I’ve had my Leer camper shell with electric lock for the hatch for six months. All was good. Then one day I happen to check the tailgate and it wasn’t locking anymore. Just the glass was locking and unlocking with the factory remote. Took it to my GMC dealer and they undid the wires that were t-tapped in the tailgate lock. The lock and unlock on the tailgate worked again. Everything else was a plug and play harness for the cap. Tried Posi-Taps and had the same results. I’ve heard the drivers side door rocker area has wires to tap into. With that said where did your dealer get the signal for the lock at? Could the module that unlocks the hatch be bad. Going to the Leer dealer this weekend to see what they can find but they say they never had any issues on the K2 trucks.

So I currently have a bakflip MFX4 on my truck...it does ok, but it does leak...more of the issue is that my wife started a new business and in some instances it would be very beneficial to have more room, dare I say a camper shell. No offense to anyone who might have one, but I'm not into the old school multi-level jobs...but I am trying to warm up to the cab-level versions...we just started this process, so I'm not even real sure about pricing and models, etc. I would prefer kind of a sporty look to enhance the look of my truck rather than detract from it... If you could post some pics, model/manf, prices etc, and recommendations, I would certainly appreciate it. really so far I have come across Leer, ARE, Snugtop...but haven't really found much about each of them yet... Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody from sunny Saskat-chewan. I have a 2000 GMC C6500 topkick (former U-hauler) and I would like to lock my fuel tank (60 gal - gasoline | 7.4l V8) away from prying hoses. I'm going to drill and tap the cap, and put in an allen-key set screw but I'd prefer a regular keyed arrangement. Any comments on this topic, preferably with a locking cap solution? The only locking caps I see around have a male thread - my truck requires a cap with female threads. Thanks in advance, Keep On Truckin'!

I'm thinking of replacing my tonneau cover with a custom truck cap. Anyone have any pictures or just want to share your overall experience? I have a 2015 Sierra Regular Cab Short Bed pickup. It would be awesome to see pictures of truck caps from a short wheel base single cab!

$700 for both obo. I obviously paid a lot more than this when they were new, but I need to replace the engine and cannot afford to do so right now. If I can sell the accessories I don't need it'll make the repair easier so they are priced to sell. Located in Northern IL, and my email is [email protected] to contact me faster. Thanks for your time.

Of course my first post would be a trouble shooting question right. So ive got a 97 5.7 vortec, new starter, alternator, fuel pump and filter. a while back i started having issues getting my truck to start if the engine was warm and i had turned it off. usually quick trips to the store were ok but as soon as my engine gets to temperature it wont start. ideas of where to start looking.

Just cleaning out my ever growing garage (actually don't have a garage so no room for this stuff, lol). Long story short I haven't had good luck with mirror caps except for when I installed the color matched. But my loss is your gain and the mirror caps are included for free with the door handles. There is no discount if you do not want the mirror caps as that does not affect my shipping prices. If you have any questions please post and I will do my best to answer as soon as possible. Thanks for looking guys. For Sale (Pictures and Pricing below) Black door handles and mirror cap set - $65 shippedI order this set from eBay and the seller did not properly package the mirror caps so one clip and one tab broke on them. I still have the broken piece of the clip attached to the mirror cap via scotch tape as seen in the pictures below. The door handles themselves are absolutely perfect, they were new take off's. My original intention was to have them painted but I just ended up purchasing a set of color matched door handle and caps instead. So now when you buy the door handles you get the mirror caps for FREE!!! Chrome door handles and mirror cap set - $85 shipped ***SOLD***The chrome door handles and mirror cap set were the ones that game on my vehicle from the factory. I removed the door handles with not issues but really sucked at removing the mirror caps. I broke a good bit of the clips on the mirror caps but they will still work. If they don't work just throw them out as I am including them for FREE with the door handles. Both the door handles are mirror caps exterior are in perfect like new condition. They were both coated with black plasti dip since 900 miles, the truck is now a couple hundred miles under 5,000 miles. If you see any spots or blemishes on the chrome that is just left over plasti dip (I will clean/shine them up before shipping of course). Black Broken piece of the clip is attached to the mirror cap underneath the scotch. Chrome

Anyone have a set of blue granite metallic bumper end caps for a 2010 silverado 1500 they want to get rid of? I scraped up my driver's side end cap and don't want to pay to have it painted or buy the chrome ones to replace them with. If so, name your price. Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and am in desperate need of help. In the past two weeks my truck has been low on power, my fuel economy sucks, and it feels like its hesitating or misfiring. I've already replaced spark plugs, my cap and rotor, coil, and coolant temperature sensor and nothing has fixed this misfire/hesitation. When I took the plugs out a few of them had a white/grey build up that I've never seen before and I figured that had to be it but it wasn't. Do I need a distributor next? I also recently put in a new fuel pump and filter so that's not the problem. Help me out guys, if yall need anymore info just ask! Thanks!
