 -
Hey guys, I know its the truck forum but its built on the same frame and most of the same parts. I have an 09 Tahoe hybrid with the nav and I tried a new nav disk the other day because the dealer I bought my tahoe from decided not to give me the nav disk with it. It started out loading ok got a quarter of the way through the process and failed and gave me an error "Caution cannot load system software disk type incorrect please insert correct system disk" Problem is I cannot get anything to respond to open the face and insert the disk again. Any idea on opening the face. There has to be a sequence of buttons to push and make it open. Ive tried holding the eject button to no avail. I attached a pic of the screen and buttons so you see what im working with. Thanks for the help.

The press release was short and sweet. The Sierra will get a new front end, LED running lights, a new grill for each trim level, and LED fog lamps, and new LED tail-lights. I took delivery of my 2015 Silverado in late May which has a build date of 4/15 that came with the 6 month free trial. I noticed I have not received any diagnostic reports that my salesman promised would come monthly. I logged onto my Onstar account online and saw the last time a report was run was the day I took delivery. So I called Onstar via the blue button and explained my situation. The adviser transferred me to a Technical Adviser who, after making sure my contact information was correct, told me there was an update for my vehicle which would take 5-7 minutes. She put me on hold, came back and said the update was completed successfully and a new report will run within 24 hours. My vehicle left the factory in April and there was already an update for it. Out of curiosity, anyone else experience something similar or know anything about OnStar updates? Wasn't even aware these can be updated and remotely no less.
